Review Honey Beanz - Subiaco

One of our riding group’s favourite coffee ☕️ stops. Great coffee (regularly introducing new varieties) and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Nice get to pick out your own beans which is cool. Coffee had different taste but nice. It was takeaway service only couldn’t sit anywhere.

Ordered a matcha latte. It’s a bit too waterway for me but the taste was fine. They offer specialised coffee beans...would give it a try next time. The location is quiet and comfortable ~

Very nice cafe! They also make lunch and dinner. The menu has a lot of asian options. They also make a lot of different drinks that I haven't had a chance to try. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic coffee, and their baked bean, mustard and cheese toasties are a getting me through my pregnancy 💛

This place makes the best coffee. Not only do you have your choice of beans and roasts, but also options for individualising your coffee. With every visit the consistency is always there.

Coffee was great, well priced overall. Wasn't any butter for the toast or salt for the eggs, which seems like basic stuff. Overall nice spot, but room for improvement.

My favourite place for coffee. There's a great variety of high quality beans to choose from and it's consistently good. I've never had a bad cup. Highly recommended. However I wouldn't come here for food or desserts as there isn't much on offer.

Food were tasty. Loved both the smashed avo and smoothie bowl. Only criticism is that the smoothie bowl I rather small...

Only come here for coffee so far but the girls behind the counter are so nice and cheerful early in the morning. Their breakfasts look great so definitely want to try out if I get the chance. I love the designs on the cups, plus their loyalty card is a good reason to come back!

Love this place! Fantastic brekky and great coffee. Owners are lovely people too. Recommend trying the rendang for lunch, or the el habibi for breakfast.

We've driven past so many times and seeing it had a sign it serves Antz Inya Pantz coffee, we gave it a go. It was pretty empty on a Saturday morning and on entry we saw a lady leave behind pretty much most of her breakfast...As I approached the counter the Asian guy there saw me but did not acknowledge me for some time before taking my order. Totally different when a regular customer walked in later. Coffee wise, not the worst but not as good as Vic Park. Not likely to come back.

Great breakfast this morning with a big! Coffee. Good spot out of the way but still close to the centre of Subi.
We will be back for breakfast again.

I had the breakfast ramen and was kinda disappointed - didn’t really taste like ramen and was just kind of mediocre. Friendly service and a cute cafe though :).

My oh my I do love me some comfort food! The first time we visited we ordered the bimbimbap burger with sweet potato chips. The chips were slightly over and the owner came out and apologised with a fresh batch on the house! We also sampled some of their delicious gelato made in house. For some reason we had completely forgot how amazing the food was until our second visit. I ordered the pork skepasti - a modern twist of a gyro with pork belly and piles and piles of crispy seasoned wedges, and if that wasn't enough we were offered another delicious sample of gelato to finish off our meals! The staff are super friendly and the owners are very passionate about their food. You'll be impressed with their coffee and latte options, and we definitely won't forget about this place anytime soon!

After seeing food photos of this place plastered everywhere on social media, I had some time to finally check this place out myself (and take my own photos to put onto Insta). I visited this cafe about 2-3 months ago with a friend to celebrate the fact that we had both just finished building our own house #livingthedream. Honey Beanz is a little cafe that’s tucked away amongst the apartment buildings. I immediately knew what I was going to order before even looking at the menu – their famous bim bim bap burger and iced honey matcha float.

I tried their special of the month - Spicy Guy Tan Don. It's nice they ask how spicy I want it to be done. I love eating everything with chilli so I wanted it to be super SPICY. Woo, it was so nice and so spicy. The beef tongue is really tasty and very good texture; very pretty!

I liked the bim bim bap burger. The sweet potato chips though, they were a little tough.
The teh tarik was too sweet.

Good experience overall, but nothing special.

Having a really busy week; need something different to chill out. So I went to Honey Beanz with my work-mate today for lunch. Through other people's recommendation, I tried this black bun burger - Bim Bim Bap Burger. Luckily someone just ordered a burger before me, and it looks great and huge, so I requested to have it shared with my mate. The burger is so tasty, and juicy; a bit spicy for me but I can take it. The burger is just a perfect match with sweet potato fries; good colours too. So good, so worthy.

Just found out they have grilled beef tongue. Nice work! Will definitely try it next time; the dinner menu looks nice too.

I went to try this cafe yesterday night. I ordered the Bim bim bap burger (it IS pricey for a burger) and I couldn't be more disappointed.

The bun was super soggy, too much sauce, it dripped all over the base of the bun. And the sauce was salty.
The sweet potato fries was OK, some of the bigger cuts were undercooked, it was still very tough.

Overall, not a very pleasant experience.

Loved my Bim Bim Bap Burger. Pricey for a burger although it is different to the usual burger. Really enjoyed the Honey Matcha Latte too. A place we could definitely return to.

Also, got to be the guinea pigs and taste test their affogato. It was good! Enjoyed that just as much.

TLDR: Good food and good service. Interesting and unique items on the menu that includes standard cafe fare.

FOOD: We had the scones + tea combo. For $7 you get two scones and a pot of tea, which is quite reasonable. Scones were tasty, with nice crunchy exteriors and soft inner bits. Cream and jam were also delicious. They offer T2 teas, which is great.

SERVICE: Service was good, no complaints at all.

Trailblazers!
1 Great consistent coffee.
2 Price is great. Good value.
3 good range of food.

Personality- to stand out from the crowd, the muffins and breads (banana) could be made in-house🤔

Good luck and well done on opening first.

Went to Honey Beanz today with my boy friend. Nice place to hang out. They offered us free soft gelato to try initially since we are not sure what a float is. It was nice to eat, and I love the flavor. I ordered sweet corn zucchini fritters and my BF ordered the Bim Bim Bap Burger. I loved the fritters so much, and the sweet potato chips. Surely will go back!

Wow! Followed the Urban List, I decided to try this Bim Bim Bap Burger. Man, it is awesome! It is so nice, I even forgot to take a photo. And the ice cream, perfect for this weather.

One of the best places to buy coffees in Subiaco! I live and work in Subiaco for many years. So glad to have Honey Beanz close to me. Very good food and services too!

It's my first time at Honey Beanz today with one of my friends. Tried their sweet corn zucchini fritters, so nice! The staff was really friendly, and they offered me a free honey-gato; the ice cream was so creamy. Definitely will go back to try other food on the menu.

I've been to HB twice. First time with a friend and second time I dragged Hubby on weekend coz I really want him to try the amazing Bimbimbap Burger. I couldnt find any flaw from this dish. Love the black charcoal bun, followed by tasty flavoursome beef patty, vegs, egg and spicy red pepper sauce. It's so my kind of dish. Sweet Potato Fries was good but a tad too salty, not a biggie at all. Definitely a 10/10 dish.

My friend tried special summer dish called Mamma Mia which was fried chicken comes with gazpacho. Serving was way too generous! She couldnt even eat half of the gazpacho. Fried chicken was cooked really well. Crispy yet still juicy. Gazpacho might be too spicy for some people though. It's a 8/10 dish for me.

I also tried the Sweetcorn & Zucchini Fritters dish. Again, big portion given. I'm so gonna be fat! Lol. I think zucchinis were sliced too thin. But the flavours were there. Avocado & Coriander Salsa was a good companion to the fritters. Another 8/10 dish.

Honey Beanz' Matcha drinks were using unsweetened matcha powder. They added honey to enhance flavour instead of sugar, nice and healthy! Once we had Matchamisu. It's huge!!! U can share it between 2-3 people.

Although I'm not a big fan of Antz coffee, it's still enjoyable to drink. Ice Mocha was good.

Another specialty from HB is their honey soft serve gelato. It's so refreshing especially for a scorching hot day. My daughter loved it so much.

Simple, bright and clean interior, good spot to hang out with friends.

Head Chef (also owner) Kharisma is very passionate in what she's doing. She loves cooking and make people happy by eating her food. She's also super friendly, extremely nice towards my daughter. When she's not busy, she'd greet customers and chat for a bit. Her Hubby and staff were also great and accomodating.

I cant wait to go back again for their BBB Burger and looking forward to try new dishes coming out (hopefully soon). Keep it up folks! See you guys soon.

Excellent coffee and breakfast. Menu is interesting and a bit different. The ricotta and pumpkin pancakes, with bacon and maple syrup, highly recommended. The bim bim bap burger and the zucchini & sweetcorn fritters were also very good. We tried the home-made ice cream (vanilla & honey), which was also delicious - and then we were offered pear and spiced bitters on the house! This cafe is located a little off the beaten track but it is well worth making the effort to find it; it is less than 500m from the station.

Mr. T and I have just wrapped our very enjoyable staycation. To finish it off, we decided to do some grocery shopping to prepare for the busy week ahead. Following my master plan, I persuaded Mr. T to shop in Subiaco, so we can take a short detour to Honey Beanz!. Honey Beanz is an adorable cafe located on Hood Street in Subiaco. When we arrived it was filled with office workers waiting for their coffee fix, but we got a table straight away. As soon as we sat down and looked through the menu, their bibimbap burger caught my eye, especially since it comes with a side of sweet potato fries, so that's what I ordered!
