Homestyle authentic Vietnamese pretty at very reasonable prices! Tastes just like a trip to Vietnam . And where else I'm Sunbury are you gonna find bubble tea ?! Just delicious.
If you're looking for the best Vietnamese pho, look no further - Jimmy and Duyen's pho is the best. Not surprising when the pho stock takes hours and hours of preparation. Also on par is their spring rolls and the mixed grill. We have these 3 dishes at every visit!

My score 4 stars. J & I lived at Riddells Creek for 9 years until Oct last year & got takeaway or had an eat-in lunch at SHF quite regularly. Not the flashest interior (but there is outside seating - nice on a good day) & to be honest, all we cared about was the fact we had nice/good value Vietnamese food in nearby Sunbury! The female manager was always polite & very helpful (you get free Tea if you dine in). Our TA was always Prawn or Tofu rice paper rolls - made up fresh on the spot & with a yummy dipping sauce (the tofu ones were particularly good). Our dine-in consisted of each of us having a Vermicelli salad w Tofu & Spring rolls - it stacked up pretty well to ones from Footscray cafés > not as many fresh herbs (but still plenty), REALLY good fried tofu strips, nice spring rolls & plenty of salad - their standard dressing was a soy based one, but we would ask for nuoc cham & it was very good. They also do a special chunky spring roll, which looks very similar to Sapa Hills Hanoi-style ones. From what we experienced, I can't understand why the overall rating is so low (see all the other ACTUAL reviews too). When SHF first opened there was some consternation from some competing restaurants & the initial silent votes really dragged the average down - just saying...
Really cute place to buy food from! I've had smoothies and food from here and everything has been fresh and full of flavour! I can't wait to return for more!
Saigon HF is a regular lunch venue for our business! We order over the phone and take it back! Times are great! Pho, rice dishes and noodle dishes are scrumptious! All made to order. All fresh! Best thing to hit Sunbury! Lovely staff.

I first visited when Sai Gon Hot Food opened. The lovely young lady who runs this business with her husband bent over backwards to make sure everyone was tended to. Super friendly and keen to please all. I left one of their first Facebook reviews actually, about the crispy pork belly roll - omg!I have been back a few times but not as much as I would like - work gets in the way. Place is spotlessly clean & most (if not all) food is made fresh on order. Recently came in for some of the Saigon special spring rolls - had them before - so yum! - try them.Also ordered the Chicken Pho - Flavourful and hit the spot being that I was unwell. As a westerner I would say that it was quite peppery & the Viet mint was strong. If you could leave the mint on a side plate & pepper to customer that would be great. The chicken was perfectly poached & the Pho was the biggest bowl I'd ever seen. I still loved it.Lastly, I ordered some pork rice paper rolls to take away - As a lover of Vietnamese food, these are the BEST rice paper rolls I have ever had. Freshly made, super yummy sauce & spot on amount of coriander.. I will be back here often - delicious fresh food, so friendly, clean & right price.
I ate in at Sai Gon Hot Food last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the BBQ Pork on rice and loved it while my partner ordered the combination grilled pork, chicken and prawns with vermicelli and it was also great. We also had the Sai Gon special spring rolls as an entree and they were so delicious and crispy! It was a comfortable place to dine with great friendly service and fantastic value for money! Overall a great experience and I'll definitely return.
I absolutely love this restaurant found it by accident and have now visited weekly with my wife service has been impeccable each visit. The owners go out of their way to please even offered to help me import a painting i liked on the wall a great meal for 10 bucks healthy and clean only found this review service as i was looking for a menu online couldn't resist giving them a pat on the back will put money in their till in around 15 mins
This is a fantastic new addition to Sunbury, and so very welcome. I popped in for lunch today with the wife and ordered the Roast Pork Buns with Chilli, the Sai Gon special Spring rolls, with a delicious Mango Smoothie with Purple jelly ball on the bottom. Also a complimentary flask of tea all for $24. As Arnie once said..... I'll be back !
This place is one of my favourite in town. Nice, authentic vietnamese food with warm and cheerful customer services.
I do recommend this place to you if you live locally and after some hot soup. Pho and pork bun are the two best dishes and the must try
