can come here for dinner if came back late from day time activities
Surfers Paradise is a bit of a desert when it comes to finding good food. If you are spoilt by the dining scene in Melbourne you really will struggle to find anything of much interest here. It is pretty dumbed down.
This place though was an exception. Mainly Korean standards but all well done and plenty of spice if you want it. Some interesting dishes too. Highly recommend.
Each time we visit the Gold Coast we always have dinner at Koreana BBQ and have been doing so for many years. The food is sensational. The service is great as are the staff. The Kimchi Fried Rice is magnificent as is the marinated beef with rice on a hotplate (which is very similar to beef bulgogi). All the food is great - highly recommend it.
Delicious food with a lovely vibe. We got the BBQ wagyu beef and pork with spicy marinade. The meat was succulent and rich on both counts. Service could have been better; either leave us to cook our own meat or give full focus to the bbqing at the table. Other than that, a lovely evening.
Great spot ! We had a fabulous meal last night at Koreana and the staff were very attentive. The meal was delicious and they accommodated our kids with pleasure. Definitely recommend !
Very good place. I have been there last weekend with my friends. We ate spicy beef soup and pork BBQ. It was fantastic!!!
There are very clean and nice.
My husband and I are regulars at Koreana BBQ. Great food for a good price and friendly staff. Chicken with rice and bibimbab are good choices, but my all time favourite is spicy beef soup (Yuk Gae Jang). Highly recommend it.

2nd time still great food seems it's still forsale but it was 6 months ago
So good I wanted to lick the BBQ! Pickled veggies are amazing.
Awsome food & taste cooked on a portable bbq right on your table! Pickled vegies are also a must have. Highly reccommend
The menu selection is reasonably wide, offering Korean barbecue dishes, as well as other Korean favourites, such as soups, noodles, and the ubiquitous bibimbap. The banchan (side dishes accompanying the main that is shared at the table) served here is comprised of three side dishes and always includes kimchi. The service is relaxed and unhurried, the premises clean and minimalist. It can get quite busy quite quickly, with Korean dinners, usually students, making up a healthy proportion of the diners.
One of a few places where they clean their table properly. Great food. Friendly and helpful staffs. Table service.
Great fresh tasting Korean food, at really good prices. The yukhoe-bibimbap in the hot stone bowl with raw beef is a definite go to. Been going here for well over a decade, the Lee family are always welcoming.
Fabulous! 3 of us shared 1 x BBQ combination #3, 1 x Kimchi, 2 x steamed rice. More than enough for all of us who enjoy substantial meals. So tasty. Great quality meat. Exceptional value. Great service. Highly recommended. Will be back next time on GC.
I've been coming here for over 10 years. Family run. They are consistent. The Korean food the server may be a bit different to other Korean restaurants. But It's one of my favourite Korean restaurant because of the consistency. I think if you grow up with Korean food, but may be a bit too plain for you. I think it's friendly to and for tourists
Super delicious Korean BBQ spot. The beef short rib and pork belly were very very tasty. It doesn’t look like anything special from the outside, but the food was as good or better than any Korean food we’ve had in Sydney’s Korean neighbourhood Strathfield. Prices were very fair too. My wife loves this place cause of the cold spicy noodles, and she is a cold noodle expert. Definitely will be returning again on our next trip to Gold Coast!!
Excellent authentic Korean food, we've been to this place multiple times and it always delivers! Affordable prices, we'll be definitely going back again 👍
