Review J'aime Patisserie Cafe - Subiaco

This was absolutely disgusting. I bought one mushroom and beef pie expecting it to be made at least on the same day. However, I took one bite of this ‘pie’ and the meat and ‘gravy’ were extremely mushy and stale as anything. It tasted absolutely vile and I still have the taste in my mouth as I write this. Literally threw it in the bin after the one bite. Avoid.

Best cakes here, with tasting available. Try everything. Individual cakes in a variety of flavours, with many on a permanent basis and some introduced randomly. Pies are good, but very soft pastry rather than thick flaky pastry. Fantastic customer service.

Sad brown sludge for meat pie filling, pastry doughy and bland. For $5.50 I'm not expecting much, but at least it should be better than a reheated frozen pie...

Paid $28 for a bowl of dumpling soup (bland tasteless packet dumplings in (beef?) soup with a bit of egg mixed through and a teaspoon of spring onions on top...and a “lunchbox” of weird fried rice with peas/corn/carrot cubes like the frozen mix with cooked lettuce and 2 soggy springrolls...choc milkshake & latte...we couldn’t eat it at all...maybe they’re just opened or something but this was so expensive for an inedible meal on a wobbly table in a noisy walkway. The cakes come from somewhere else I think but the in-house food we tried was yuck...sorry!

Excellent food and service and good value for money. Cheap breakfast and lunches. Vietnamese pork rolls especially nice.

Beautiful service with a genuine passion for their sweet delights. The macarons are delicious with sumptuous fillings & delicate melt in the mouth subtle crunch. Almost next door to the Lion & Jaguar coffee shop & they also have some super party cakes

This is quite something this little spot. Little works of art that melt in your mouth. Too good. I like the strange little green cake best.

I stopped by for a quick breakfast on the go. I’m a little too eager first thing in the morning for the dessert cabinet isn’t fully stocked and I decide I need something less sweet for breakfast. Examining the quiches and pies, the chicken and mushroom quiche fitted the bill. Nicely warmed, gooey cheese, soft mushroom and tender chicken, this was just what I needed.

After my client meeting I had to make a return stop for morning tea before heading back to the city. Plenty to enjoy, I selected several eclairs, petit fours, and some macaroons. I like the choux pastry of the eclairs, particularly the coffee and chocolate varieties. And those macarrons are so yum!

If you’re at the Subiaco train station or at Woolworths popping in for shopping at the Subiaco Square, you have no excuse not to indulge in the delicious pastry items both sweet and savoury.

Have been trying to try the mousse cakes here for ages. Unfortunately I was too early and the offerings were limited to homemade pies, sandwiches, wraps etc. Food is fresh, service friendly and prices very reasonable.

Visited for brunch on a Wednesday morning around 10:30am.

I had one of their many specials - bacon + egg + coffee which was only $8.50!

The bacon, egg and toast was well presented and the coffee was tasty.

The slice of Swiss Roll was really good and was only $2.50.

The customer service from the lady was excellent!

I definitely recommend this cafe!

ho..ho I found this fantastic dessert place
In the heart of Subiaco. This place is popular with their mousse.
I had orange blood...superlicious. Love the way they made it. Love the sourness of the orange mousse..definitely you need to order this one😍
But beware of the price..$10.90😔
We also tried mango mousse- for me it's too sweet...
Overall i still will come back again..but won't be too soon..because of the price😁😁

Bought pandan and banana chocolate mousse cakes from here, and they are really delicious and amazing!! I must say this is one of the best mousse cakes around Perth

Best mousse cakes around! They come in different flavours! I think my favourite is still the Durian flavour, but be warned, it's not for the faint hearted. If you are less adventurous, you may like to stick to Pandan, Orange, or even the Chocolate flavours. They are so pretty!

Great little caf. I stumbled upon this gem one day when intending to go for morning coffee at café café just around the corner and have not gone back since! Excellent coffee at a more than reasonable price (cheaper than most places in Subiaco starting at $3.5 for a small), very friendly staff and good fresh food which is also very well priced: the meat pies are the best I have had for a long time!

OMG, I have never tasted anything like the Durian Mousse cakes. Incredible!!!!

One of the top places for Vietnamese rolls in Perth. One of my two favourite places for Vietnamese rolls. Admittedly, I haven't ventured out side of Perth CBD much in search for these, but this place has the best ones so far.

Gluten free. Being a Coeliac I`m so fed up with orange almond cake. Wouldn`t you be after 10 years. My husband brought me a blueberry cake home from J`Ame patisserie. It was delicious. Last week we went to the café where I tried the blood orange and passonnfruit cake which was also yum..

TO ALL COELIACS GO AND TRY They have more varieties too.

Beautifully presented cakes, absolutely delicious. The blood orange and passion fruit cake was light and refreshing. Service was very friendly and we were given taste test to help decide. Will definitely be going back.

No artificial ingredients. absolutely love their cakes!

Great coffee and Service. Impressed with this little shop. Pies with real meat in them, pastry to die for, and coffee at the right temp and not burnt!
Gluten free cakes that look and tast amazing!

Yummy. I haven't seen or tasted such pretty, well-presented treats since visiting Adriano Zumbo's in Sydney. Polite, friendly staff offered an unasked-for tasting of the choc-banana, passionfruit and (something else that was yummy) dessert treats. We went away with the blueberry and a blueberry macaroon. Great packaging for take-aways too.

The mousse cakes were tasty as were the macarons. However the young French (I think) girl behind the counter could learn a few things about customer service. She was very rude.

The cakes window looked amazing! They gave us lots of samples to help us decide which cake to have. I had the durian cake and it tasted great. The coffee was delicious as well :)

If you love dessert.... ...you must try the mousse cakes at J'Aime Patisserie Cafe, they are so perfectly executed and the flavours are divine!!

Best cake shop in perth! The flavour pairings are spot on and textures amazing! Love the coconut, chocolate and banana and blood orange ones. So glad something so delightfully wonderful can be found in Subi!

Gluten Free Dessert Dream. The window display here is so eye-catching. I was not intending to make a purchase, but couldn't resist the free taste testing on offer. One sample and I was hooked! Delicious mousse in a range of tantalising flavours. I tried the "kirsch hazelnut"; "raspberry" and "chocolate banana" in store, then took a "blood orange passionfruit" and "blueberry" to go. All were terrific and a lovely texture. Take my word for how good these are. I am hard to please in the dessert department and absolutely loved what J'Aime Patisserie served up.

Very gorgeous cakes and yummy but the lady was a bit impatient and impolite.
Foodology
Had a sausage roll there $4.5 abit pricey but worth the money. Really tasty rich pastry and the filling was moist and flavoursome. While they were heating my roll, the lady gave me free tastings of the macaroons, mouse and cake. All tasted yummy and fresh
Pris
Very promising.... The array of cakes on display is definitely a crowd stopper. They look amazing and I managed to taste test some on display. I finally bought a Durian Mousse (taste exactly like the exotic fruit) after trying the mango mousse (yum) , durian and coconut (not bad) and mango macaron. Lovely addition to subiaco station, can't wait to try the rest on display.

They cater custom cakes too. Hope they set up a good website for orders and promote it appropriately - cant find anything online about them at the moment.

Delicious and gorgeous cakes and great service. Spring rolls are very tasty too.
