Food : Superb!! Steaks were done perfectly - nice char marks on the outside and blushing pink inside. Would be nice if they were a little warmer tho - the plates were cold (not pre-warmed) when they arrived at the table. The charcuterie platter was delicious, loved the duck liver parfait and the nduja salami was super spicy but right up my alley!
Service : Sometimes great, sometimes it felt like we were ignored. Took a long while to catch someone's eye to get our bill and then even getting it and paying cash was a bit of a palava. That said, the lady manager (not in uniform) was really nice.
Conclusion : Yes, I would recommend it and yes, I will be back!

I came here after having been here 7 years ago then I moved to Melbourne, now visiting Sydney I had to come back. The mud crab I ate tonight was full of meat, so fresh and juicy in a beautiful Singaporean chilli flavour, while I like it hotter generally the flavour was so good I didn't mind. Last night we took advantage of The Fork Festival and we ate at Kingsleys Woolloomooloo. The Singapore Chilli Mud Crab (pictured) was ridiculously messy but so so good. Other highlights for me were the Alaskan Snow Crab Croquettes (pictured) and the Salt & Szechuan Pepper Cuttlefish (pictured). The desserts were delightful and the Creme Brûlée (pictured) was the best I have ever eaten. #kingsleys
The steak was yummy but missing the wow factor for a wagyu rump 6+ marbling. For entree we had a mix of seafood which was alright but the duck pate is fantastic in the cold plate.
Affogato was a great finish to the meal.
All in all a good experience and the food was descent. It’s a good place to luncheon with nice view and service.

Their specialities are quality grade steaks, however have a great menu to select from if you wanted to opt for seafood, burgers and other condiments. This place is amazing every single time we go. Been going here for the last 3 years. The wagyu is amazing when cooked medium as it has a high marbling score. The oysters are cold and fresh. Free bread is also a score! =]

The food was top quality, best steak I have ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection.

I booked Kingsleys for my husbands 38th bday and all I requested was a nice table. I can say that we not only got a nice table but amazing service, fantastic food, beautiful environment, which made the night just that more special, thank you Kingsleys.
I highly recommend this place if you want a great steak. My husband had the massive 650g and I had the sirloin, both amazing. For entee we had sashimi and oysters, the sashimi was amazing!
At the end of the night we shared a desert and it came out with a birthday candle which was not requested, but was a great surprise. It's the little things that go along way!
If you get a chance to read one of my other review on fine dining restaurants, specifically on Catalina, Kingsleys can teach Catalina a few things. We dealt with 1 waiter, not over 10 like Catalina.
All in all, I would go again and again and have recommended Kingsleys to many many friends!

Went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. For the starter, I had calamari which was nice but not special. The steak was okay but what I love the most is their dessert! The creme brulee was really good. Perhaps, its the best creme brulee I've ever had. Really recommended👌🏼
Nice meal and good steak. Had the wagu sirloin and though it was good but not the best I've had, just lacked something. An expensive meal which was nice as the location is good and food was good, but I've had better steaks for less money.
Kingsley would make vegetarians cry but carnivores start growling in anticipation. I really liked the sketch of a cow sitting looking shocked at a book and the caption was "the moment he realised h wasn't looking at a family album"
Are the garlic prawns and rib eye, creamed spinach. Cooked how I requested which is not always the way it happens at steak houses.
Shared the Tajima steak with a friend, lucky I was being polite otherwise I would have devoured the whole thing alone! It beautifully cooked, the fat was rendered & the meat was oh so juicey! We also had Alaskan King Crab, another winner winner crab for dinner!! 😄😄
Woolloomooloo is a dynamic place! A row of high end restaurants with harbour view. You will have good photos of sculpture if you go there during a sunny day. Kingsleys serves high quality steak and crab with really amazing chilly sauce. I was impressed by the sauce which I thought of pack up home. I will surely come back for the crab!
This used to be my favourite restaurant but I hadn't been in years. No signs of decline though, even the staff seemed attentive and friendly (which I was worried about given a few recent reviews). The steaks are still some of the best in Australia - there's a range of steaks but the eye fillet perfectly shows the tender meaty taste of good Australian grass-fed beef. The steaks are expensive but there are plenty of places now charging just as much for inferior steaks They also don't come with anything except sauce, but the sides and salads are usually large enough to share. On a sunny day, the waterside location makes for a great afternoon out.
Very good food and great service. Portions are ok. Chips were a bit overlooked and greasy. Nice place for a quite lunch. Definitely recommend it v

Kingsley's is one of the best steakhouses you will find in Sydney. I went here for my father's birthday and it was a memorable dining experience. In summary, the food and ambiance was amazing but the service was a little slow.
We started off with some salad and calamari for the entrees which were both amazing. Portions were small but definitely the 'quality over quantity' principle is evident here. For the mains, we ordered a variety of steak cuts: ribeye, new york strip, and filet mignon. For myself, I ordered the ribeye steak with two pieces of bone marrow on the side. The steak was cooked beautifully as requested to medium rare and the bone marrow had an incredible flavour. Moreover, the side dishes we ordered were: salad, potato gratin, steakhouse chips, salad, and the beans. They were all stunning but the steakhouse chips was just beyond any chips that I have ever tasted.
Seriously this place is pricey but it's truly worth it. A nice place to go for a special occasion like a birthday and I will definitely come back here again in the future.

Divine spot for a long lunch. Perfectly cooked tender pieces of meat. Generous side portions. Great long wine list with solid lower budget options. Extremely helpful and friendly wait staff.
Genetics is a funny thing. As regular readers would know, the Marito is a vegacquarian. I’ve never been a big meat eater, and even less so since we’ve been married. Yet our progeny are two of the biggest carnivores I’ve ever come across. A slab of expertly cooked meat and a side of green beans is one of their ideal meals. So it was no surprise when I asked where they wanted to go for lunch for their birthday that they suggested a steakhouse. Being spring, I thought Woolloomoloo would be very pleasant for an outdoor waterside meal, and Kingsley’s it was. I thought then, it was only fair, that they write up their thoughts on our experience. I would only add that the service was excellent, with extremely attentive and friendly staff.
Great place for an upmarket steak. Steak is 1st class. Service is professional. Never had a bad meal here. Seafood is fresh and what you would expect from a fine dining establishment
Nice view but annoying location! The food was great, steak goes well with marrow and its cooked perfectly. Crab legs was tender and flavourful with the taste of fresh sea.
The staff was amazing and friendly also offer advice for the flavour combinations and drinks. Beautiful place but hard to get to because theres no parking or public transfort besides taxi ! 😃 Until next time .... keep eating!!!!!!

Great seafood plates.. We went there to enjoy the seafood & crab menu. Unfortunately they run out of crab, which is a shame for a crab house. But all the other plates were delicious. Their cuisine respect the delicate aroma and flavour characteristics of seafood, not deep frying everything, but instead being creative with ingredients that implement the sea flavour.
Pretty damn satisfying steak. It came out thinner than I had expected, but still retained enough juice and was close to being perfectly cooked.

The venison chorizo was a tasty sliver of salty cured goodness while the sweetcorn puree was a creamy touch that bound it all together.

At the risk of you inferring cash for comment, I'm going to let slip that John Laws and his third wife, Caroline, dined at the table next to mine. They dine here every Monday night; and order steak and chips each time. So it might not be surprising that despite the double-barrelled name, my Angus Eye Fillet ($45.90/300g) comes up trumps? Chef David Kim (ex-Wildfire) cooked it slowly as I cracked into a kilo of Queensland Mud Crab ($69.50) , Singapore Chilli style. The crab was well handled, with a compelling (if not totally authentic) sauce. (It made me wish I'd saved some of the yummy Sonoma bread to scoop it up with!) My steak, medium-rare all the way through, arrived with a wicked veal jus. Deciding between that and the cracking Béarnaise ($2.50) was torture; worsened because I had to try the Habanero Relish ($2.50) too. The latter being more horseradish than heat. Not too long ago, Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse created a special bloggers dinner which featured a four course meal with matched wines. I've had a not so impressive experience at Kingsleys St
Very good service. Went there for a 3rd time.. ordered the pepper coated kangaroo. it was nice meat, however they made an error and didnt pepper coat it. when i was asked how it was, i mentioned i thought it would have pepper, after checking they realised their error and asked if i wanted it re made, i said its okay and she brought out the pepper coating for me which i mixed in, they also then told me they would give us both free desert and also gave my mate and i a coffee. the kangaroo was delicious with the pepper coating on the side.
really appreciate the service, appreciated the kangaroo as it was still delicious and will definitely be going back again soon.

Rare to be so very well done!. Four of my colleagues from throughout Australia met up at Kinglsey’s in August for a great steak. Even during a cold August evening the Restaurant was fully booked. They found a table on the wharf near an outdoor heater. Although the heater could not stay alight, we managed to keep warm enough to enjoy a perfect steak.
I had my favourite cut, a Rib Eye (Scotch) medium rare. It was crusty on top, juicy, sweet and perfectly cooked. Perfect. The waiter convinced the other four guests to try a Striploin (NY Cut). They all loved it. They were all cooked differently and yet everyone was happy with their meal. Said it was full of flavor and delicious. Great Job Kingsley’s.
Just had dinner there. The rib eye was amazing and the bearnaise sauce was great with it. The potato gratin was beautifully made and was a perfect accompaniment with the steak. The only thing I found to be disappointing was the bone marrow: very garlic-y. Despite that, I would easily come back for another steak. Oh, for dessert, I got the semi freddo. Delicious but a little bit too sweet and that is coming from someone who has a massive sweet tooth. :P

A great evening. We had such a great night here. Cocktails, then seafood, then steaks and dessert. All of it was great quality, particularly the dessert. Friendly but unobtrusive service.
Not bad. Service was pretty good, food was good although I am still yet to find somewhere that can beat Cha Cha Char in Brisbane when it comes to steak.

Superb Meal - Great Service. I booked a team Christmas meal last friday and was greeted by a friendly staff member who took us to our table. The waiting staff were attentive and nice. I booked the set menu meal with 3 hour drinks package, which was excellent value. First came the starters, which were tasty (oysters, charcuterie board), which was well presented. Most of us had steaks (Ribeye with soft shell crab) which was cooked to perfection and a perfect piece of steak. The dessert was equally as well presented. All in all a great meal at a perfect location. Kingsleys is a place that doesn't try to get you to buy extras unless you want to do so. I would recommend Kingsleys to anyone looking for a great steak at a great location. Thank you Kingsleys!!!!
Enjoyed our dinner. The service wasn't quite right and unfortunately the men's toilets were not adequately kept clean. The steaks were to quality, the mash potatoes smooth and creamy, the green beans delicious and the chips were ok a little soggy. Will be back, have had better service on previous occasions.

Great steaks!. This is only my second time here but both times I really enjoyed the steaks. I couldn't go past the eye fillet with the soft shell crab and this was cooked perfectly. My family all enjoyed their steaks and the chimichurri sauce is a must! We had the chips and greens as our sides and we were too full to try any of their desserts. Service tonight was much better than the first time we visited and we will be back!

Been here a few times, each time it's been great, service very professional, steaks are great but the best is the Mud Crab and Alaskan King Crab delicious. great wine selection and desserts are great. Location is fabulous, I recommend Saturday or Sunday lunch as the location is gorgeous.
I liked this place but doubt I will ever return. The service was pretty poor. I like my wait staff to know about all the dishes so when I ask for details they know the answer. Especially in an expensive restaurant like this one. Our waiter was sweet but didn't know his stuff. Word of warning don't waste your money on their cocktails. We ordered one each and didn't bother finishing them. The food was pretty good but nothing to rave about. The parsnips were tasty. I didn't not like this place but didn't love it either
My partner and I went for our anniversary dinner. Can't recommend this place enough. The waitstaff were attentive, the food was simply excellent (I had the scallops and the eye fillet with chimmichurri), and the cocktails just capped off a truly lovely evening.
Gourmet "surf & turf" with views. Just had a sublime steak tartare. Meat was so tender it just melted in the mouth. Mouth filling flavour just made for a cold 4 Pines beer. For main, had the chilled Alaskan crab claws - fantastic. Clean and sweet flavour that went well with that second beer. My companions had the eye fillet which was perfectly cooked and tender. Unlike so many places that depend on their location, the view onto the water was just a lovely backdrop to excellent food. The staff were friendly, attentive & efficient. Now on my list of best places to eat when visiting Sydney.
I had the 600g chilled Alaskan King Crab washed down with a couple of ice cold coronas and if I die tomorrow I'll die happy.....absolutely sensational and the little Irish waitress was a trouper!
Starting to lose a bit of its shine for me, what was one of our favorite resturants for the last few years I think we'll start for another regular. We at there yesterday and service was average, food was ok and they add a donation to the bill. Most people won't say anything and pay it even though they don't want to. Leaves a bit of a bad taste!
Can't go past the crab. Went on a Saturday night, ordered the calamri for entree was so tender loved each bite Yummy!!!. For main I couldn't go past the chilli crab OMG what a treat it was cooked to perfection and each mouthful was delicious. Loved it. Staff were extremely freindly.
Love, love, LOVE!. I've been going to Kingsleys for a number of years and it never lets me down. The menu is delectable, the wine list exceptional, and the staff perfection. I have had a booking for 6 and turned up with 10 having seen friends in the street and nothing was too much trouble.
What I particularly like is the pricing. What you get here for $40 is not what you get in other places/cities for $40. The steaks are exceptional, and there is even one for $22. Many establishments fall victim to "large white plate syndrome" where they are charging for the privilege rather than the food. When I spend that much on a main I want to enjoy every bite, and at Kingsleys you are left wanting to lick the plate.
It might be a "chain" but it certanly doesn't taste like it! Brilliant steak and service in a fantastic setting. Yes it is pricey but I couldn't fault it and neither did my guests. Enjoy.
MMmmm....Beef. Great selection of beef and sides. For some reason i most like the beans and almonds as my all time favorite side dish, and the mash potatoe soooo creamy and buttery..Take your wallet, leave the kids at home and enjoy!
