Chatham Food Store really surprised me with its range of provadore food items today when I called in for a coffee and breakfast to go. They had these delicious looking brioche bacon and egg rolls which I just had to have. Occasionally I’ve gazed in from crawling peak hour traffic and wondered what treats they had so was good to see it for myself. They had a head of home made pastries, pies and ready meals like lasagnas. The cosy space had all sorts of Interesting dry foods, far too much to see in the time I was in. Coffee was very good and although I ate the brioche a good 20 minutes later it was still warm and delicious... good quality bacon and goog. Will defiantly be back for some of those pies and sausage rolls.
Stopped by for a takeaway coffee and was impressed by the beautiful looking food and salads. They do gourmet meals, to takeaway, so I decided to give them a go for dinner that night. I bought the beef lasagne (there was also a pumpkin lasagne) and a grain salad.
Both were wonderful. The lasagne was rich and meaty and served 3 with side salads. At $25, it was good value for the quality.
I will definitely go back and try something else, I love the idea of quality gourmet meals to go, for those times you don't want to cook or go out.
Oh and the coffee was great too.
Awesome friendly service, best coffee in the area. They also have a really good range of cheeses, salads, and even pastas and other stuff to take home. We’ve only had brekky there once but it was awesome too, highly recommended!!
