Beautiful dining room, sultry mood lighting. We start with the scallops - plump, flavoursome. Then the burrata with figs. So good. Then 6 x oysters with Chardonnay vinaigrette.

Then the wagyu flatiron - remarkable. Then the toothfish - spectacular! Accompanied with Mac/cheese, potato purée, and fattoush. The sides were a perfect backdrop for the main attraction. Ably washed down by a wonderful chambolle.

We finish with tarte Tatin and 3 x sorbets.

The exquisite detail and focus on purity of expression was world class.

Absolutely stunning service from Prateek! Ordered the scallop entree, the chef’s selection wagyu tasting plate, and the creme brûlée. The steak was flawless, dessert was delicious and the staff even surprised us with an extra celebratory dessert as it was a special occasion! Thank you to everyone, especially Prateek for making our evening such a special one.

Elegant venue with good service, great if in the mood for quality meat and not on a tight budget.

Started off with the delicate kingfish ceviche we then ordered a grass fed angus ribeye, a scotch and sides of potato mash, fries and mushroom and herbs pie.

The steaks were cooked to perfection and had enough fat which gave the meat a rich flavour. The sides were also of a high standard, the potato mash was buttery and tasty, the fries fluffy and crispy.

This was really very, very good. We asked if they could accommodate pre-theatre, 75 mins. They were prompt, paid attention to timings but we didn't feel rushed. Food was perfectly prepared from the pre-dinner menu, I had the steak, dining companions had the lamb and barramundi. All were excellent. Tasmanian sparkling rose was also dry as per waiters recommendation. For the quality and service I thought it was reasonable - not cheap, but I would rather eat here then the very overpriced food court for not much more.

Have been dining here for years now - I love this restaurant. Really nice ambience especially for a date night and service is always amazing.

For cold seafood - I love the oysters and hiramasa kingfish
Scallop entree is also delicious

For mains I usually order David Blackmore Fullblood Wagyu MBS9+. The wagyu tasting works out to be a bit better value for money ($195 for 600g) and is great to share as you get to try the flat iron, skirt and flank but if you're just going for 1 cut I would definitely recommend the flat iron ($86 for 200g)

As for their sides, I love them all!! It is a choice of 3 for $30. My personal favourites are the potato puree, chips, mac & cheese and mushroom ragout

I'm not a huge fan of the desserts here. I've tried their signature Chocolate dessert which looks good for an Instagram video but doesn't taste amazing. Didn't really enjoy their strawberry souffle either. The creme brulee was nice but I don't really think you can go wrong with creme brulee anywhere

Overall one of my favourite restaurants to dine in Sydney

My partner got the steak here whilst I decided to go for the mushroom risotto. We both really enjoyed our mains, both dishes cooked well and of a high quality. Steak tartare was also tasty. Was it worth the high price tag? Debateable, as I feel there are places where you could get a meal that is just as good but cheaper, but overall still not bad.

lovely spot at the casino. The views are awesome.

The wine list was the highlight for me - great collection.

Been here 3 times already and each time was wonderful! This is the place for one of best steaks! Service was prompt and efficient, food came out in a timely matter and the atmosphere was really nice. The wagyu tasting platter was so delicious! It just melts in your mouth and has wonderful flavour - you really don’t need sauce. The sides were delicious - the mash was nice, creamy and buttery, the fattoush salad gave the overall dish some freshness! Definitely will be back again :)

BLACK instantly became one of my favourite Sydney fine dining places, mostly because I actually walked feeling so stuffed and felt it was actually worth our money. We ordered the Ribeye to share, King Prawns and 3 sides - Mac & cheese, eggplant and mushrooms. The steak was so perfectly cooked and so filling between the two of us. It came with a variety of sauces which nicely accompanied the meat and let us test out different combos! The eggplants were very smoked out so a bit bitter for my liking. The mac and cheese was a bit disappointing, and mushrooms were ok! The King Prawns were amazing but very pricey! Overall, amazing experience and I can’t wait to come back for more! Next time I probably won’t order 3 sides though.

This is by far one of the best fine dining restaurants in Sydney that I have been to. The staff service is impeccable and every dish we ordered was full of unique and amazing flavours. The kingfish was to die for! Must order! The lamb loin was so good, it was served with smoked labneh which is something I have never had before, but oh so yummy 😋 the steak was 10/10 and their bearnaise sauce was so deliciously buttery! Little bit on the expensive side but worth the food experience!

This restaurant is beautiful, warm and welcoming as is the waiting staff. The menu is delicious and meat focused given it’s a ‘grill’ but there are vegetarian options. It is, however, a bit pricey and probably more geared international visitors given the location. #blackbarandgrill

Fantastic ... The Wagyu Rump was to die for .. The atmosphere was pleasant and children friendly (There were plenty). As a walk in non reservation, the staff had warmly greeted and accommodated me. I did notice children disappearing after bedtime hour and the emergence of the nouveaux generation, no doubt a testament to the sophistication of the establishment. Highly recommended.

My second time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint ! You get a complimentary brioche bread which was so fluffy and buttery.
All dishes were a 5/5 for me. The meats were juicy and tender and the sauces provided complimented so well for its respective dish. Im not a big fish lover but the dish we ordered was really tasty . A little on the pricey side however definitely worth your money !!

We had oysters, scotch steak, lamb loin, caviar, and sides of Mac & cheese ;) , eggplant and broccolini. Food is ok for the price. We did expect it to be better. But then again, everyone has different palate, so could very well just be us. That aside, ambience was good, not noisy. We are glad the table next to us is a fair distance away. However, service was top notch, which earn them stars. Waitress was very friendly and everyone, including the cook accommodating and attentive which made the evening very pleasant.

I have been here so many times and they never fail to impress.

My highlight has always been the mushroom side which reminds me of a soft creamy pie you would fantasise during childhood - with only all the good parts. This nostalgia is what brings me back time after time again

I will be happy to upload photos the next time I order this again

Food here is excellent. We ordered two sides; green beans and mushroom ragu and two steaks to share. Its great that they ask if youre sharing so they cut up and portion it for you.

The complimentary brioche is also amazing and soft, and something not typical from other restaurants.

Second time here and I cannot fault! Great customer service, nice location and yummy food 😋

I would recommend their wagyu tasting board and their tomato salad. Also the Mac & cheese and mushroom sides were good.

The only thing dishes I didn’t really enjoy were the brioche bread that they gave at the start (would have preferred traditional/authentic bread like sourdough) and (surprisingly) the chocolate ganache ball. It looked great but just too rich and too much chocolate for me... but the free gold specked complimentary orange cake they gave me made up for it!!

Went with my family for Christmas Eve. The food was absolutely delicious and the waiters were very knowledgeable about the meat and dishes (one could even recite the ingredients to each of the sauces). Ate way too much of the bread they gave us but it was nice. Definitely recommend the fillet as it is very lean and melt in the mouth while other meats are a bit tougher to chew especially if left to be cold :/ Also note that the meat is served in small portions (cut into tasting sizes where you dip in different sauces to try). Surprisingly really enjoyed the unusual combination of flavour in the lobster tail entree. I know this is a fancy restaurant but I really enjoyed the simple sides of mashed potato, chips and macaroni a lot. The view is also beautiful by the window. The only sad part is coming during a busy period where we had a time limit to eat before the next guests, meaning I couldn’t order dessert :( On the pricier side but worth it for a treat (I think there’s value in a restaurant’s atmosphere, service and view)

Excellent food! Went here a week ago for my anniversary and ordered the $80 ‘pre theatre’ 3 course menu. Good value for the quality of food we received, and I had the best cocktail of my life. I chose oysters, fillet, fresh berries and a side of mash. Minus 1 star for the decor, I find it a little out dated, and the view is disrupted by buildings. However apart from that, worth a visit in my books!

Celebrated my birthday here and it also happened to be my first time dining here! It’s a very stylish and up market restaurant with exceptional service. The dining area also looks out to views of the darling harbour and cityscape so it’s lovely to dine at.

For starters we ordered:
• Oysters $5 each
• Beef Tartare $29
• 3 sides to share - mac and cheese, cos lettuce salad, and mushroom ragout $27
• Mushroom sauce $5
And we were given complimentary bread and butter!

For mains, we ordered:
• Gnocchi Semolina $34
• Quail $44
• Fillet grass fed angus, 200g Gippsland, VIC $49
• Scotch grass fed angus MBS 3+, 300g Gippsland, VIC $56

For dessert, we ordered:
• Chocolate warm couverture ganache, cookie crumble, cherry, coconut sorbet $23
And because it was my birthday, they also gave a small slice of complimentary cake which was super sweet of them! Not too sure exactly what it was, but it tasted like an orange-poppyseed cake.

No faults in any dish or service. This has easily become a favourite fine dining place for me personally and I will definitely be coming back! :)

I came in for their recommendations which was their crisp farm egg and their wagyu tasting platter. The egg was nice and light but wasn’t the highlight of the spread. I can honestly say the steak was THE BEST STEAK I’ve ever had! The meat was in small pieces and I thought to my self I won’t get full from it but I was soo full I was trying to force it down. Service, dessert and oysters were delightful to add. Solid A+ and would recommend for any occasion

The night from start to end was really amazing. Started off with the Negroni & Modern Traveller. Had some nibbles of beef jerky, olives and some crab remoulade on squid ink cracker. The brioche bread was served with Pepe Saya butter and sea salt. For entree, was the prawn Spencer gulf and Hiramasa Kingfish. For mains, The Ribeye and fillet, both cooked to perfection, to go with sides of potato puree, chips, mac & cheese and green beans. For desserts, we got the Creme Brule & signature dessert - chocolate gnache! Thank you Team Black for making our dining experience such a memorable one. Totally recommend this restaurant for a lovely steak meal with friends or family

I visited this place for my birthday and I left very satisfied and happy. The waitress Julia, was very informative of the different types of beef and provided very good suggestions.

For entree, I ordered oysters and the charcuterie board & for main I ordered the flat iron Wagyu, suggested by Julia. It was the star of the night, the meat was tender. however it was a tad salty for my liking. For the dessert I ordered the creme brûlée & chocolate done, a great finisher for the night.

Overall, very pleased with the service and quality of food. However, I found it quite strange that even though I had booked a table for 8pm, I had to wait for my table to be ready. I am not sure since it was the Father's Day weekend that it was busy, this is usually not a common occurrence with other fine dining venues

Came here for my brothers 21st birthday. We had an amazing waiter and great service, they treated us super nicely (even though we were 20-30 mins late - my fault!!) one of my friends kept recommending this restaurant to me for their steak so we decided to give it a try. Great choice! Steak was incredibly delicious and I loved the mushroom sauce on the side. My family seemed to love their dishes too. We even loved the free brioche bread that came out before our meals - they handmade it and it came out extremely warm and delicious! The waiter even gave us an extra one because we gobbled the first one up so quickly. My brother got a special dessert treat and we found out that it was actually the waiter’s birthday too... good thing we tipped him! Ended the night with a goodie bag of complementary free sauces... this is a place I definitely want to come back to and tell all my friends about. Will be back soon!!

We were at Black Bar & Grill for their Seafood & Champagne lunch, running every Saturday & Sunday, until the 30th of September. For $140 a beautiful, seasonal Australian Seafood tower for 2 is served. With 2 hours of bottomless Moet & Chandon Champagne. To say that we left very MERRY is a giant understatement.

Boyfiend booked BLACK to celebrate my birthday. We arrived a little early and had a cocktail at the bar, all I rem was that it had moscato foam and I was definitely impressed. We ordered the 1kg wagyu steak and 3 sides being chips, fatoush salad and roasted cauliflower. Absolutely enjoyed the hell out of that steak! It just melted in your mouth, wish it could have been kept hot in some way because of its size haha. Chips were fantastic in fact I'd go as far as saying perfect but the other 2 were a little disappointing. The cauliflower especially seemed to be a little off so we basically left it untouched. Almost forgot the best part which is that you get bread with butter but it's not just any bread, its brioche! If you're a brioche lover like me you'll love this little tweak.

The service here is amazing. Black is one of the only restaurants I've been to that have perfected the humble steak. Well worth the wait.
The atmosphere in here is very welcoming and relaxing.
Started off with a really soft, warm brioche loaf with butter and black salt, then the king prawns and oysters. All amazing.
Then the angus fillet and Wagyu flank. No words.
The 5 sauces were a nice addition.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes that we ordered. I would recommend the scallops and hiramasa king fish for starters and the striploin for the main course. The meat was so juicy and well cooked! The only criticism would be the service at the start of the evening - they took forever to come and get our order.

My husband and I were watching a show at Lyric theatre so we made dinner reservation at Black after reading some good reviews. When we walked in, the service from all the staff were friendly and professional.

We were seated at the window which had a nice view but the overall ambience of the restaurant was nice and romantic with the dimmed lights.

Their complementary brioche bread was delicious and I wish it was bigger! With their different menus, we finally decided to order from the pre theatre menu and I chose their oysters to start and grass fed Angus fillet which was cooked as requested but my husbands flat iron wagyu MBS 9+ was even better and worth the $20 supplement. He tried their prawns for his entree and we both really enjoyed their chocolate dessert which was theatrical with the warm ganache being poured over the chocolate dome that contained hazelnut mousse, amarena and cherry sorbet. I wished we ordered two instead of sharing one.

I would definitely come back for their steaks again.

I’ve heard so much good things about Black! I came here for lunch and excited to try the steak here. For entree we ordered the beef sashimi which was hella good. For mains we had the steak which was cooked medium rare and the pork. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the pork as much as the steak. If you come here you got to try the fries. Highlight of my night! The Mac and cheese was also really nice, very premium. When we got the the dessert, I was extremely full. I did enjoy the cherry chocolate dessert. The chocolate was tempered beautifully.

We came here for husband's birthday. The wagu ribs that I ordered as well done was still very tender. Husband's medium rare wagu streak (so called the best steak in the world) was also good. Also he had a little suprice birthday cake as well, which was a nice compliment from the restaurant. However, we both prefer the steaks at rockpool. The steaks here seem lacking that burned bit on the outside. We like that black char grill flavour (although unhealthy) that we always get at rockpool.

Black Bar and Grill is restaurant situated in The Star serving the finest steakhouse cuisine with views of Darling Harbour. It is famous for serving “The World’s Best Steak” and for its high quality Angus and Wagyu beef and fresh seafood. We came here for my mum’s birthday and will share our experience in this post.

Service for a Wednesday night was unusually non-existent. We arrived and waited 15 minutes to order. We then waited 45 minutes between entree and main. And as we approached the 2hour mark and as the crowd began to clear, we still had to wait for the dessert menu,and our table waiter to a long time to take our dessert order. We had waited too long,the kids started getting impatient and we called it a night. This is so unlike the usual service that are accustomed to at Black.
However, the saving grace was the food. Flavours were imaginative and sophisticated. The tooth fish was especially notable. The side dishes were expectedly complementary.

From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere and the whole experience, it is safe to say I would recommend trying out black. It is great in a group as you get to try more things, but it is also a nice for a one on one dinner. I've tried the;

- Oysters (chilled, freshly opened with an AMAZING red wine vinegar and shallot dressing)- I can easily demolish half a dozen of these... the dressing is outstanding!

- Charcuterie board with fioe gras brulee, house made chutney and grilled sourdogh which is my personal FAVOURITE menu item. Could graze on this all night long

- Gnocchi with exotic mushrooms, broccolini, truffled pecorino and brown butter dressing- wasn't a massive fan of this dish to be completely honest. It wasn't as flavoursome as I would have expected

- Grill tasting plate (pork loin, lamb rack, wagy beef 620g)- the meat was nice with the selection of sauces they provide, but I feel like it was quite a small serving

- The fig salad with buffalo mozzarella, duck ham, candied walnut, bitter leaves and balsamic dressing- personally really enjoyed this

We also tried about 9 sides. Each of them were so different, but so delicious at the same time. My favourites were the mac and cheese, the potato and the creamed spinach. So flavoursome!! All in all, would recommend getting all fancy and heading down for a night of good food, drinks & it's even better in good company :)

Beautiful and intimate venue. Efficient service. Can't say our waitress was the friendliest but anyhow. We came here as a group of 8. We all ordered steaks. I went for the fillet with bearnaise sauce. I've never eaten a steak like it in my life! It actually was the best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and so juicy. Beautifully seasoned. The sides were a good size. The only criticism I have is their wine list. It's pages and pages long and the prices are exorbitant ie. Maybe 3 bottles of red under $80 and then the prices HIKE into the hundreds and thousands! I think a shorter wine list with more reasonably priced options would have made me give a 5. All in all though, a beautiful restaurant and I'd definitely come here again for a special occasion.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW JUST WOW. This is my fave dining experience in Sydney to date and one of the most divine meals of my life.
Black has a dark moody ambience which makes you feel like you're in a swanky casino movie, and sparkling city views looking over Darling Harbour. The service is exceptional, and it's the perfect venue for a celebratory occasion or if you just want to treat yourself. We went to enjoy the new truffle menu being featured across most of The Star's restaurants. Here's what was on offer in order of appearance:
- beef jerky. A tasty snack to start.
- brioche loaf served with butter and Hawaiian black lava salt. So soft and buttery.
- Entree: pan fried scallops served with chestnut cream, bacon, apple and truffle salad. I'm not usually a huge fan of scallops but they were cooked to perfection and the chestnut cream sauce is the most divine and rich thing I have ever tasted.
- Main: filet of grass fed Angus steak, Yorkshire pudding, foie gras, smoked potato and shaved truffle. The most perfectly cooked steak, and those truffle shavings mmmmm. Also had a side of béarnaise sauce, and Mac n cheese coz why not haha. The Mac n cheese had a delicious crispy breadcrumb topping and inside was so cheesy!
- Dessert: 1. The famous melting chocolate ball, a theatrical experience! Out comes a perfect chocolate sphere, and then over it is poured the most decadent chocolate ganache that melts away the sphere to reveal banana ice cream and delicious peanuts. One of the best desserts I've ever tasted.
2. Creme brûlée with Jerusalem artichoke and truffle ice cream. This one was interesting! The brûlée was pure smoothness and I liked the artichoke flavour. The ice cream was also quite nice and the crispy pieces of fried artichoke was a nice touch!

And that my friends was a whole lot of food! An exquisite dining experience and I could not recommend more!

Have come here for dinner and for lunch, so below review based on the two experiences.

Lovely location near the water in Pyrmont, so if you get a wall/window-side table during the day you'll have a nice view.

Decor is nice, very unique to the restaurant, you won't see the same decor in other places. The round booths are nice to create a more 'private' feel.

Menu is towards the more reasonably priced end of the spectrum for a fine dining restaurant. However the food is also fairly average compared to other restaurants, no spectacular or standout dishes.

Service is okay. Not bad, not amazing, just fine. They take your order, bring you your food then bring you your bill.

Overall, this restaurant is okay. Not horrible, not great, just okay

Impeccable and prompt service! Every staff we came across was lovely that night. Definitely a 5 star!
Nice view overlooking pyrmont bay!
About the food: The brioche bun smells so good. The chestnut cream went really well with scallops. Beef fillet cooked just right! Make sure to save some room for the Chocolate dessert! It won't disappoint you!

Black Bar and grill, formally Black by Ezard at the star has prime location, looking out at Darling Harbour and the Sydney cityscape. Perfect for a meal before a show at the Lyric theatre, which is just what we did. We saw The Bodyguard, with Paulini playing the starring role along side Kip Gamblin as the bodyguard. A top show with some Whitney Houston classics with some dance ensembles. Highly recommended!

Love this place! The oysters, the charcuterie board & suckling pig were my favourites.
Tried some of the cocktails and all were incredible - the velvet martini was the best though.
The service here is fantastic and I highly recommend visiting, as you will not be disappointed :)

A Sydney fine dining experience that is worth every cent! The service staff are all great and the views of the harbour are a lovely compliment to your meal. The complimentary bread is one of the best in Sydney. The steaks are perfectly cooked and from the sides, be sure to order the mac and cheese (my favourite). The chocolate ball for dessert is also a must simply because it's such an amazing creation!

Visited on the 5/3, definitely left an impression on us as it was one of the better dining experiences I've had. Ordered the charcuterie board, 2 steaks & 3 sides. The spinach side wasn't that great but mac & cheese & fries were amazing! Service was great, our waiter has convinced us to come back again. :)

I took my boyfriend here for dinner on his21st birthday as a surprise. The food and service here is amazing! I requested a table with a nice view and if they could write happy birthday on his small cake. The view was really nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly that night. They give you a complimentary, French bread (don't remember what it was called) with butter - a lovely way to start of the night.We ordered 3 different entrees and they were outstanding. For main, we ordered the Grilled Tasting and it was so worth the money. We got beautifully cooked, succulent pieces of three different meats. They came with about 5 different sauces to try, so make sure you don't blow $5 on some more. They also gave him a complimentary ginger lemon treacle cake like I requested and he's claimed that it's the best one he's had before! (And that's his favourite cake). I guess if I were to find one complaint, it's that the cake was sample sized but can't really complain about that much because it was free! Thank you for a good night :)

Perfect venue for an intimate catch up with friends. Started off the night with the charcuterie, featuring both spicy and non-spicy, soft cured meats, centred with foie gras brulee and grilled bread. The grilled lobster tail was tender although at $46 felt a bit over priced for it's size. The farm egg crisp with jamon and herb salad was wonderfully rich. 

All four in our party ordered steaks (grain-fed wagyu, angus scotch fillet and grass fed angus fillets) for our mains and each steak was faultless; the fact that no one thought of sharing a small taste of their steak with the group illustrates how happy we all were with it! Chips were nice and crunchy, well seasoned with rosemary and parmesan with a hint of garlic. The asparagus were plump and had a nice bite. The mushrooms weren't that exciting. 

Huge selection of wines available. Grab a window-side table and enjoy the view; you might get lucky as we did and enjoy some fireworks along the city skyline too.

Black never disappoints. Recently we had our Christmas lunch here with 17 of us. The service didn't miss a beat. Steak is always good and the beef tartare and oysters unreal.

Last minute early dinner booking meant we were the first through the door at nana o'clock... i.e. 5:30pm. The seating was a little less than smooth. They took a few minutes to find our booking and there was some confusion with which table we were meant to be seated at but once that was all cleared up the rest of the service was smooth and our waitress was absolutely lovely - enjoyed a good chat. The meal was good. Steaks were cooked well, though perhaps needed a little more resting time before plated. Personally, I think Rockpool (in Melbourne) cook a better steak but this was still a good steak... just not $78 good for my ration fed wagyu which was apparently the chefs signature steak. Had mash and sugar peas for sides (both delicious) and the complimentary sauces were great. The mushroom sauce was also quite good albeit a little runny. The desserts! Oh my... YUM. My partner and I were very sad when the desserts ended. Enough said.

So I made a reservation for my birthday and got there on time but was told my table wasn't ready. So we sat at the bar for 20 minutes, which I felt was abit long.

Anyways, the service was incredible, they recommended a red wine that went so well with the food. The steaks we had were perfectly cooked but I made a mistake by ordering the skirt cut wagyu which was thin and abit tough. So that wasn't very pleasing to eat.

I would definitely go back though. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the other steaks that I tried were beautiful.

Ordered:
1. Scotch grass fed Angus- I ordered medium well and it was cooked perfectly. I love the complementary sauces, especially the chimichurri, it goes so well with the steak.
2. Rice pudding with mango sorbet- amazing refreshing desert that's not too sweet and heavy
3. The complimentary brioche bread was too sweet and heavy, would be perfect if it was normal bread with butter
4. Three side dishes:
Snap peas- crunchy and lovely
Asparagus - average
Mashed potatoes- creamy and good

Would I go back: yes, free parking is a bonus

Wonderful food and warm hospitality in a plush, moodily lit environs. Top notch grill house serving quality steaks, with complimentary condiments including chimichurri, horseradish cream, steak sauce, harissa and dijon mustard. The meal commenced with the most delicious buttery, brioche bread loaf, served warm with butter and black salt, and finished with an unexpected pairing of vanilla rice pudding and mango sorbet dessert to finish.

Usually come here for Champagne Sundays so the food I am familiar with. Service is fine although tonight my Perrier Joët Balson Rosé came out not as a rosé and I had to ask that a champagne not a white wine glass be placed ready for my wine. Food was delicious though and we were readily taken as a walk in with no fuss. The octopus and scallop entrees were really lovely as were the mains on spinach pasta with Alaskan crab and John Dory with cauliflower.

This contemporary restaurant is broodingly handsome, moodily lit with friendly, efficient & knowledgeable service & beautifully presented & delicious food. The complimentary brioche loaf is delicious, warm & wafting with a rich butteriness when it lands on the table. The dishes are all beautifully plated & modern with great flavours. The steaks had an interesting texture from being sous vide first before finishing on the chargrill. Loved the taste & theatrics of dessert with the hot, rich chocolate ganache being poured at the table. Petit fours are a nice finish to a great evening.

Chinese style seafood and Peking duck. I’m still drooling thinking about these dishes that I grew up eating. Though a bit pricey and service is not on a high standard, the nostalgia hits too hard for me to focus on anything else but the food. Though extremely flavourful be prepared to drink lots of water all night due to the magic ingredient most Asian restaurants use.

The food was great and a wonderful option for us when we stayed at The Star. It's external location at The Star alongside the light rail and carpark adds to its convenience and less hustle and bustle relative to the options inside The Star.

Great Chinese food inside the Star Casino. The menu reads like a novel and it takes a long time to choose your dishes. The wine menu is also massive and has some great wines.
