Rang late afternoon, expecting to not be able to get a table, had no trouble getting a booking.
Service was great, our waitress was very helpful with interpretating the menu & helping with the different options we required.
The deluxe sangria we ordered was delicious, the tapas were delicious, hot & fresh from the kitchen.
Couldn't fault the night, it was a perfect way to end our last night in Sydney.
I would highly recommend this place, very friendly made us welcome and food was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back when we are in Sydney next!!
I’ve been eating here for years and it never fails. Great service and great food. Yesterday the eggplant chips with honey and goats cheese were extra delish. Everything else was lovely too, potato bravas, lamb skewers, meatballs.
I had my birthday dinner last night at Encasa Lane Cove and it was spectacular. We had set menu 1 for 11 people. The quality and quantity of the food did not disappoint. Everyone was raving about the whole experience. Great service, delicious food. Thanks for a great night. We will definitely be back.
We arrived without a booking, before going to a show. They agreed to let us in- if we were quick. Service was quick, food was excellent, yes we were hurried out the door, but we still managed time for Tapa, dessert, wine and Sangria. Staff were friendly nd efficient
Great place, enjoyed the pizza and the sangria. Good service.
This place is amazing, had dinner there tonight with friends and we all loved it.
The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing, we ordered a big selection and each dish was perfect ... hopefully one day we look forward to seeing you in Perth !!!
We found this gem of a restaurant online when browsing for dinner near the capitol theatre, and it did not disappoint! Food was amazing! We tried a number of dishes (Tapas) and each new one that came out was better than the last! Service was also excellent. Great spot with a friendly, warm vibe.
Most wonderful place to eat!
I could rave about every single bite!
White Sangria? Best I have had in, or outside of Spain! Baked milk? AHHHMMMAAZZEBALLS!! Shredded beef? Fan bloody tastic. Just go there, eat, repeat.
Fantastic tapas - great Sangria. Super fast friendly service. All round great dining experience.
Went here for lunch and tried their seafood paella and albondigas. Albondigas is basically a meatball with sauce. Portion for both foods are sooo big. The foods taste also beyond expectations! It was really good and staffs are attentive as well. Will definitely come back to try other foods👌
Good Spanish food from different cities of Spain. The croquettes where delicious and creamy a perfect tapa. The Gambos Al Ajillo was one of my favorites which went well with the bread provided. The Albondigas was a little dry and the mince meat was a little chewy, but the sauce was amazing!
A busy running restaurant, we ordered the paella and some small dishes, the food was ok. I didn’t really have the “ I’m in heaven” while having them, the customer service was quite nice though
Came as a guest. I bright my Spanish with be and I agreed with his rating. Tapas was good, the paella was better and a good portion for 2 people and the Spanish creme brûlée was the best! Plenty of choices also I feel like it would take multiple visits to try everything I want to try
Great food!!Although long delivery time for the food , the food was nice and yummy .Sangria is awesome! All the staffs were very lovely .Already craving it again.
Loved every moment here!
Came with a booking for 8 people and they were very accommodating.
Great place to meet up with friends for a small bite or a bigger dinner as every dish we had was great.
Favourites were the patatas bravas, the paella and the sangria!!!

Encasa has always been my top Spanish go to restaurant in Sydney. I’m a big fan of their Sangria. I’ve tried countless sangrias at other places and Encasa’s is still my no. 1! Of course tapas is phenomenal, full of flavour and never disappoints. Every time I go I always order their tapas so I would definitely recommend that! Staff is always full of energy and so welcoming!
Missus had her first Spanish food here and love it a lot. We took our friends to Encasa again as they too never try Spanish food before and they fall in love with it.
Service it quite hectic due to the busiest dinner almost every night especially during the weekend. We know because one of my ex colleague used to work here before she went back to Spain.
Ambience is soft and warm but place get a bit noisy when all tables are full.
The food are awesome and tasty. We love their seafood paella and it needs half an hour of waiting so advise to order first.
All the tapas were present in nice way love the mushroom especially.
We celebrated many occasion there too and the food is consistency everytime with the same nice flavour.
Strongly recommended!
Super love Encasa!!! It’s my go-to place when craving for paella and tapas! Love their dishes and the service! But it could get busy at night, so better to make a booking!
Those who have lived in Sydney long enough might remember the old Spanish Quarter along Liverpool Street in the city. The designated precinct is long gone, largely taken over by ever-popular Asian eateries. Decent Spanish restaurants are few and far between these days but one restaurant, against all odds, has not only become an institution but has also expanded into multiple stores. That restaurant is Encasa
I love Encasa!! Been meaning to go for a long long time! Finally got the chance to go last Tuesday! And I was very blown away by the food!!
Their spaghetti, tapas and paella - are the best!! My favourite tapas are the grilled octopus and chorizo!! Best ever!!
Excellent Spanish food in a buzzing place. Always full for a reason; they’re food is hearty affair of shareplates and individual serves. Pretty reasonable price. This place gets CROWDED so you need to book, especially on a weekend or Friday/Thursday night. Would definitely recommend the paellas, especially the squid ink one. It looks as dark as your heart and makes your teeth black but it sure brightens your soul.

Went to Spain last year and since returning been on a Journey to find Paella and Tapas close to what I had in Barcelona. With this place I think I finally found a piece of me left behind somewhere amongst the Catalans.... amazing wonderful prompt service with a warm smile from the moment you step through that door. Food was second to none and tbh left me wanting more.
For now I say au revoir, and until we meet again 😊👌🏻
Encasa is a Spanish restaurant located in the Sydney CBD that is famous for their authentic food and lively ambiance. They also have a newly opened restaurant in Lane Cove and takeaway shops in food courts. I have been to this restaurant a few times and went back this time to try some of the dishes on their specials menu.
We went on a Tuesday evening within 2hrs the restaurant was chop a block.
I recommend their sangria, probably one of the best I've tried. Good for those who prefers a more fruity sangria.
We ordered 3 tapas -
Baby octopus- yummy but slightly burnt. Didn't bother my partner he actually prefers it to be slightly burnt.
Scallops - this is a must have! The scallops was Huge and fresh. The sauce (saffron shallot and cream) made the dish
Bravas - we've had this before, you really can't go wrong with bravas. Bits of of potato with sauce nomnomnom
We ordered paella without the chicken, you need a min of 2 people to order this dish. A very generous amount of tender muscles, king prawns and baby octopus. We love paella and thought this was delicious I felt that t was a tad over salty
For dessert we ordered the recommended chocolate mousse type dish, the mousse was between an ice cream and a mousse. I have no idea what was in the sauce that went over the dessert but it tasted like durian and I'm not a big fan of durian. Partner loved it though
We haven't had tapas and paella for ages, encasa makes us want to have it more often. Will be back
*we were kindly invited
Encasa (Pitt Street) is conveniently located walking distance from Central Station. The restaurant was very cosy, and the staff were very welcoming. We ordered a range of different tapas from the menu, along with a pasta dish. The standout for me was the Pinchos Morunos and the Bravas – both were incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection! The chef and staff have done a remarkable job of representing Spain right here in Sydney.

Reasonably priced and great place to eat! Service was friendly and a wide variety of tapas to choose from. The paella was actually nice despite reviews! Will definitely be back to try the other tapas and drink more sangria!
Encasa has a few branches around town. Being around the Lane Cove neighbourhood for a long time, I used to go to that branch for lunch and dinner. Whilst the one on George Street embraces the same menu, it’s a lot more buzzing being situated at the heart of CBD. Tabla Mixta$25.00. Simplicity is the best. I often just opt for the most basic items when I go to any restaurants. This mix board consists of Salchichon (40gr), Jamon Iberico (40gr), Manchego (80gr). And no, I can’t say no to thin cut savoury hams and olive oil drizzled bread! It’s just such a great way to break some ice with whoever dining with you, over a glass, or a few, of their sweet and also very boozy sangria.
A straightforward honest Spanish tapas restaurant with tasty and fresh food, good size servings and great service. The lamb skewers we tender and well flavoured, the Spanish olives were very good and the sour dough bread with garlic and tomatoes was also quite nice.
Invited for friend bday dinner.
It’s my first time dine here and it was yummy.
Sangria 👍👍 and paella was cooked perfectly. The service was good.
Overall was good.
Been there a couple of times before. Sizzling garlic prawn, grilled chorizo, garlic mushroom and fried potato has been my all time favourite. The portion of fried potato seem smaller now... Not a huge fan of paella to be honest, I could just have tapas till full in this place haha
This is a popular eatery that seems to be full even on a weeknight, with customers happily chatting away over drinks and tapas. As there were only 2 of us, we only ordered 4 tapas but thoroughly enjoyed them - the barramundi that was a special was fresh and cooked and seasoned to perfection. The waitresses were friendly and efficient. The place can get a little loud so I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic date but it's great for a catch up with friends. Would love to come back to try more dishes.
Great food, ambience is very nice. Staff speaks Spanish which gives it an authentic touch. Food arrived at appropriate timings which kept the rhythm going.
Had a fantastic holiday catch up with about ten friends after our recent trip to Spain. The food was great, plentiful and very good quality but the wait staff were even better. David and his team kept the food and drinks coming and they were just the right mix of friendly. David speaks Spanish and so the place has a real authenticity to it. We will definitely be going back!
Great food. The prawns weren't too fresh. The rice and the pizza was good. The creaminess of the sauce mixed with the squid ink rice is a good combination.
Encasa never disappointed me. Order garlic prawns and mussels, even its just a simply dishes, yet it's amazing. Will definitely go back to try other tapas.
It's a very busy restaurant and need to make booking in advance.
The food is nice. It's my favourite Spanish restaurant. They always deliver decent Spanish food.
I went there on Thursday. It was packed and I reserved the table on the same day. We got the table straight away when we got there.
The waitress checked 2 times if we were happy with the food. And if we need anything. Our plates were changed after we have the tapas so we got the clean plate to enjoy the paella and the squid ink rice. I would say their service is quite good on a busy Thursday night.
I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Pro:Best Spanish tapas I've ever had and I've been to Spain! I particularly loved the paella , chorizo, and potato dish with garlic mayo sauce! Yum! . Restaurant is quaint with nice vibe . I highly recommend this place!! Friendly service .
Con: Sangria was not good. Long line so need a booking. Pricy . Portions r small for the high price.
My go to for special occasions. My fav is the calamaris and tortillas. All the tapas I had were on point but be prepared to spend a little if you are drinking too!
greatest Italian food I have ever had in Sydney!!🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻💋💋i think the chef is an Italian, and it is really worthwhile to have a try,if you are crazy about Italian food
I think the food is here is very nice as Spanish food go - the only reason I didn't rate it higher is because this was my first time trying Spanish in earnest and what I had (paella) didn't entirely agree with me. It was tasty but somehow it felt like the ingredients weren't blending in and personally I didn't really appreciate their combination. The service was nice but due to our relative ignorance of the cuisine we ended up ordering a liquor that tasted like some sour syrup and we also ordered too much. But the spanish sausages tasted great.
Very busy even for a weeknight dinner, lucky I made a booking. The place has a rustic & cheerful feel, you get the sense it'll be a good night with great food being washed down with some sangria. Between two of us, we got their red sangria & 3 plates to share, plus some churros for dessert. It was more then enough for us. All the food were delicious, with punchy flavours. The grilled baby octopus is nicely charred with great texture, the twice cooked pork ribs with hand cut chips were soft, juicy & full of flavour, the chips were amazing with the sauce. Even the mushrooms were oozing with garlic flavour and deliciousness. The churros were thin ones, so not the fluffiness you expect, but it does have a spring in the dough & went very well with the choc orange sauce. One of the bigger night out in ages!
Good for big groups. Food was very fresh and there was plenty. Decor a bit lacking which rendered the atmosphere a bit flat. All in all a good night though.
Really like the tapas and seafood rice there. And also the sangria smells and tastes very good. Quite Spanish! But you need to arrive on time, it's very popular in weekend. I've been there twice, once was Saturday, I arrived 30mins late, the manager was very angry... but I like the food anyway.
Haven't had much experience with Spanish food before, this place is quiet good . The octopus is a must try, nicely grilled with oil sauce and lemon over the top. Chorizo is always good no matter where you eat it. The paella was okay but nothing special. The pizza's looked quiet nice and was popular from what I saw from the other tables. Will have to try next time. Staff was helpful and nice.
Perfect for groups especially the set menus which provide generous amounts of food. Talking of food - all of it was very delicious - particularly the garlic mushrooms and the seafood paella and the sangria goes down really well too - just make sure to order the jug not by the glass! Service on the night was fantastic - efficient and attentive without hovering over us to finish quickly . Having been to a few Spanish eateries around town - this is one of the best.
wonderful tapas as delicious as it can be. We were so stupid and not able to find paella on the menu.. could've just ordered it by telling them. Had a fantastic night with my girlfriend ❤️
My go to Spanish restaurant in Sydney. Loved their Paella and tapas. All dishes were very delicious and freshly made. I especially enjoyed meatball, lamb and garlic prawns. Glass of wine or sangria makes it even better. Service was great too. You should definitely book in advance as they get really busy during dinner time.
Thr food was excellent but the paella overpriced for for the quality. Nevertheless, a must visit place for thr decor and ambience.. the staff was very friendly and the service was quick
Good place for eating with a bunch of friends. The location is great, staff was nice. Loved their paella and lamb sticks, so good. Scallops were also nice, wonder what sauce they used :)
Couldn't rate this place any higher. I have been dining here for over 8 years and it is still the best Spanish tapas restaurant in Sydney. Great food, service and drinks. Love it!
They have the best paella and sangria here!
The interior is very Mexican and also very warm inside as well. But staff were friendly and the food were presented very well and tasted so flavoursome.
Encasa Deli is one of my favourite places. I haven't been to Encasa floor a few years and the last time I went I didn't have find memories of the place. However, this visit redeem my opinion of the restaurant.
We came quite late at night with no reservations but the waiter did his best to find us a table for five.
Service was good - efficient and courteous.
The food was very delicious especially the meatballs in almond sauce. The tortilla de patatas was tasty but I was disappointed as it wasn't cooked the same way as I was used to in Spain.
There is a large selection of Spanish wines and beers.
It's a extremely loud restaurant but that is what is expected from a Spanish place and adds to the authenticity of it.
So if you want an real Spanish experience with tasty Spanish food come to Encasa.
Food are very nice, classic Spanish... tapas are amazing, love the sausage and the king prawn with garlic oil chili. And good service, Will come again.

Seriously the best tapas place that I have been to in Sydney!
We came here for lunch based on the smell of what was cooking. We were greeted by a really nice waiter who talked us through the menu.
Funny story - we didn't realise that we ordered a giant omelette. No regrets tho as it was demolished!
Make sure you order the lamb dish first as it takes a while for the chefs to work their magic on it.
Oh and please make sure you get the garlic prawns!! It was so fresh, juicy and just damn yummy. ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney
Beautiful spanish food, excellent service and not to pricy.
For entree we had scallops, and beef with kimchi which was great and for mains was the paella for 2 which again i couldnt fault.
Will be coming back here again!
Fast paced environment; serving cheap tapas; staffed with wonderful people. We used to live less a minute from here at Quest. So this was our go to take away dinner place of choice. You should see it on a busy night - when getting a table can be a tad tricky.
Services was fast, food was awesome ( we ordered like 10 tapas and 2 jars of Sangaria), waiting staff were helpful and plenty of seats on Friday lunch. what more can you ask for?
especially recommend their special scallops with jamon and the lamb skews.
Nice food and friendly staff. Great variety of spanish dishes. Crema catalana was great as well the gambas and the olive salads. The tortilla was simple. Needs to improve.
The food, staff, and atmosphere here do not disappoint. It does get LOUD, though...very loud. Came here and tried the Canary Islands special as well as the banquet menu on a separate occassion and both visits were a great experience. The white sangria was to die for and defintely couldn't go back to drink the red one after we tried the white.
The speed at which the tapas came out was very impressive and the food was very fresh. The waitress who served us was lovely and was happy to assist any of our questions. Highly recommend this place
I have been going here for a few years now and the food quality has always been consistent and good..
Have tried the paella most of the times and I must say it's one of the best paellas I have had so far.
Good food and good service.
Went for a high school meet up here because we figured Spanish was exotic and different to all the asian food we were accustomed to. Much to the unease of my friends, we sat inside, and were greeted warmly by the staff. The lighting could have been better inside, but that's potentially the style of the restaurant. Ordered the chorizo pasta for $19 and was quite satisfied, though not amazed.
Friends ordered the pizzas and they were relatively good, but not stand out either. Perhaps I should be ordering Spanish food next time, so that's the goal for next time! Definitely a recommendation for uni budget people who still want an exotic cuisine.
fairly Spanish food. Tried seafood paella, antipasto, meat pizza, etc. didn't try any drinks tho. Food was fresh and kind of at a reasonable price. But the pizzas were really at small sizes, which was the smallest price I've ever seen in Sydney. Tried so many Italian food before, wondering if it was a difference between Italian pizza and Spanish pizza.
Sizzle your appetite at one of my favourite Spanish restaurants in Sydney. Marinate with various tapas to share including the crunchy and creamy potatas, aromatic grilled prawns, plus the extremely satisfying grilled baby octopus. Pan-fry into a small pizza, for those who are still hungry, especially if spicy Pamplona sausage, bacon, ham, meatballs sound like the perfect toppings for you. Finally, sweeten your taste buds with the classic chocolate churros or the special mango and coconut fried ice cream.
Very very very very goodddd... excellent friendly service. Food never disappoint. Been there 3 times. Had different food each time and none has disappoint so far. Always full.of surprises. Simply the best Spanish restaurant in Sydney. Seafood are fresh.
Was craving a paella and Encasa definitely lived up to the reviews I read online. Warm place, friendly staff. Went on a Saturday afternoon, place wasn't that busy.

If Sydney’s winter suddenly makes the idea of a sizzling cast-iron plate of garlic prawns sitting under your nose, very attractive, get thee into Encasa Restaurant for Gambas Al Ajillo ($16).What looks to be a small, dark restaurant from the Pitt Street entrance, dominated by the woodfire pizza oven, widens out into a larger white room, filled with animated, Spanish-speaking family groups. Following their lead, we kick things off with Ambar 1900 Pale Ale ($8.50), an easy-drinking Spanish beer.As fans of the famous Spanish black-footed pigs, we find Tabla De Embutidos ($23) hard to resist. The tabla (board) is covered with thin slices of the aforementioned jamon Iberico, Pamplona (cured, paprika-heavy sausage) and salchichon, a dry-cured, gentle, white pig sausage. With the board bearing more meat than bread, you might want to...
Encasa is an old favourite of mine. This restaurant has been the home of countless girls nights outs. I always order the potato bravas tapas. It is the best bravas I have ever tasted.
I'm not usually a big fan of pasta but when I do crave it, I visit Encasa. However, I recently went to Encasa for lunch and I was disappointed by the chef's cooking and reaction. I got the prawn penne dish. The pasta was not al dente but was rubbery and hard because it hadn't been cooked long enough. When I returned the dish, the waiter came back and said that this was how they cooked pasta. I don't believe any self respecting chef would not cook al dente pasta. I told the waiter I want my pasta cooked more. But when he came back with the pasta, the pasta was harder and dry. I believe they must have simply microwaved it. Seeing as though I had to get back to work, I didn't make a big deal out of it.
The food standard and service definitely didn't impress me last time. However seeing as though Encasa is an old favourite, I will give it another shot. The four star rating I have kept in remembrance of better food at Encasa.
I'm glad I booked for two in advance because En Casa was a full house on a Friday night!
While there was a mini wait for our table to clear, this was left in the dust when we were presented our menus (and sangria 💃🏽🍷). Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable helping us decide on tapas.
We took on his suggestion of the croquets on special, peeled kings prawns in sizzling garlic oil and chilli, beef skirt with chimichurri, and chorizo.
The croquets were creamy on the inside with a nice crumb, the beef melted in your mouth after a nice zing from the chimichurri sauce. It was also great to see the visual of the sizzling prawns as they were presented infront of us with chorizo a standard favourite.
The tapas and the service was on point at En Casa we even had the pleasure of our waiter providing complimentary dipping bread for our left over garlic chilli oil 👌🏽
Usually the highlight of my meal, our dessert of churros with chocolate sauce left us feeling disappointed. The chocolate was far too runny and the churros was all batter (rather than a fluffy centre).
En Casa still deserves top marks as everything else 'es bello'!!
Encasa has a comprehensive menu serving tapas and wood fired pizzas, dishes designed for sharing.
Highly recommended is the bravas (fried potato with aioli and tomato salsa), chorizo a la plancha (grilled Spanish sausage) and albondigas (beef meatballs with almond sauce). Expect big, bold flavours.
Dinner for four with wine came to only $120, offering great food at sensational value.
Have been here quite a few times and I am more and more amazed each time. The ambience and decor is perfect and the food, well I've never been disappointed. The Champiñones Am Ajillo and the Bravas are my favourite dishes, and a staple everytime I visit.
Been here two times now, and I have to say my memories of it are much better than the time we went recently. We ordered a few dishes - patatas bravas, lamb with chimichurri, and a southern-style fried chicken. Usually patatas bravas knocks my socks off, but these ones didn't give that same punch although they were still very nice. The lamb was very salty and I didn't like how it was red in the middle (though that is personal taste, I know a lot of people like it taht way). The chimichurri was nice though. The fried chicken was a huge let down. Wayyyy too salty, and very flabby. Usually when you make chicken like this, it shouldn't have flabs of fat on it - the skin should be nice and crispy. We also ordered a plain salad which was very basic (dressing would have been nice) and expensive. Pretty slow service too. Anyway it was pretty average, probably won't rush back any time soon.
After dozens of Bocadillas from the Deli, finally tried the restaurant. It has the same cozy feel & friendly staff - a good start.
We kept to the Tapas - everything was good without being crave-worthy. Garlic mushrooms, garlic prawns, mussels, meatballs in almond sauce, special cauliflower & cheese croquettes. Plus this toasted bread that you rub with raw garlic & tomato & sprinkle with salt & olive oil.
The sangria is toothache-sweet, and the churros had great chocolate dip but small dry & fatty churros.
$99 for two, so not cheap. Overall I enjoyed it - much better than the last tapas I had at the nearby SJY hotel - I'll be back, but the Deli is still my favorite.
Juan was a very friendly and attentive host. We were running a little late but the staff were very understanding and kept our table for us. The sangria was delicious, as was the food. Only criticism was on the paella, which had some dry seafood/prawns. However, all of our other dishes with prawns were cooked to perfection. We would definitely come again.
The interior really gives a homely, cozy sort of vibe.
Would recommend the Paella - was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend if you're craving some Spanish cuisine.
Will definitely be back!

First time trying spanish cuisine, didnt choose the wrong place. We had the beef skirt tapas, meat was tender and tasty, sauce was quite nice. Paella was great. We decided to order another tapas (the meatball with almond sauce) after we finished our meal, waited for almost 20 mins didnt come, call one of the waiter to check on it, they haven't made it, so we canceled the meatball. Service was great, just a bit disappointed with the last order that the waiter forgot to put the order through. Overall, great experience. Definitely will be back to try their other tapas.
One of the best Tapas places in CBD, total value for money !
Noisy but cozy, tasty food but not very expensive, in love with it. One requires to make a booking else you might have to wait for 90 mins. Very easy going and relaxing, must visit with friends.
These guys pretty much deliver on what you want.
Its not mind blowing, but it's equally perfect.
I don't want fancy, I want elegant. I want reliably honest good food. This is home.
Not as good as Via Alta (and. Different), but it's my second fav restaurant in Sydney.
This is one of those places I loved the first few times but then went off it. These are sandwiches that are actually more like burgers, greasy, saucy and delicious. Unfortunately, while delicious, the grease gets to you after the few times.
•A trendy Spanish tapas restaurant to hang out, great atmosphere and friendly staff
•Seafood pizza - perfectly cooked thin crispy pizza, needs a little more toppings, great pizza nonetheless
•King prawns in spicy sauce - a lot of sauce for my liking, and not enough prawns for the amount of sauce!
•BBQ octopus - slightly overcooked, a little chewy
•Lamb skewers - this was the highlight, full of flavours and nice and juicy to eat
My favourite restaurant in Sydney - loved most dishes here, especially the sizzling garlic prawns and eggplant Penne. Probably the only restaurant I don't mind smelling like food after. It's that good.
YUMMMM!
Really enjoyed this place, ordered:
- Chicken Seafood Paella
- Grilled beef skirt with chimichurri
- Pollo Pasta
- Sophia pizza
- Peeled king prawns in garlic oil
- Fried potato in aioli and spicy tomato salsa
beef skirt and bravas (fried potato) was probably the best, pasta was also very nice, everything else was good. Paella could have been more flavourful but was still good. Nice service, reservation recommended.
Paella takes a while so don't expect it to come out in 30 minutes, so order some tappas. tappas are small so don't be afraid to order more.
Absolutely love this place. The tapas are soo good. We ordered the meatballs, spainish sausage, sizzling prawns, mushrooms and potatoes bravas of course!. It was all just heaven. Service is quick and the waiters are very efficient. Corkage is pricey though but that won't stop me coming back.
Following on from our epic breakfast at Encasa Deli last Saturday and after watching a movie in the city we headed along to try Encasa Restaurant for the lunch sitting. It’s located at the Chinatown end of Pitt Street and I have walked past the place about a gazillion times over their nine years of operation but never thought of actually eating there, that is until I scored an invite to attend. So Steve and I had a Spanish tapas feast of epic proportions thanks to the amazing staff at Encasa and while I may not have made plans to attend over the last nine years I have now made plans to attend it again in the future, this place blew my culinary tastebuds off the tongue, it was just brilliant.
Been here many times ... Never disappoints me. Luv it.. Looking forward to my next visit ! The food serving was quick, staffs were friendly.
One of my favorite Spanish restaurants in Sydney. Nice atmosphere however it can get busy really quickly (recommend booking in advance).
I generally get the seafood paella and some tapas dishes. The pizza is average and wouldn't recommend coming here for that.
For the tapas, the potato bravas is fantastic. Nice and crispy on the outside and the accompanying sauce makes it a great starter. King prawns are great as well with the sizzling chilli and garlic oil.
Must try: the seafood paella is fantastic. Generous amounts of seafood with the paella nicely balanced out with the lemon and bell peppers. Tip: order 1 less serving compared to the number of people. The paella is huge and with a few tapas dishes, will more than fill you up.
Love Encasa! I've been going for a few years now, and every single time I end up having an absolute feast. Always recommend it to anyone looking for a new restaurant to try. I'm a creature of habit and I like to stick to what I know is good, so have pretty much always had the garlic prawns, bravas, and the scallops (with a few variations here and there), but they are pretty amazing so definitely recommend!
Encase was a nice restaurant which I heard from my friend. When I went to there, the place really surprised me! The most amazing thing was the Sangria, it's fruity and refreshing. The garlic prawns seasoned perfect, I can not stop eating! The largest surprise was the lamb skewers, not like the lamb skewers I ate before, the encase lamb skewers were more like "medium well ". I will be back next time.
Second time visiting here and seriously great food.. they gave us bread for free as well! How nice of them! We devoured the food. Loved how we could try so many dishes as the portions were just the right size. Great place to enjoy the company of others, get a little tipsy and be happy with delicious food! 👍
I could say that after trying a few Spanish restaurants around Sydney this is one of the best ones.
I am always a little bit sceptical about Spanish food in Sydney but I really liked it.
Tapas were delicious and the portions were quite decent.
It is a little bit pricy though.
Staff is very friendly and kind. David 👌
I'll be back for sure.
Nice restaurant
This Spanish themed restaurant in Asian restaurant dominated Chinatown is a breath of fresh air. The food and drinks menus are lovely, the service is friendly but somehow the food just isn't as amazing as it could be!
We had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday here. Great food and attentive staff.
