Review Lukumades - Subiaco

Adrian M
Greek doughnut shop selling light round balls covered with various toppings and sauces from more traditional honey and cinnamon to chocolate and nut, then even some vegan selections. The combinations let you choose how light or how heavy you like your doughnut dessert. Also on offer are gelato and coffees, including Greek coffees which are definitely worth a try. Service here is also excellent, staff are friendly and very approachable.

Nice atmosphere and good customer service! The store is very small with very limited inside seating. There are a few outdoor seats. The donuts were made fresh and came out steaming hot! The menu is simple and very legible. The base price for 8-10 donuts is $10 and is a good treat to share between two people (or just have one for yourself, it's so good I wouldn't blame you!). Really impressed with this place!

I have been putting off trying this place cause I'm not into rich desserts. But WOW! The sauces look over the top but it really isn't. This Twix combo was so balanced from taste to textures.

It’s such a lovely cute cafe, it’s fascinating to watch how they made the fresh donuts. Very cute little balls been squeezed out into the oil. The staff are so busy with all the process to ensure the freshness of the donuts will be handed to us. I absolutely love and appreciate their efforts. Have to visit more often! :-)

Loved it, so delightfully good, the doughnuts were warm and fresh, light and fluffy.

Came on a Thursday night, it was actually quite busy and alot of Uber eats takeaway from this place. I ordered the dark chocolate drizzle with pistachio and hazelnut gelato which is yum! they give 9 donuts and if you are lucky you will get the fresh batch of donuts which is crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside!

Went there after a friend's recommendation and absolutely loved it. We ordered 'snickers' to share and two coffees and paid $20 altogether. The doughnuts were absolutely succulent, they melt in your mouth - YUM! And coffe tasted and looked great as well. Will definitely return again.

Amazing Greek Donuts! Taste just like the ones you buy in Greece & Cyprus. Highly recommend this place I’ve been many times, so much easier than having to make at home :P

We came at the right time, just after 1pm, when it’s still quiet and no queue, and new batch of doughnuts had just finished (still hot!). We tried Matcha Balls, Dark Delights and Nutella Classic. I liked the texture of the doughnuts, it’s chewy and light. The adults loved Dark Delights coz it’s not too sweet. Matcha Balls was surprisingly not overly sweet too, pretty good. We ordered Nutella Classic merely for kiddos. It’s too sweet for us (adults). Venue isnt too big and only got few tables inside and outside. Tables are quite small, chairs are heavy. Lucky we didnt come during peak hours, it’d be uncomfortable. Would come back when craving for doughnuts hits.

Great little find. But be prepared to wait because they make the doughnuts fresh by order. Toppings were great and yum, but they're not cheap for $10 per serving

Seriously, I need to stop spending my time on Instagram. Found this place on Insta and ppl raved about this place waiting in line to eat whatever this is. Such a big regret that I actually went and checked this place out - it’s just fried dough with sauce on top, overpriced. Ppl, please save your money and just go to a local cafe around the corner and eat your favourite cake. Don’t spend your money on this crap.

Popped in one early evening. All tables inside were taken and we managed to get an outside table. I was horrified to see a couple and a child, sitting with a dog at the table on the woman’s lap inside! That is a big no no in the food service industry. They were there when we got there and still there half an hour later when we left yuck :0(<br/>Doughnuts were great though and staff very friendly so will definitely be back just leave the designer puppies at home or sit outside!!

Heard so much about this place and was so excited to come and try out their donuts when it first opened. We came here after dinner and this place was totally packed. There are very limited seats inside and outside. <br/>The donut balls here were very chewy. Personally , it didn’t suit my taste at all. Normally I’m a big fan of dessert and we couldn’t even finished half of what we ordered. Service was friendly. <br/>Overall, I’m glad to try out the Greek donuts even though I didn’t really enjoy it.

I was so excited to try these donuts but was a little disappointed. The texture was kinda springy and rubbery and very hard to eat. I’ve never had Greek donuts before so unsure if they were meant to be like that. It was busy on Saturday night but they got through all the orders fairly quick! Cool place inside and out even though it was cold it was nice outside with the heaters going!

Upon initial bite these are like light crispy little clouds of heaven. Then you get to the middle and there is a complete textural tranformation and suddenly you have this slightly chewy, warm donut ball covered in chocolate and youre reminded of the gluttony but theyre so good you dont even care.<br/>My only critisism is that seating is very limited.<br/>10/10. Would go again.

I had the dark delight and love it 🥰 melted chocolate on warm donut holes with sprinkled pistachio and gelato 👌🏻 so good! There’s not much seating so get in early to avoid crowds 😄

Loved it! We tried the cookies & cream and the matcha, absolutely delicious. I really liked how its crunchy outside and really soft inside. The gelato and oreo glaze, especially the matcha glaze 😍, went really well with the doughnuts. For just about $10 per pack of mini doughnuts i think its great value for money. We went on a Friday night and it was packed inside but there’s an outdoor area too which was less crowded. Id come back here for desserts anytime. 💕

Delicious doughnuts. But be warned. It can be cramped and busy inside. Needs more seating space. And when they are trying to service UberEats at the same time, your quick doughnut fix may not be so quick. At least they’re always fresh out of the fryer, warm and sticky.<br/><br/>Plenty of options. Chocolate, milk and dark. Nuts. Biscuit. And choice of gelato. Small coffee stand in the corner. A great late night or winter meal.
