Ridiculously delicious beyond words food and amazing AMAZING service! My experience was just beautiful on every level! Everything was perfect. Every dish that was brought out sent my tastebuds wild and we couldn't stop wow-ing all night long. We were the last to leave because the space was equally gorgeous. I've dined at every top restaurant in Sydney and this is most definitely in my top 3. I can't wait to dine here again!!!! Thank you for the flawless experience.

Sunday birthday lunch for four of us - my first visit and I was bowled over. As well as wonderful flavours and combinations, the staff are a delight. The highlight was possibly the waiter making the hummus at the table with a huge mortar and pestle. And a surprise piece of birthday cake with candle for the birthday girl topped it off! Can't wait to go back.

Pretty amazing to have a restaurant at almost full seating on a Saturday Morning go out of their way to hoist our little 3 year old up onto a chair at the bar and have 2 staff and the barista take her through a course in how to create the perfect babycino. Amazing food as always. Thanks for the experience.

What a fabulous lunch we had here on a sunny day. the food is sensational and the service was outstanding - respectful caring and timely. We ordered a selection of dishes and they brought them out one at a time so we could eat at our leisure without the table being crowded. Wine recommendation was great and not the most expensive side on the list. An excellent experience that we will seek to return to again and again.

Had lunch on a Sunday for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary and was blown away with how accommodating Kepos & Co were, although not without a few hiccups. We reserved a week in advance but were still seated outside temporarily while we waited for our table inside to be cleared. It was too windy to be seated outside, but still waited 10-15 mins to move. Then, when we ordered, our waiter assumed we were all sharing and 2 of 6 meals were served at least 20 mins before the others. My mother and I were left to eat our ceviche while the others looked on. Eventually, the kitchen caught on and tried to speed up the other mains. The woman in charge of service apologised profusely - thank God our waiter had finished his shift by this point - and offered us complimentary dessert, which took us by surprise. Not only that, but she surprised us again by kindly taking 25% off the total bill. Doing all this w/o knowing we celebrated a special occasion proves that Kepos love their customers, and are smart enough to do whatever it takes to get them to come back. This wasn't our first time here, and still proud to say we'll be back again soon.

Fantastic professional service. I normally don’t eat middle eastern food due to constant traces of nuts and the high amount of nuts used in the food (severe nut allergy), however this place was excellent at catering to nut allergies and made sure I had my own Mezze plate that was nutfree. The quality of the food was still high quality despite the changes they made to suit me and that professionalism and attention to detail made the overall experience excellent. The lamb shank was the best dish as it was so tender and full of different flavours and many combinations were possible with the addition of the pancake. The ambience and bustle of the restaurant was also extremely nice to see whilst sticking to social distancing guidelines. It was the best experience I’ve had with middle eastern food.

Dishes tried- oysters, hommus, fig & haloumi, zucchini flowers, tuna kibbe, lamb shoulder and pommes. The quality was there, would have liked some fresh herbs added for example to the hommus and fig & haloumi just to break up the flavours as the haloumi was drenched in honey, something sweet to the tuna (added some of the honey from the haloumi) and maybe something wet like a yoghurt to the lamb or dressing. Pommes was too crispy/hard for our liking. Service was fine. Overall pleasant and would recommend.

Small little space in a residential/commercial complex. Very close to the original Kepos Street Kitchen. Only bummer is location if taking public transport but it's ok. Came here for Friday night dinner and greeted warmly. Attentive service and some great choices on the menu. We went for hummus with bread, lamb shoulder and brussel sprouts. Did get asked if we wanted to get more but we were fine.
Food's yummo, so would like to come back and try more.

Hige fan of Kepos and Co. The dishes are modern takes with classic flavours and executed perfectly. The haloumi with figs is next level, the burrata is a must, and the wagyu flank steak is just sensational along with the salads being fresh and crunchy. Love when a menu has some great vegetable dishes to be enjoyed on their own or with other amazing plates. Total must!

Warmth is the word comes to mind when describing Kepos & Co. From the warm lighting from the beautiful ornament hanging lamps, friendliest and most helpful staff to the flavour vibrant menu rich in middle eastern spices.

The menu changes seasonally. I had lamb shoulder and it was tender and full of flavour. But trust me when I say this, what you want is their Hummus which they always make fresh in front of you complete with mortar and pestle and serve with Za'atar bread on the side. And the bread is beautifully house made bread that was a perfect accompaniment with the Hummus.

Gorgeous interiors matched by amazing customer service and even better food! Kepos & Co is a hidden oasis on the outskirts of Waterloo.

Excuse my ignorance but before visiting Kepos & Co I had no idea how hummus was made, only that it was a gift from the Gods. Well at this restaurant, they made the hummus in front of me and oh my goodness it was heavenly. Rich and warm with chunky pieces of chickpea, this hummus was packed full of flavour which I dipped into over and over with fresh oven-baked bread.

The kingfish ceviche was beautifully presented with pomegranate gems to add sweetness and colour and radish sprouts creating an intricate webbing on top. The kingfish was delicate and fresh and what I found interesting was the unexpected tingle it left on the palate. Lamb rump was cooked perfectly to medium rare which left the meat juicy and tender. The tahini added depth to the dish and I liked the bed of eggplant underneath.

To end a perfect night, I had to try the fig parfait. I liked the simplicity of the presentation not only for its aesthetics but also because it allowed each element on the dish to shine on its own and as a complete dish. The dessert was quite sweet but I enjoyed it after a heavy main course. I also liked how there were recommendations for drinks for each dessert. It was small touches like these that made the dining experience more memorable.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

My thanks to Kepos & Co and Food Shot Sydney for the invite.

Great dinner for four with an outdoor table. The menu is small but offers choice and variety with many vegetarian options that are incredibly tasty (tasty enough to not miss meat). Never pass any opportunity to start your meal with the faithful fave, Warm Hummus with freshly baked bread. The hummus is made table-side by the wait staff and bread is wood-oven hot - delicious and moreish but don’t overdo the hummus & bread so you can’t enjoy the rest of the menu.

All dishes selected were delicious with stand outs Crispy Lamb Belly, Fig & Halloumi with Walnuts, Roasted Baby Carrots, Shaved Brussel Sprouts, Seared Yellow Fin Tuna & finally Lamb Shoulder.

A cheeky dessert of Halva Mousse was amazing and shared but instantly devoured.

Notes... The noise of all tables/diners is challenging and makes conversation difficult but is not a deal breaker (outdoor tables away from the dining room are slightly better). Make a booking for groups larger than 4 and if you prefer an outdoor table.

A hidden gem in Waterloo. Diners who love Kepos Street Kitchen will love Kepos and Co even more.

They serve delicious Meditteranean food and is unique, delivering the authentic experience.

Service is top notch. The staff are well trained and are very knowledgeable on the menu.

Recommended 3-4 dishes between two people.

We tried the Greek Portor for our drinks. Very rich and bold.

We started off with the Eggplant Matabul dip. It came with hot crispy bread. It was very rich and creamy and was a perfect way to start the meal.

The Kingfish Ceviche was absolutely divine; it tasted so fresh. My bf does not eat seafood, but he tried this dish and he thought very highly of it.

Their Asparagus dish was surprisingly delightful. We had never had asparagus so tender before. The goats cheese was not overpowering.

We finished off with the Black Angus Scotch. It was a little bit tough, but the flavours were sensational.

Recommendations: Asparagus and the Ceviche.

The Falafel Breakfast (4/5): is delicious! The falafels are crispy on the outside (love the sesame seeds) and moist and fluffy on the inside. Together with some runny yolk from the soft boiled egg with a smidge of creamy hummus and labneh on the slice of toast is a dance of lovely flavours and textures. I loved the addition of the salty olives and chilli for a kick!

My partner had the Breakfast Bun (5/5): He proclaimed this is the best Breaky Burger he's had so far! He loved the buttery toasted brioche bun and the flavour of the chilli jam. The bacon was perfectly cooked and not dry and there were surprisingly 2 eggs in the bun which means 2 big bursts of egg yolky goodness to add creaminess to the burger.

Would 10/10 return here for breaky, lunch and dinner ☺️

Casual a la carte dining in a cobbled courtyard setting overlooking a pool shaded by palms. Accessed via Danks or Phillip Streets, Kepos and Co offers indoor or alfresco dining; we choose the latter option for the lovely cross-breeze on this particularly warm Sydney day. The menu proves to be one of those ones where each dish sounds better than the one you've just read, however, there is not an iota of post-selection dissonance when the poached eggs with pea and haloumi fritters is brought out. It's the perfect weekend brunch dish and the sprigs of chervil add an usual aniseed accent to the fresh fritters and lovely soft poached eggs.

In a hidden away part of a complex in Danks Street, make sure you make your way into find it. Middle eastern food that is absolutely delicious and interesting, its worth a visit. We tried a range of foods, including the lamb pizza which was incredible - topped with pine nuts, yoghurt and mint, it was extremely morish. We also had the very tasty meatballs with eggs and cheese, as well as dad's breakfast - falafels and bread. Coffee here was also good. An attentive a friendly staff member and prices are about what you expect at cafes these days.

I went with a girlfriend last week. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic (maybe a bit too cozy as the table was so small, almost uncomfortable). We had the hummus, the halloumi and the angus. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey. The service had a few hiccups, but everybody makes mistakes and the staff overall were very nice and professional.

Lovely friendly and personal service during our lunchtime visit. The space was very airy and open. We selected the ocean trout salad and raw salmon salad with soba noodles. The ocean trout salad was a little salty and sour but I'm a lover of sour flavours. The ingredients were fresh and flavoursome and the trout was delicious and tender! For the raw salmon, they were sliced into cubes very juicy and fresh. Don't think the noodles we had were soba noodles though, my only comment was that the noodles were stuck together. The sauce in this salad was slightly sweet but not over powering in any way. Definitely worth a try! Chips are cooked to the crisp. Good chips, not the best and lemonade was very refreshing! Highly recommend a try here. Good quality and very tasty food. Thank you for a lovely experience :)

Have heard a lot about this middle eastern place - it has a cult following in Sydney really - and finally got the chance to try for myself. Warm and intimate space, very nice and cosy with low lighting and a small number of table and chairs. Not a large and crazy place where your order is one of millions. You are right next to the kitchen and it takes 5 seconds from pan to plate. Everything is designed to share, but that should come with a warning - you're probably better off ordering more rather than less if you're feeling hungry. The food was very good, though for a middle eastern restaurant I feel the bold flavours could have been pushed further to be honest. I felt there was some restraint where I would have liked the chef to let go.

To begin with we had zaatar flat bread with goat's labneh (12). This was what I had been looking for, the zesty tang of zaatar with olive oil and warm flat bread - an absolute winner. For entree was duck liver pate, caramelised onion bread,  and quince (21). The pate was great - a large serving too - however the caramelised onion bread (two small pieces come with the pate) was very sweet, perhaps unnecessarily so given the quince paste was also on hand. We ended up ordering more onion bread (4) to mop up the pate. Main was the 120 day aged black angus rump,  with lentil, pomegranate, and nuts (34). While very tasty, I felt (1) there could have been more - it's a serving that could do one just fine without sharing, and (2) I was hoping for bolder flavours. As to (1), I understand it's an expensive product, but I would rather have a 90, 60, or 30 day aged steak and have more of it. As for (2), I was hoping for the same middle eastern flavour hit I got with the zaatar to begin with - something that makes the tastebuds dance and come alive. Unfortunately I think they're just playing it a bit safe with this one. As a side we picked up the roasted carrots with cumin, honey and feta, (14) and that was sublime, the heat of the cumin matching perfectly with the sweetness of the carrots and honey and the saltiness of the feta. Would I go back? Definitely. Would I take extra cash and order more options from the menu next time? For sure.

Cozy environment, love the idea of eating at the courtyard with palm trees around us. For a moment, I thought I am on a vacation :)

What did we order? Eggplant mutabal dip, pomegranate served with wood fired baked bread
(omg! the dip and the wood fired baked bread taste so good together!! LOVE it!!! )
Seared tuna nicoise, dukkah,, homemade mustard
( This was such a hit; just the right amount of citrus and spice)
Veal ragout, potato gnocchi, tomatoes, lemon zest
( so good. I am drooling right now)
Golden peony & pear iced tea with vanilla  (honestly, not a big fan of their iced tea, it looks so pretty though)

Kepos&Co is always so busy that I feel like I'm not doing myself any favours by telling others how good the food here really is. We got here around 11am for a very late breakfast and had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. The staff was extremely nice  and corteous so the wait did not seem too long.  We set down and placed our orders and a few minutes later the manager came over and while apologising profusely has asked if we could do her a favour and move to the smaller table for two right next to us as they were very busy and there was a bigger party that could only fit our table. We had no issue with that but in return we were offered a free dessert of our choice. We laughed it off but the manager was so persistent that we ended up with two chocolate and tahini macaroons. The food was already so good but the complimentary dessert totally made our day! A must to visit if you are in the area

Great for lunch, great for brunch. Had the brunch at Kepos St. I had the baked meatballs, eggs, tomatoes, yoghurt cheese ($18) and a large soy latte ($5) and my friend had the warm hommus, burnt butter, poached egg, taboon bread($17). Everything was so delicious!!! While the cost is getting up there for breakfast you quite clearly are paying for something that little bit more special. The waitress told us the taboon bread is cooked onsite & the meals are also big enough if you wish to share. Very gooood!!!

Six of us, including three vegans, ate here on Friday evening for my son's 20th. The food was excellent as expected but the service exceptional, equal to the best I have experienced in Sydney. The effort all staff went to was much appreciated, and all so genuine. I was especially impressed by how they suggested and made modification to satisfy vegan requirements. We stumbled across this place when we were looking for brunch in Waterloo. It's tucked away, off the street, in a nice little rustic courtyard which was perfect for mid morning.

I had the pide with haloumi & spinach, which was perfection! The salsa served with it, which was tomato based with mint and spices complimented it perfectly. The pide dough was light and crisp and didn't leave me feeling excessively full, although the serving size was very generous. This dish had really stuck with me!

The service was also of a high level but remained warming which topped this dining experience off for me. Job well done!

Being a serious Middle Eastern food fanatic, I was dying to try out Kepos Street Kitchen's big brother restaurant Kepos & Co. Luckily Valentine's Day came around and this seemed like the most appropriate destination for dinner. The service is extremely attentive and friendly. The food was staggered, which I love, and was fragrant, light and very flavoursome. My favourites were definitely the Fig and Haloumi salad and Potato Tortellini. They also have a great cocktail menu which is a huge bonus for me! Will definitely be back here!

Food was lovely and the staff were very attentive especially the floor manager (?) We ordered the fig salad and haloumi from the menu and was expecting the dish to be more of a "salad" but the haloumi was the main component of the dish with a fig on the side. No complaints on the flavour but was just expecting something different. The prawns were super tasty with the chermoula and the sweet glaze of the quail was perfectly balanced with the saltiness of the accompanying sujuk. Fried cauliflower was delicious. If you are after a not so sweet dessert, definitely order the pistachio cannoli. It was an interesting little middle eastern take on an italian dessert

Besotted. They say beauty is only skin deep, I say who cares when it is as seductively packaged as Kepos & Co. Set in a courtyard with Moorish overtones, there were plenty of more-ish tones in Kepos & co as well. For a start, the warm hummus with burnt butter, poached egg and freshly baked teboon bread was outstandingly good, and a super generous serving. And then the labneh, cinnamon and honey milkshake was the best milkshake experience of my life - just amazing. Even our salad - smoked trout, freekah, asparagus coriander and hazelnuts was fantastic, and again, a very generous serving. We didn't have space for dessert but they looked well worth the trying. I don't usually rave but I really really liked this cafe. The service still needs a little smoothing around the edges - great maitre d', and our waitress was very nice and attentive, but one of the other waitresses was decidedly lacking in the people skills department. Just quibbles however, all up my dining buddy and I were unanimous in awarding this our best score.

Those familiar with Michael Rantissi’s flagship cafe Kepos Street Kitchen will know just how long the wait can be during peak trading hours. To be fair, the queues are well-deserved – that cafe was my favourite of 2014. How did that happen? Through a unique, Mediterranean-inspired menu, and having it perfectly-executed. But the pressure needed to be relieved, and the Kepos Street Kitchen side simply could not expand.

Kepos and I shared a whirlwind Winter romance (8/10) and just 3 weeks later, an expensive divorce is in order. It's not my fault. Now a Spring clipboard menu 'update' disguises a multi-dollar pricing step-up; four months after open! Taking a page from the Justin Bieber book of premature success, Kepos' owner(s) is stroking his own ego.

I'm a huge fan of Kepos Street Kitchen (the food, not the service 😝), so was keen to give these guys a go. True the form, the food is brilliant. Have been twice since they opened and both were fantastic. The service appears to be better than KSK too so that's a bonus. The lamb burger was my favourite, some serious flavours in that patty. Though the bread and hummus was seriously next level too. I'm not surprised though, these guys certainly know their food!!!

Middle East meets hipster Sydney East in a homely yet different feed at Kepos & Co. This is a welcome injection of modern Israel into an otherwise student overpopulated, culturally confused Waterloo. Sunday morning, brunch hour.  Waterloo has shaped up nicely to attract and retain a returning crowd with choice is in modern Australian.  It was a sunny morning, the first in as many days, for this inner Sydney gathering hole.  I noticed the doggies felt at ease in the place.  With a menu that infuses Mediterranean influences and a clever play of local produce, I had expectations.

The variations in burger were several, but I liked my blue cod on the bun. The barista made coffee, which is always a significant factor in such Sydney styled places, was not overly strong.   Ray said the steak burger is always reliable - and one again it was.   Susan had the warm chicken soup . The friendly staff member who attended to us had mistakenly slipped our written orders in her pocket - and so the food was late in coming.  She was utterly apologetic even if we tried to reassure her it was okay, after all it was a busy Sunday morning for her and colleagues.  She provide us with complimentary latte and dessert samplings, which we appreciated  - the carrot cake is a must try!

Kepos & Co. is located in a  spacious plaza - user friendly, especially with throw rugs available on chairs!

Ample street parking, didn't have to wait long for a table. Ordered a fish burger and portion was generous. Good coffee too but the date mocktail was a bit tooo sweet

Just amazing. Everything here is beautifully presented and packed full of flavour. Highlights were the sujuk pide with a perfectly cooked base served fresh from the wood fire oven; the warm hummus with burnt butter and poached egg; the smoky roasted eggplant with creamy burrata cheese; and the chocolate halva macaroon brownie for dessert. I want to bring all of my friends here one by one and sample everything.

Warm atmosphere in a rather bleak danks street development. Beautifully designed inside space although outdoor tables overlooking a concrete courtyard are unappealing. Food the same excellent standard as at the original Kepos Street Cafe. Wine list is a bit upmarket with high corkage, but an interesting selection, and good cocktails. Wait staff are friendly and efficient. The important part: the food. Jerusalem style hummus is brought to you as warm chickpeas, together with tehina, garlic, lemon juice and salt in a mortar and mashed at your table. Delicious!! The octopus caramelised with carob may sound weird but it is a perfect pairing, crunchy outside and beautifully tender. Whole baby cauliflower roasted is a surprise especially for those who are indifferent, at best, to cauliflower. Worth trying, so good! The roasted eggplant with burrata and pomegranate is sweet, soft and luscious. Try it if you don't believe me. Wagyu brisket comes with a dish of rice, pine nuts and pomegranates. Soft, intense and the kind of dish that gives brisket a good name. The quail is stuffed with chorizo and other good things (I think mushrooms). Tender, well cooked and easy to eat. For dessert we had the cannoli, encrusted with sesame seed, and Laid on a delicious, shiny, not too sweet, caramelised strawberry and pomegranate slick. Good coffee and an unusual selection of teas. Much more still to taste and a brunch menu to look forward to.

This amazing new restaurant is an extension of Kepos Kitchen with more of a middle eastern flair to their food. I went for dinner for my momma’s birthday and it was amazing. Kepos & co has such a great interior and inviting atmosphere. The food is designed to share and since there were 5 of us, we ordered almost everything on the menu. Everything that was brought out was so delicious and we were so full by the end. Just go here. The food is beyond delicious. The drinks are also amazing. Staff are very personable and attentive. You will absolutely not be disappointed. The chef might also visit your table and ask how everything is. That is also a major awesome plus. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
