Et al, is a lovely little place, a hidden gem one might say. I always like to enjoy the amazing food, prepared with the freshest ingredients and dine on the finest wines & cocktails, not to mention the fabulous coffee! and comfy feel of the interior decor. I'd have rated 6 stars but Facebook only allows for 5.
This is one of my favourite neighbourhood restaurants! There is always something new and delicious to try on the menu, so it never gets boring. Staff are always friendly and the maître provides excellent advice on the right wines to go with the dishes.
Even in winter the heaters make it pleasant to sit outdoors and watch the world go by.
It was a great dinner. We went there yesterday and had a 3 course meal. The barramundi was excellent. The best I've had im my life! We also loved the basil ice-cream. Well recommended!
Lovely dinner - great food and lovely menu. Very nice find and friendly staff. Would love to come back some time. The flavours would a bit quirky which was nice to try something different.
We were just looking for dessert. Despite et al being pretty quiet on a Wednesday night compared to other restaurants in the lane, we were suckered in by the mulled wine listed on the board at the front. The wine was great, with individual sticks of cinnamon and star anise in each glass. The dessert was just as good, especially the apple and rhubarb crumble that did amazing things with the crumble part. Not a big menu though. The mains still looked good and all under $30 - even if they’re small, et al still seems like a great place to get fancy food at an average price and I will definitely return for a full dinner.
Great wine list, yummy and reasonable priced food and friendly staff who care! Highly recommend for any time of day and any occasion. Fresh produce and tasty dishes
Went here last night with my team. Pork belly was spot on and serving size was just right.
Definately be back again for more, this time we'll order dessert too :)
Thanks team for a great night out.
Situated in a partly shaded yet well lit area, with a well coordinated nautical-botannical decor it's comfortably inviting.
The brunch menu is a reasonably priced combination of well executed classics and some delightful innovative creations. The service is good and attentive.
Great food at a good price point - came here with a friend and enjoyed a few glasses of rose and shared the barramundi and some sides. We both loved it and must recommend the smoked golden syrup potatoes... they are seriously addictive.
What a great find in Llankelly Place. This casual diner has some real surprises on the menu. The pork belly and charred apple sauce is always a favourite but the 600gram Scotch Fillet and black garlic butter (to share) his a real treat. Oh, and you MUST have the crisp potatoes with smoked golden syrup (really!).
Service is top notch (friendly) with a good, slightly unusual, wine selection.
Highly recommended. A good local find
New kid on the block, et al., takes over from Impromptu, which lasted a little less than a year (I didn’t manage to get there!). In fact, the last time I ate here was when it was a modern Korean place called Kim (which I adored; I love modern interpretations of traditional Asian dishes). It’s pretty much a perfect location for a Sydney summer meal (and we had good enough weather). What’s not to love about being served refined modern Australian food with a casual flair in an open courtyard facing onto the fun and funky Llankelly Place (which seems to continue to locate new and cool restaurants and bars).
There are restaurants with the character, Et Al is definitely one of them.
From the fact that you feel welcome and really well looked after to the High Quality Food on the Table. Wine list fantastic to pair all those fantastic dishes on the small selective but colourful menu.
We enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch. Located in the buzzing Llankelly Place Potts Point. Amazing food, freshly and expertly made. Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth checking out.
One of the very best dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. The food.... a smallish menu beautifully executed. The service warm friendly and knowledgeable... one of the very few establishments that still serve wine by the glass at the table from a very interesting list
Absolutely delicious, particularly loved the goats curd. Also some of the best service we’ve ever had in Sydney. Kudos to the new chef. We’ll be back.
Me and my wife visit here before going back to my country, was amazing experience. Even if we can not have any vegetables or pepper cuz we gonna get colonoscopy soon, the food was really delicious and staff are super kindly. Highly recommended this restaurant! We will come back when we get back here and that time want to eat veggies too! Haha

Amazing food - great presentation and taste! Really great friendly service from all the team. Nice cozy welcoming atmosphere!
Very high standards in the kitchen, service and atmosphere. Lamb cigars, steak sambo, duck sausage, scrambled eggs, roasted potatos and chicken, cauli gratin and house lemonade all to a great level of flavours and cooked to perfection. Will be back shortly as it is not as pricey as the lavish green-stripped cushions may suggest from outside.
