Review Tickle My Bean - Subiaco

Went to this little place after seeing the banh mi pic above. Got the grilled chicken. Herb, salad amount was good but a tiny bit too little meat. The roll was disappointingly not crunchy & a little chewy to eat. Overall tasty but only a 7/10. Would go back tho.

I work close to 'The Tiny Saigon', and there are other Vietnamese restaurants in Subiaco for sure, but nothing comes close to the consistency, amazing customer service, freshness and dish flexibility as 'The Tiny Saigon'. They get to know every customer and super friendly and welcoming. They're our whole office, 'go to place' for our lunches! Shout out to the head chef! You're amazing! 😍

I've been going to Tickle My Bean for years now, and I absolutely love them! Great food, especially the various toasted turkish rolls. The best staff and customer service I have ever experienced, especially first thing in the morning! Highly recommend popping in and treating yourself!

They're friendly, remember my name, remember what I order, and consistently prepare great tasting stuff, fast. If that's not what you want in a coffee shop I'm not sure what is.

Lovely staff, treated me very well. My warm mocha was perfect not too hot, not too cold, it was just right. Now I am just sitting waiting for my caffeine withdrawal symptoms to subside.

Ok, being from Sydney and working as a Barista myself at a cafe there I often find myself very critical of cafes and what I expect from them. And I was so happy to discover that this cafe has gone above and beyond every time. I visit Perth frequently enough and always make time to come grab a coffee and some lunch from Tickle My Bean! The staff there are exceptionally friendly and happy. Never have I received a coffee without a smile and an ask how my day is going. The owner is a lovely lady and the hilarious banter between her and the staff always makes me laugh!! I highly recommend this cafe and urge anyone to visit them. Food is well priced and always tastes great. Comparing the prices to Sydney cafes they are very good (but let's be honest, everything is Sydney is expensive). Amazing 10/10!!!

Love this place. The coffee is the best around and fantastic value for the Subiaco area. Service is always friendly whether you get there at 630am or near the end of the day. Food options are great for both Brekky and lunch and again, great value compared to other local food outlets. Would recommend this as an awesome meeting point in for Subiaco on weekdays

Best coffee quality food and service in subiaco if not perth. The owner and staff clearly know how to take care of their customers. I will be back again and again. I am sure many others will be too

I have worked in Subiaco for many many years and have purchased from this cafe a handful of times, but was really taken back by the customer service received yesterday at 1 pm during lunch time peak hour. Not only are they short staffed but they are cheeky rude on top of taking your money when they are supposed to be thanking you for your purchase. Food is over priced - $7 for yoghurt and fruit salad in a small container. I am not going back here for anything at all moving forward. <br/>Dont work in a field if you dont love what you do, or at least mask the dissatisfaction on your face

Great place! The staff are always friendly<br/>And very genuine! I eat there all the time and have not been disappointed yet! Seriously great coffee, seriously good hot food in winter too! I had a pulled pork burger the other day and was very impressed!

Fake friendly. 'Fake friendly' staff. Stale Bagel. Something not right with the mix of ingredients in their rolls.... & the name of the shop is highly inappropriate.

Used to be great... gone downhill. The coffee here is still good, but I popped in the other week for a coffee and toasted sandwich special...well it was special allright. The sandwich had obviously been made some time before and microwaved. Hard, crunchy bread... ugh.<br/><br/>I'm okay at making sandwiches. When you run a business selling sandwiches, at Subiaco prices, I expect you should be able to meet or exceed my ability to make a sandwich. I seem to be able to manage it without using a microwave. <br/><br/>When will these business owners learn that microwaves ruin good meals? We expect fresh food. Not nuked food.

Spearmint Thick Shake. These guys make a very mean spearmint thick shake. Keep up the good work.<br/><br/>Cant get past spearmint to try the other flavours

Warm and Friendly. Such a great place to grab an excellent cup of coffee and something tasty to eat. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great. If you have the time to dine in with your coffee the latte art is amazing. One of my favourite places to go.

Best Kept Secret..... I am a regular customer at TMB and just popped in today to grab the 'usual' and noticed the AMAZING new renovations that just seemed to happen over night! The place, food, coffee, service and vibe here is wonderful and always gives me something to look forward to during the working week. The new owners have done a fabulous job turning this place around- A very bug thumbs up!

It will be nice to no longer have to put up with the constantly moody previous female owner who always rolled her eyes & made customers feel like they were causing her grief, food that was average & ridiculous prices - especially the slices & muffins. <br/>Good luck for the new people - we might start going back there now!

While the name may deceive the coffee is legit. To the brunette behind the counter, you can smile every once in a while. You make it seem like a chore taking my $5 every morning.

Great coffee, awesome bacon and egg toastie!

Great Coffee. I drink here almost every day. The coffee is consistently great, and if your a regular visitor, they make a point to remember your name and what you drink. The service is friendly and efficient.

Good coffee. The coffee here is always superb and made with genuine craft and skill but I have to agree with a number of the other reviews in that some times it is like the lady owner really doesn't seem to appreciate the business and whats more she is so pleasant one day and so sour the next. It is off putting and if I wasnt a local I woudn't be back.

Personalised service. I get my morning coffee here almost every morning and I'm always welcomed by name. They're always busy which may be the cause of the perceived abrupt service but I've never had a bad experience and the coffee is great.

Coffee cyclist. Excellent coffee! Great taste, a little froth, and no sour taste left afterwards in your mouth. Prompt and friendly service. Will always drop in as I ride past Subiaco...

Coffee made with love. Now I'm no expert when it comes to coffee but being a cyclist I've tried alot of coffee around Perth and I must say Michael serves one of the nicest, most consistent flat whites I have tried to date. If you are in Subiaco during office hours Monday-Friday pop in, you will seriously not regret the visit. Ciao

Poor Customer Service. The food here is good for a quick lunch and always tasty but the customer service here is severely lacking. The woman owner is consistently rude to her customers and I have experienced it myself on a number of occasions. <br/><br/>I still go back here because the food is good but unless the customer service picks up I will be going elsewhere! The male owner however is always friendly and approachable.
