Very Good. Quality seafood restaurant, high quality seafood meals, great customer service with professional friendly staff in a perfect quiet location on the canal.
We ordered the oysters as starter that were very tasty, then grilled snapper & cod mains that were amazing. The cloudy bay Sauvignon Blanc was a good accompaniment to the above. A well prepared delicious cream brûlée desert & port completed a very enjoyable night.
I recommend this restaurant.
Loved it!! Located on the water at Isle of Capri, opposite Edgewater and run by the same people. It is a restaurant and retail outlet for quality seafood.
Be aware the restaurant isn't open Monday or Tuesday and only for lunch on Sundays.
Seating was predominately on the deck. Views of Q1 and the Surfers skyline. A lovely outlook too during the day.
We were warmly greeted on arrival by waiter Eddie, who delivered outstanding service all evening. He was professional, friendly and efficient.
We selected 5 share plates and asked for them to be brought out a couple at a time.
We enjoyed oysters Kilpatrick, Moreton Bay bug tails, chinese style bbq pork Peking pancakes, soft shell crab and chilled prawns tostadas.
All our food was wonderful, with the bug tails being my favourite. Serving size was generous and good value for money.
So many other options on the menu I'm going back to try another time.
Great soft shell crap at a reasonable price, that is a good serving even as a main. Decent atmosphere looking at some dank water. Weird location but the quality of the food was great.
Have a look at the pictures here. Look at them (mainly the first). Who are you to deny yourself such deliciousness? Exactly. The Fish Emporium was all that and a side of sweet potato chips. From the moment my family arrived we were made to feel like VIPs, and get this – the food was even better than the service. We over-ordered, and couldn't have been more happy with the results: coconut crumbed prawns, bugs, pork and shrimp noodle, calamari, sashimi, scallops, salmon belly croquettes. Holy shit. My wife had a red emperor fillet and it was so damn juicy. Perfect flavours, presented with panache, right on the water. Do yourself a favour.
The view is stellar...Oysters, a centrepiece of the menu, are shucked daily, served in sets of 4 ($14 – 16) with wine pairings recommended. Sashimi, share plates of seared Canadian scallops, Coconut prawns, D.I.Y Beef San Choy Bow, Grilled baby octopus and Softshell crab lead us up to the Daily Catch – the best fillets or whole fish from Australia and New Zealand or fresh crustaceans straight from the tank...Fully licensed, The Fish Emporium’s drinks menu is extensive, including some top label champagnes and pinot noir, as well as cocktails and mocktails. There’s no better place to sit with a rosé or cocktail in hand as the sun descends, enjoying the view of city lights reflected off the water. A casual Gold Coast ‘Fish and chips’ experience doesn’t come much better than this!
Quick service, staff is friendly and knowledgable of dishes on menu. Ordering to serving time quick especially when we had 4 hungry kids. Seafood is so fresh, bugs and prawns grillded to tender perfection. We then ordered a salmon meal halfway through our session and was served quickly. Fresh seafood by far the best. At the corner they have a small retail outlet for seafood
Stunning view from my table. Great set-up of the restaurant. Food was good. I had the Barramundi which was fresh. Service was very attentive at all times, waitress was very friendly. Thanks for the dining experience
Excellent whiting, chips, and sweet potato fries! Big serve of ‘fish bites’. Save some cash and get takeaway then eat in the aircon on the tables or take outside and eat watching the boats. Big serves and yummy.
Amazing seafood very fresh and well priced. Some of the best seafood in Australia I have had yet. I really do recommend coming here.

I came here with some friends after jet-skiing, and the battered fish and chips were extremely fresh, reasonably priced and delicious! We also had the seafood chowder and calamari. All dishes had a decent portion. 100% would come back for more
