It was such a pleasure staying in ward 53 for the birth of my first (and probably only) baby. The nurses/midwives were almost exclusively AMAZING - with so many patients, I have no idea how they are able to offer such great care to everyone all at once, patiently teach new mum's how to breast feed or use a pump, etc etc. The food was great overall - wayyy better than one might expect when they think of "hospital food". The cleaning staff are sweet and great at their job. Plus the view from my room was INCREDIBLE. Thanks so much to everyone who helped take care of me during my stay.

My week-long stay in Ward 71 at SJOG Subiaco was a wonderful experience, almost beyond belief for a hospital, and made recovering from a broken bone in my pelvis so much more pleasant as I wasn't in a rush to go home. All the nursing staff (too many to name) looking after me were just fantastic - happy, smiling, pleasant, knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for me, even when I was calling for painkillers, water or an extra blanket at 2 or 3am. The level of care and professionalism, not to mention compassion, was outstanding! After being admitted to a shared room for the first night, I was moved to a private room as soon as one became available, at a staff member's suggestion. That made my stay even more enjoyable as I had not only more privacy and my own ensuite, but a view north across the rooftops to Lake Monger in the distance. My room was spotless, well equipped with a very comfortable bed with electric head and foot end lift which was fantastic as I could not sit up unassisted for the first five days of my stay. One of the drawers in the bedside cabinet had a keypad on it, so was lockable to secure personal valuables. Having previously had money stolen from my purse when I was admitted to another hospital (not SJOG) where I couldn't lock valuables away, it was pleasing to see that this security aspect had been thought through. The private ensuite was wonderful with a chair in the shower which made things much easier as I couldn't stand without crutches. There were plenty of towels which were changed daily and limitless hot water. The handrails for people like me with injuries were in just the right place and there were several of them. Even little complimentary botles of shampoo and conditioner were provided, just like a hotel! The food deserves special mention. I don't know who is in charge of the ktchen, but I see a Michelin star headed their way! Atlantic salmon, stuffed vine leaves and feta cheese salad, mushroom crepe, turkey with cranberry sauce, salmon patties, honey soy chicken, baked fish in parmesan crumbs, roast chicken, vegetable lasagna, to say nothing of beautiful scrambled egg each morning as well as my favourite stewed prunes... I could go on and on. The quality of meals in SJOG Subiaco would put most restaurants in Perth to shame! Coffee and tea was served morning and afternoon by the kindest and most delightful staff who always had a smile on their faces and were only too happy to stop for a chat. The support staff I saw were great too - Beth, the lovely and very patient physio, who taught me to walk up and down stairs on crutches using a clever mantra so that I got the order of legs and crutch right as well as the occupational therapist who discussed possible workarounds at home to make life easier while my injury healed. I even had a call from the social worker once I'd been discharged and was at home to arrange a home care package for me. So all in all, a fantastic experience and I almost didn't want to leave! If I ever doubted the reason why I pay my private hospital cover every year, this stay vindicated my decision to keep doing so. It's worth every cent when one gets care like I had in a first-class facility where everything far surpasses expectations.

I just had surgery at SJOG Subiaco and the before and after care was exceptional. All the staff that I had contact with were all warm and welcoming. The care that the nurses gave on ward 62 was outstanding. It's an absolute credit to the hospital for having such wonderful staff.

Wanting to say thankyou to the hospitality and looking after me non-stop day and night & also to the nurses. Personally some of the nurses on my first night I noticed some of the nurses had a blunt face and sometimes when I spoke to them they just seemed to want to get in-out of the room. I just went quiet and just let them do their job so I didn't have to interfere while they were doing their job. I understand the nurses are flat out non stop working and are working with a lot more patients, but overall they were nice at the same time and walked me through all of the medication that I had to take after my vascular surgery. I want to give props to Leah as she was just overall great experience to talk to and keep me comfortable while being flat out with other patients. I also liked the food that they were serving out credit to the cook, I was almost wanting to go for seconds if I am going to be honest. Just wanting to say another big thankyou to everyone in SJOG Subiaco in ward 44 R11. The nurses deserve all the credit they deserve for the hard work that they put in day & night.

As a repeat guest at SJOG since 2019 (major surgery, and numerous pain management SSU admissions, I'd like to give a huge shout-out to all the nursing and admin staff I've come to know. Today's procedure was when I witnessed the friendliness, hard work and professionalism DESPITE today's largest number of new Covid cases in WA so far, and the knock-on effect of staff shortages. I'm fairly certain they had many off unwell/close contacts, but I was greeted warmly, never rushed, shown kindness and noticed the usual attention to detail. Even the young man doing concierge at the main entrance remained calm and courteous in the face of cranky visitors upset about the (bleeding obvious) mandated and necessary masks/sign-in/vax checks. But for this visit, in rough order, may I please compliment the amazing SSU staff Belinda, Darrell, Danica, Ollie, Beryl, my delightful young recovery nurse whose name escapes me (because sedation. Sorry), plus DOSA nurse Ruth and the wonderful orderly who wheeled me up. All showed such cheery optimism and gave caring support, under duress!! Another brilliant experience at SJOG Subi. Thank you for everything, please ensure they all get this memo!

I had my baby delivered here. The nurses and midwives are really helpful and patient. During my labour, the midwives were extremely patient and had given me a lot of support. The food was AMAZING in the ward. They even prepared candlelight dinner for the new parents :)
