Review Pitcher And Iron - Subiaco

Waffle is absolutely AMAZING. Best that I’ve ever had & based on my size. I’ve had my fair share. Its crunchy outside yet fluffy in the middle. It a feat that is hard to accomplish and yet, this place have truely made a league of its own.

Absolutely DELICIOUS. The Brussels style waffles were perfect as their light and fluffy style made the meal feel not to heavy and sickly. I enjoyed the Strawberry Fields with a strawberry milkshake and I was not disappointed. The milkshake was perfect, not too sweet and sugary, and the plate came with the perfect amount of strawberries and ice cream to waffle ratio. The person I came with ordered the Belgian Liege style waffles which was absolutely yummy. Accompanying this dish was a regular vanilla milkshake was was similar to the strawberry one, not sickly sugary. Service was very quick and staff were super friendly. They even gave us two complimentary mini Liege style waffles on little pop-sticks dusted with icing sugar. I would 100% recommended going to this very awesome little cafe whenever you have a sweet tooth or a craving for delicious waffles.

Another place iv been wanting to try and finally did. I'm not a big waffle eater but jeepers these desserts are amazing. Waffles super light and crunchy, really delicious and not sickly. Had a really nice coffee to top it off. Worth trying and will be back !!

Tried both the brussels and liege waffle base, preferred the liege. Both were aesthetically pleasing and tasted just as good as they looked. Service is good and reasonably quick. There’s a quite a few options to choose from on the menu and you’re able to choose whatever base you’d prefer.

There is always extra space for waffle. Me and my mate just had dinner an hour before we had this dessert. I was worried I might not be able to finish it. However, the waffle were very light and not too sweet. I will definitely come again to try something else.

Fantastic food, I've been searching for a good dessert place in Perth and I've finally found it! Lots of places plate well, bug leave you overloaded with sugar and just a bit disappointed, bug not here! I will be back again and again. I had the carnival waffles, my hubby had the apple crumble waffles, both served quickly, presented exactly like the menu said they would and were delicious!

Dish decoration totally different from the picture on the menu, or did I order the wrong one 🤔 anyway this was the best waffle I tried in Perth. Crispy outside, soft and and a light gummy texture inside.. so good ! will definitely come again for other menu 🍰. Highly recommend 🤗

Just Waffle with dark chocolate was nice. Even though we choose dark chocolate, it was sweet.. like normal chocolate. Green Tea with sesame Waffle was bit disappointing. Too much sesame seed on the plate! If you want to try then better to ask seed on the side... I ordered long black... it was way to bitter.... and my friend ordered latte and it was super sweet....

We came here for dessert after dinner. Luckily we got here early before this place get totally packed. The matcha waffle was absolutely delicious .The duchess ( strawberry and lychee flavor) waffle was good too except I didn’t really like the pavlova ice cream that came with it. Drink was good too. Service was very friendly. We had a really nice experience and would definitely return for more.

There’s quite an extensive menu here. You get to choose between the leige or Belgian waffle, both of which were crispy and delicious. Go for the leige if you prefer airier waffles, and Belgian for dense waffles. They make decent coffee too.

Went for breakfast this morning with daughter and my sister. We ordered the Fried Chicken Bites Waffles, the Nom Nom Chicken Waffles and I had the French Toast.Loved it all. Service was very friendly and food came fairly quickly. Was all fresh and tasty (loved the pesto). The French Toast was amazing.Little bit pricey but we had the Entertainment voucher so all good.We would go back if in the area and can highly recommend.

Best breakfast in town. Friendly staffs and good services. Loves their UNIQUE savoury waffles, makes the breakfast extra ordinary. Feels satisfied!

The chicken bites waffle is SO GOOD!!
Chicken was fried perfectly 👌🏻
Ordered thai latte and its a great match to the waffles.
Super recommended!

Had a wonderful experience here today. Lovely, friendly service was just the start. We only managed to sample the savoury waffles - a pulled pork eggs benny and the spicy pork. Both were fabulous. Came out fast as well! The Belgian frites are yummy and come with both aioli and tomato sauce. Can’t wait to go back and try the sweet waffles/treats.

popped in on a saturday just before midday. plenty of tables available. service was relatively friendly and helpful. i enjoyed my croque madame, but my dining partners who shared the chicken bites waffle said it was just okay. we all agreed the texture and taste of the waffles themselves were great though! coffees were fine. for 2 waffles dishes and 3 coffees it was almost $50, but with the entertainment voucher it was worth it. wouldn’t come back without a voucher, but we had a nice experience overall here.

Very unique menu, combination of chicken, waffle and avocado blended very well. Excellent customer service, and will come back to try the desserts.

Cute and clean cafe with very friendly customer service. Food was beautifully plated up, tasted fresh and was well seasoned. An enjoyable visit!

Cool, new little restaurant which is perfect for a weekend brunch. We ordered the smashed avo with bacon, pulled pork benedict, and feta and mushroom waffles. Along with our coffees, all dishes were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. Service was extremely friendly, prices were surprisingly low for Subi, and combined with the Entertainment discount, it was a fantastic experience and we will be back to try more of the menu.

Ordered the savoury waffles with chicken. The waffles were really good and chewy. The concept is also unique, combining waffles with korean chicken. I wanted to try the sweet waffles as well but they only served the sweet waffles on the evening (3pm onwards).

Apple crumble Brussels waffle $15.00
The Carnival Liege waffle $13.00
Matcha Latte $4.50
The Pitcher $5.50
Great place for dessert, very comfortable, clean and friendly service. Recommended.

Great for dessert. The waffles are cooked perfectly and the toppings are so fun and pretty. Haven't tried the brunch yet, will have to do that soon.

Saw this place come up on instagram and in the recent update in the entertainment book. Decor was simple but nice, sleek black and white with pops of greenery from indoor plants. It is not common for both hubby and I to both choose the same dish but the nom nom chicken waffle sounded so good that we both wanted her whole serve to ourselves. It did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy and not oily, with a generous serving too. On the slight sweet waffle and seaweed salad with the Korean spicy sauce on the plate, it was a delicious combo. The side of fries were also yummy as they came out fresh and crispy. No complaints. Will be back to try their dessert dishes.

I loved this cosy little waffle place in Subi. I ordered the Spectacular Speculoos which i thought was amazingly good!! I was choosing between that and Nutella and im glad i tried something different. I liked how the waffle (forgot which one it was) was cooked and the speculoos really complemented everything on that plate. My friend ordered the peanut butter waffle which was also good. I was expecting a twist on the peanut butter but it seemed a little ordinary though - but the waffle itself was delicious and soft.

This place was fantastic! Love the two types of waffles as well as the great selection of toppings. The staff here are knowledgeable and very friendly Hopefully it won’t be a phase and the place continues to do well.

As locals my daughter and I were keen to check out breakfast here ..Nice decor , friendly efficient service and wide range of options ....
We both chose savoury brunch options - daughter had Big Belgian breakfast - poached eggs and bacon and hash browns (she declined the tomato and mushrooms )and two chipolatas with coleslaw ..Arrived looking lovely but she felt the sweet waffle wasn’t best with the savoury toppings(she ate it separately and said it was yummy ).Also not a fan of the bacon - not crispy and limp so looked boiled ...I had the smashed avocado and scrambled egg with bacon on waffle ..Felt her comments applied here too .Not a fan of the sweet waffle base and soggy bacon .Daughters milkshake was good and my almond flat white drinkable but average ..
Overall a nice spot but we won’t have a savoury brekkie here - save it for dessert !!Options there look wonderful .....

Great small desert shop hidden in the quiet side of Subiaco. Ordered the Belgian Nutella waffle with fruits and it was great from start to end. The waffle was crispy and didn’t go soggy with the cream and chocolate ( I do prefer my waffle crispy to give some texture). Presentation and quantity was great for price and really hit the right notes.

Cosy and casual, this place and is a must go for all waffle enthusiast.

Been here for first time , tried their chicken waffle & pulled pork waffle, we fell in love with their warmth of service & hospitality , food is really nice as well. Chicken waffle is a must!

Food 4.5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 5/5

We came here after dinner one night to try their waffles. It was great!! We had the strawberry option with brussel waffles. The waffles were so crispy and hot, which paired beautifully with the strawberry ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry sauce. The presentation was on point and the staff were very friendly

I ordered the pulled pork Benedict and what a stunning meal! Perfectly poached eggs, delicious hollandaise, perfectly executed tender pulled pork with an equally enjoyable BBQ sauce, served atop a delicious Liege waffle. To complement the flavours and richness a much needed side of watercress and tasty peppery coleslaw. Totally satisfied and stuffed. Fantastic creation.

I have a soft spot for pancakes, waffles, French toast kind of thing. The first time I came here I had the pulled pork waffle, which I thought was nice. But I thought the waffle was not served hot. So I came again last night. I ordered just a plain waffle with dark chocolate sauce. Again the waffle was cold. It was definitely made fresh on the spot. I noticed it was blown by a fan the moment it came out of the waffle maker. My darling said to me it was to make it crispy. The problem with that is I will never get a hot waffle! That’s my only disappointment.

It was our first time beeing here. We recommend the pull pork and chicken waffel. The Belgian one is not recommended because it‘s too plain.
It is a quite decent store located in the centre of Subiaco. We came here on a Sunday morning. There are not many customers. We waited around 20 minutes for the meal. The coffee is just so so.

Been here twice now for their waffles. I ordered their light and crispy Brussels Waffles both times and they are yum! The decor and atmosphere was great, staff service was great, will be back again. My favorite was the Jean Claude, love the maple bacon, tastes like 'bak gua' (if you're familiar with that), goes well with the waffle and beer ice-cream. The Apple Crumble was good too with the salty caramel sauce. My friend loved the Strawberry field, great one for strawberries lovers. And my second favorite is the Belgian chocolate with cherry, the chocolate tastes so good and goes well with the cherries! And needless to say the presentation was amazing as evident by the pictures. Will definitely be back!

greeted with great service and warm welcome.
prices for brunch were good too - most were below $20 from memory. Our favourites: chicken bites waffles (pesto drizzle around the plate), croque madame (pictured with two sunny sides). The pulled pork with hollandaise was ok too.

The mushroom with balsamic and waffle was quite bland, in my humble opinion - the liege waffle does not pair very well with plain mushrooms and there was not enough feta crumbles.

If i returned i would go for the croque madame. And the hot fries hits a spot! I cant wait to try the brussels waffle as i love light waffles with some hot chocolate.

3.7 rating

We went to Pitcher and Iron as I keep wanting to try this place. It’s been opened for 2 weeks or so now.
We were greeted by the waitress and she asked if wanted a seat. We said we are looking at the menu.
The food and coffee were served very fast.
We ordered the fried chicken waffles and the avocado waffles. It was very good, the waffles are freshly made and not soggy.
I will go back and try their dessert waffles.
The service of this place is good!

The best birthday treat right here at @pitcherandiron
\\ Chicken Bites Waffle .. 🍗
\\ Big Belgian
\\ 3 Stuffed French Toast
————————————
✨We talking quality chicken and quality waffles here 🤩.. To be honest the food was so amazing, that I can’t pick which one was best.
✨We ordered the french toasts with peanut butter and honeycomb ice cream .. there was explosion of flavours!
✨The fried chicken wasn’t sickening or greasy and the waffle was perfect. I’m yet to try their dessert menu but I will definitely go back to try them and I’m so excited for it.

Beautiful creative menu for waffles lovers! Staffs are amazingly good! Great service! Highly recommended! Just wish they could have more sweet options in the afternoon.

Superb brunch with great food, ambience, not too noisy and good service. The service was really attentive and the food size is substantial, we could never finish it off. We tried the matcha latte which is nicely done, not too much matcha and not too much milk. The fried chicken waffle and the hash brown waffle are our most favourite dishes! To end our perfect afternoon, we had the hand rolled French toast, very tasty too! Would definitely come back to have more and get our favourites again. Highly recommended!

Really nice wait staff, delicious food and lovely layout. They need more sweet options on their breakfast menu, but other than that I like how they are open late and offer a wide variety of dishes. Good coffee as well.

Yummo.. what a beautiful lace to stop have a chat and also an overdose of sugar. Just what the body needed today. Happy staff delighted to help and help you choose either via the IPads or they take an order. It’s a definite return for us

I liked the look of the place. As I went in there was a stack of pre-made waffles. Ordered the waffle with dark chocolate sauce which was ok but am disappointed at $9 each it's just a reheated waffle. The place was empty when we went in, when it's not busy, would really like to see it freshly made. I believe Gelare still does theirs fresh...come to think of it this is a first time I've had reheated waffle! I would prefer waiting extra 5-10min for a fresh one.

First time at Pitcher and Iron on Sunday and loved it!
As two Belgians living in Subi, we had to try this and it did not disappoint at all.
The owners clearly put a lot of hard work and love into this concept. We spoke to Chen and Collin and could feel their passion for the waffles.
Liege waffles are unique because of the pearl sugar and it's a real treat to be able to find these in Subi now. We had The Belgian and the Apple Crumble and both were wonderful. The waffles had a perfect consistency and all toppings (including real Belgian chocolate and speculaas!) were fresh and delicious.
In Belgium, we would most of the time eat Liege waffles without any toppings (similar to The Iron on the menu) but this worked really well.
We'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.
Belgian waffles approved by Belgians :-)
