My first visit to Hard Rock on the Gold Coast and it couldn’t have been better! Our waiter JJ (sorry about spelling �) was absolutely fantastic, he was outgoing and fun. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy and catered for! The food was mouth watering, we didn’t have a single complaint! Whilst I loved the restaurant this is really a massive shout out for JJ, he made the experience awesome and complete with singing!
We are currently staying in Surfers Paradise and decided to visit The Hard Rock Cafe. Our waiter was JJ who was absolutely amazing. The customer service he provided was incredible, so friendly and made us feel comfortable - also recommended delicious food and cocktails. He was running around the whole night doing a fabulous job, looking after different tables but also carrying out that service with every customer. Massive thank you to JJ and the chefs. Bloody amazing service & food.���

There was a slight confusion with which waiter was taking our order so we had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come take our order, the waiter was super apologetic and the manager came over apologised again and gave us drinks on the house! And then when we received our bill he gave us an extra 15% off the total bill. We were more than happy with the apology. Awesome customer service!!

I really liked the place other than they rarely played any hard rock music over the sound system. We sat on the deck with friends and Anna and I had the Cobb Salad. Very nice and I'd go there again in a heartbeat. I'm sure our next trip to Australia will include a few visits to the place.
We come eveytime we visit from Melbourne! And we are always pleased with the food and service! Can’t fault you guys one bit! I’m sure we have been around 8-10 times in 4 years now and will be back next week again! Keep up the good work and great food!
3 of us walked a little disappointed that the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed. We soon forgot all about that as JJ literally ran around to give us amazing service. He clearly enjoys providing outstanding service and pick up on unconscious clues to know when we need more attention for additional drinks. The whole night was fantastic thanks to JJ and Justin (bar manager?) who also went out of his way to be helpful.
Not only will we be returning when we can, but I will be recommending Surfers Hard Rock to everyone coming to Qld. Even the guy in the shop downstairs was super helpful! Well done guys and thanks again JJ!!
Went for dinner Saturday night and experienced some of the best customer service ever by JJ. All night he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! The food and drinks were amazing. JJ is a legend and we cant wait to come back and enjoy the cafe again!!!

2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour what can i say except keep them coming. Kids mac and cheese tasted great he ate it all so must uave been good. We both ordered burgers and yes worth every minute waiting for them. Only 2 hard rocks left in oz so worth the visit. Hot fudge sundae mmmm. Staff efficient and pleasant. Has a lift for prams amazing bonus for us. Nice to see all the famous items around. Will be back for sure on our next visit to surfers paradise.

Pretty good place to be after a long day trip. Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails cant say no to that. Potato skins very nice, fajita was very tasty and the bbq ribs just soso. They do have a very good cocktail list must check it out. Service 10/10 my waiter took care of my table pretty well. Would recommend to friends and family. And defintely coming back for happy hour.

Location: it’s opposite my apartment in Surfers paradise.
HRC: It’s not a place but an emotion where in New Zealand there is no branch/ HRC there. So Sad
Food: being a vegetarian I am more delighted to see vegetarian options in Gold Coast then in NZ. We ordered Springs Rolls, Quinoa Burger and Garlic toast. The Spring rolls were amazing - they were crispy, filled with peas, cabbage and baked not fried with yogurt dipping and coleslaw.
The quinoa burger was served with chips and had a cheese layer between the bread and patty which was quite tasty. The garlic toast was much regular which is preferably called garlic bread.
Drinks: one Ultimate LIIT with one Jack Daniels and Three Budweiser.
Price: total including drinks was approx $100 which was quite reasonable compared to the drinks and food quantity.
Service: it was a pretty average service as they took almost 7 minutes with one reminder to serve the beers.
Also we got one glass as we had purchased LIIT with one complimentary takeaway glass.
We booked ahead and asked if there would be live entertainment and were told there would be. On the night though there was no live entertainment. We waited about 15 minutes and then asked about our table before we were seated. The food though was worth waiting for. Everyone loved their meals of ribs and burgers. Our waitress was from Spain and was extremely friendly. When she found out there was a birthday she organised a free dessert. My favourite burger was the pulled pork. The marinade was great and the coleslaw with fresh apples sliced through it enhanced the flavour. The macaroni cheese with the ribs was one of the best I’ve had
Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. Music is great, the vibe is good. Really flavoursome meals you don’t mind paying a little bit extra, because it’s worth it. Came here on a Friday night, a little loud but honestly worth it the band is incredible. Definitely deserves a 5/5!!
We orderes grilled chicken and tenderloin steak... i love the sauce. I like the texture of the chicken too... good place to visit. Near surfers paradise, easy too find. Oh, and they have a good staf!

We ordered the hickory-smoked trio barbecue combo to share. This was comprised of smoked chicken, pulled pork and smoked pork ribs. Our favourite meat was the pork ribs. The other two options were average. We also ordered two drinks: a pina colada and lemon lime bitters. These were enjoyable.

Loved it here, the service was fantastic! They were so nice and bubbly and on the ball with customers needs, the place is family friendly if you are thinking of taking the kids out.

Been on the Goldie for a while and never been to this place. We arrived and had a great server who helped us up the lift - the restaurant is massive. So many seats and a very open concept.
The outside seats were beautiful as you were looking over all the jacarandas.
The food is dramatically overpriced. Like seriously a meal for two and a child with two cocktails was $150!!
I think $20+ for a cocktail in 2018 is ridiculous. Especially when using standard liquor.

Once we were seated we had our meals quite quickly as well.
Go upstairs for the food & drinks. 2:30pm on a Thursday & it was pretty empty. A very chill vibe & very friendly waiter. Order a cocktail & you get to keep the glass.
Came here again after a few years and is still a great place for a feed and to see the music history. The waitress we had wasn't very helpful compared to the some of the others near us, but the meal was delicious. The Hickory Lamb Ribs were amazing and so was the pulled pork. Would've put a 5 if the service was better.
Great food and service. Our meat was perfectly cooked and the salads were wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible and our whole party enjoyed the experience.
Service was a+, loved the way they engaged the teenage kids. The burgers were easily the best I have ever tasted... Bar none. Only negative was the prices were about 20% above what I thought they would be.
My best part of the visit was when I saw the handwritten list from Eddie Vedder!!
Overall, the food was good, drinks OK and the ambience as expected.
Since live music wasn't there that day, so they had a DJ to compensate it. Unfortunately he wasn't playing anything close to rock music! :(

Lovely Aussie food. The environment was enjoyable. We went during day time and I had a surprise when the restaurant catered for a spontaneous birthday. The staff sung happy birthday in a nice manner and food was delicious
Best mac n cheese ever! It was seriously so delicious, the chicken in it tasted like homemade BBQ! We also had a couple jugs of sangria which was super fresh and quite strong. Great service from Jesse, who was friendly and was good to chat to for local recommendations!
My wife and myself went to the Hard Rock Cafe for her birthday on Thursday night and had the best meal and drinks, the service was great from the time we first arrived to a lovely smile that greeted us at the entry to all the wonderful staff inside the establishment, the environment was clean and entertaining, I would recommend this place to everyone, thank you for a wonderful time and making it a special night t remember for my wife and myself
The cafe occupied two levels, with the reception and the gift shop on the ground floor, and all the interesting activity – eating, drinking and singing – one level higher. The evening was warm so we occupied a table on the open balcony which overlooked the teeming Cavill Avenue, and started that mandatory newcomer’s routine – studying the menu. I always envied people who would come to a drinking hole, snap their fingers and say “Hey, Fred, my usual stuff, please!” No uncomfortable soul-searching and torturous decision-making. Simple. On the other hand, I am not sure that I’d like to have “usual stuff” that I could drink any day of the week. As they say, variety is the spice of life, so I put on an imaginary pince-nez, made a smart face and opened a new page in my cocktail experience.
Had dinner here with some friends on a Thursday night. There was a bit of a wait for a table so we got some drinks at the bar first. Service from the bartender was great - he was very sociable, had a lot of fun and clearly enjoyed his job which was nice to see. Once we were seated our waiter politely turned the heater on for us despite him thinking it was a warm night, so on the whole the service was awesome. I got the twisted mac & cheese which was pretty tasty - also nice to see that some of the price of that dish went towards a charity. Pretty good for a pub meal overall.
5 stars for service!! We initially had to wait for a table I think they had forgotten about us but we were looked after well at the bar and the cocktails were probably the best I've ever tasted. Once they figured out we were still waiting we were attended to very well. Heaters were turned on for us and food came out quickly. Probably have to take a bit off for the flat bread that came out with our spinach and artichoke dip. It seemed a bit stale. My chicken Caesar salad was nice but a little drowned in sauce. However I enjoyed the experience overall.
The best thing I like about Hard Rock Cafe is that the food is always consistent around the world and also the ambience and feeling is always positive. Surfers Paradise outlet is a HR cafe as expected....always special

We had a great meal and a wonderful experience at Hard Rock Cafe in Surfers Paradise. My partner and I started off with the entree nachos with added beef and a side of guacamole that definitely put a dent in our appetites.
The generous serving included beef that was tender and really tasty. The whole plate was just really flavoursome with jalapeños, beans, tomato, chives and melted cheese. We managed to finish most of the nachos and got onto our mains.
We each got the Texan burger and were oh so happy with our choice upon taking our first bite. The slow cooked smokey pulled pork was absolutely delicious and even rivalled Texas barbeque.
The burger was topped off with jalapeños that provided spice to taste without being omg hot, frickles, fried onions that brought a bit of crunch to the burger, and a perfectly soft potato bun. My partner, who also added bacon to his burger reckons it was one of the best burgers he's ever eaten. Some high praise indeed!
The service was brilliant and our server was so patient, attentive, and had no issue explaining the menu to us, which was extremely helpful in our decision making. He came around to our table multiple times asking us if the food was alright and if we needed anything else, which we really appreciated.
We'd recommend Hard Rock to everyone!
They always nail it. We can all sit here and be critical that it is too formulaic and expected. My view is if you do it well continue to do so. Great ingredients lead to great meals? Using the fillet for chicken fajitas rather than all the crap bits leads to a higher quality meal. Love the food, they nail it every single time!!!
Love this place! Atmosphere was great! Service awesome ... Thanks Amy :o) food to die for. I had the New York strip cooked to perfection. Only downside was there was no room for dessert.

I absolutely loved this place our waiter named Jesse took care of us so well I loved the atmosphere of the place and the workers, the cocktails are fairly expensive but it's nice to have one, food was very nice! Chicken Parma was very tender cooked to perfection! Dessert took a little longer to come out but it was worth the wait!
Such a great atmosphere, thriving. The waiters and waitresses did a great job considering how busy it was, a bit on the slow side but we were not in a rush and just enjoyed the experience while we were waiting. The food was good however there was only one vegetarian option - good thing it was so tasty! I think visiting the Hard Rock Cafe is a must do in surfers!
Love this place, made the trip down from Brisbane just to have lunch there. We had the chicken tenders and hickory BBQ burger. The tenders were great, really filling and could almost be a main. The burger is huge, the bacon is super crispy and the BBQ sauce is perfect. Lots of cool music bits and pieces around the restaurant too which is fun

A great fun place for breakie, lunch and dinner. Great music, awesome tastes, super awesome cocktails! The service attendants are exceptional in a class of their own. Prices seem a bit steep but when you consider the size of the meals, the numerous attendants, the likely cost of rent or rates in Surfers and the overheads required just to run the place... the prices suddenly seem ok... Did Breakie there last month, going there again tonite with friends. Bon Appetit!
Breakfast is a winner. We used a Scoopon for breakfast this morning & I'm so glad we decided to try somewhere we have never been.
The service was outstanding, we were greeted like long lost friends and seated immediately. We were offered drinks nearly immediately and they arrived quickly.
Husband and I both had Benny & The Jets ... Or Eggs Benidect for the non-rockers. The eggs were poached beautifully the muffin toasted just right & the bacon crispy. The hollandaise could have used a touch more sharpness but it was lovely. Husband had salmon & it was tasty but needed a little salt.. Truly nothing but personal taste.
I totally recommend breakfast.
Surprising. Went to the Hard Rock last night as my daughter wanted to replicate her NY experience, I was not thrilled by the thought of it, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised the service was really good... Particularly Rock who really is a character and a great presence .. The food was also good for what it is a burger joint....didn't think I would say his but I would go back

Great atmosphere!. We went here 2 times while on holidays on the Gold Coast. Both times we loved it! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and had great humor. The meal was great too, some things were a little more expensive than others, but you could easily have a meal and cool drink (refillable) for around $20. I went with my friend and my 5 kids, they all enjoyed themselves.
Good... but not as great as I remembered. First time I went here was about 4 years ago, and I recently returned with my partner. Food was tasty and service was amazing as usual. Sadly it seems from the half-lit sign and somewhat empty inside that it's not as popular as it used to be. I don't think of Hard Rock as being equivalent to Hogs Breath or Outback Jacks. I always thought of it as being high above these joints, but on this last trip it seems like it's losing a bit of its sparkle. It needs a revamp!

Slightly underwhelming. I used to love this place 10+ years ago! however I left feeling disappointed on a recent trip to the Gold Coast. The interior is still the same and in keeping with the cafés theme, which is good. But felt like the meals were just high end priced 'junk food'.
Best Ribs and Smoked Wings you can find in QLD in my opinion, and the stafsf service are so friendly. Definitely a must come restaurant if you are ever in the area
Worth the price. We went for dinner Friday night. The staff were amazing and the hot wings were divine. Not really saucy but with a great kick to them. The atmosphere was of course brilliant. You certainly do get what you paid for.
Went here for lunch today and the first thing was the service from entering the door was fantastic. I work in hospitality so I can be pretty critical. The food was much better than I expected. I would definitely go back -- keep up the good work guys!
The staff were very friendly but couldn't help notice the style in serving where one person would be in charge of a few tables and we could only be served by him. Ordered the BBQ chicken where the center was cold and asked for it to be heated up. He apologised, served up a new set later and didn't charge for it. Excellent service although sometimes slow but can't be helped as he had his hands full. Definitely would recommend and would return again.

The food is ok, it's averaged priced in terms of restaurants. It's a bit of an experience but not a place I would go back as a regular. It's one of those places you go once just to try it. Don't worry. You won't be disappointed but you won't be back either.
