I ordered the vegetarian breakfast. It comes with toasts, 2 sunny side up eggs, tomatoes, mushroom, hashbrown and kale. I enjoyed it! I didn’t finish everything because it has quite a large serving. I ordered cappuccino. I like the coffee’s art! It was a heavy breakfast!
We came here for Australia day. Lovely ambiance, we sat inside because the outside tables were booked, but it was lovely regardless. Service is absolutely excellent. The waiters were all very attentive. We had minor issues with the 600g rump as we asked for medium rare: we got it well done the first time. However upon notifying the staff, she immediately sent it back to the kitchen. The second one we got was rare, but we didn't think to complain. The waiter looking after us however saw we were picking at our food, and had it sent back on the grill a third time. I'm blown away by the service. Safe to say although we had minor issues with the food, they were amended quickly. Thank you Waterfront for a lovely experience.
Very nice breakfast with beautiful views over Darling Harbour. Servings are large with vegetarian and hippie courses, plus the usual Tradie. You must try the house baked beans yum. Also the choice of a glass or jug of juice, nice option for two people.
A very busy saturday night group of 30. Set menu food was reasonably good and service was good but the venue was very noisy and the area we were put in was playing the rugby. Felt like a public bar. Maybe retry on a quiet night.
Been here with 12 members of the gangs.Such a best place to have dine and watching fireworks with the gangs . There is a best pasta, pork ribs .... it's better for ordering the share menu. Like pork ribs, fish n chip, the ceases salad is really good.
Back in the days I loved this place for their AYCE pork rib nights (which they unfortunately don't do anymore) and their amazing wagyu steak! I recently had the opportunity to come back with some friends for a birthday and try the different items on their menu. Location and ambience was beautiful, clean and spacious as ever and service was just as fast and friendly. Unfortunately not many of our dishes were that great especially in comparison to the pork ribs. My pork belly dish was especially fatty and inedible so I don't recommend it. However I admit even though my meal was quite terrible, Waterfront Grill does in a way make up for it through great service and views. Check out my post for the full write up
It's my first time to Sydney and I came here along with some of my friends. This place was suggested by them. The place, food and service didn't disappoint. I had ordered for Fish and Chips and it was good. Reminded me of the Fish and Chips I used to have when I was in London years ago. This is a good place with good food. Must try if you are around this area.
And while it looks like it might be quite expensive, there’s plenty of well priced gems like Waterfront Grill. The Pear salad with Wild rocket, sliced green pear, Spanish onion, toasted walnuts, Shaved parmesan cheese, honey and apple cider vinaigrette $16.50…. …wasn’t as good as the Chickpea and haloumi salad with Grilled haloumi, chickpeas, green beans, semi dried tomatoes, wild rocket and balsamic dressing $17.
love the full rack of beefs here (its a close race between this and pancakes and hurricanes) and the view is pretty good as well. rib are delicious, juicy and a great size meaning you definitely leave full. recommend for a friday night after work dinner but probs not for a group larger than 4
If you're looking for a real full rack of beef ribs, this place is it. It's not the best sauce but still tasty. They even offer it for virtually the same price as any of the other restaurants who would give you a much smaller portion. I had to stretch myself to finish the beef ribs! Normally I feel ripped off by how small they are, this is definitely not the case here. Came with a really good portion of salad to to be healthy.
The steak was nice but the chips not so much. The food is reasonably priced here.
Great view of the city by night. But the Darling Harbour precinct has many fine restaurants to chose from so there is no room for being less that top rate. The 300g steak was cooked well but was very fatty. My colleague's fillet was spot on. An ok restaurant but nothing that stood out. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
First time here , had dinner . Nice spot on the darling harbour marina. We had the rib special. Pork and lamb ribs were good. Service was attentive
Went for a quick dinner on a saturday night and had a satisfactory time. Waitress was quick and friendly and the food arrived quicker than expected. Ended up getting billed for a drink that I didn't order, which was quickly fixed at the end with no questions asked. I also felt a bit cheated for $7 garlic bread that was basically a burger bun cut into two but it was worth its great taste. Burger patties were thinner than planned and the chip serving with the burger could have been a tad more generous - but it was one of the cheaper places with that excellent view. Overall - affordable food, good location and would go again.
decent food with large portion. good view of darling harbour. nice place for date. been there three times. love their steaks. never get disappointed. will go again and again.~\(≧▽≦)/~
When it comes to steak options in Sydney you're spoiled for choice. So when a restaurant claims 'Darling Harbour's best steak' there's a lot to live up to. Did they deliver? Well let's start with entrée. Warm baked camembert with honey and walnuts was subtle and a great combination for starters. While not a huge selection of beers and wine, there was enough choice for most palates including a very smooth organic cab merlot. The 350g scotch fillet was cooked beautifully and tender. The red wine jus delicious and packed full of flavour. A hearty serving of crispy chips was welcomed and we ordered what turned out to be ample sides of veggies and mushrooms. Add a great view, excellent service and a warm atmosphere and most steak lovers will be very happy with the experience. Some 'grass fed' steak options would be a welcomed addition to the menu but overall highly recommended.
The billing said this was the premium steak house in Darling Harbour. Now while I'm not 100% sure on the validity of that statement, this was a decent meal. Had the 250gm eye fillet which came with chips. Steak was cooked well and had a nice char. The spicy BBQ sauce wasn't really spicy and was the sauce they probably put over their ribs. In any case it was pretty good value. Modest wine and beer list - nothing too exotic. The location makes this place better. Great spot right on the water.
Awesome place great service and fantastic steak. They will even take your steak back if it was under cooked. No questions asked. Great spot for people watching too
Why nobody wants to tag some images of the gorgeous night view? Let me do it. Cocktails good, foods were just slightly beyond average but the price was friendly. Owning all these views with a reasonable price is quite attractive. recommending to come for dinner instead of day-time meal.
Good place for early dinner in darling harbour with the harbour view! Their caesar sald is the best!!! Trust me it's so cheesy and creamy with a lot of bacon and eggs! Their fish and chips is so so, good cheese breads and salt and pepper calamari. The pork ribs is not bad but it's so thin kinda like baby pig hahaha but overall so good, should try the banana milkshake as well
Perfect!. Reservation: Easy. Went here on OurDeal voucher, which required 48 hrs advance booking, but they accomadated us just 3 hrs ahead of time.
Ambiance: Perfect. One of the best views of darling harbour, beautifull & romantic. We sat outside and they immediately set up the heater for us.
Food: Very Good. Large serves, delicious & very well cooked lamb shanks.
Service: Excellent. Every staff member made us feel comfortable and they were extremely polite & attentive allthrough. Billing was equally smooth sailing, even though we had a voucher.
$$$ Without the deal, it is pricey, but fairly so considering its location & food quality.
Verdict: Loved it! We'll be back
LOVE ITT!. I've eaten at so many restaurants around sydney, however this place is still my favorite when it comes to their steaks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
will be going again next month :)
Riiiiiiibbbbbsssss. So my partner recieved a free birthday meal voucher for Waterfront grill and we decided to give it a go last night. We were seated immediately and even were able to change tables to get a better view of the Vivid show in the harbour. We started off our meal with the Nachos for 2, The taste was great! plenty of all the elements, However we feel they could be a little bigger for a dish that should be serving 2 people =) For mains my partner was able to order anything off the menu for free except the specials and combos (Fair deal) She had the 500g rib eye with mushroom sauce, I opted for the half rack pork ribs. The meals came out nice and quick and steaming hot. The first thing i noticed was the size of my ribs! my gosh they were huge! and boy did they smell amazing! the waitress also brang over a small bucket witha bib and a wet wipe to accompany my meal (nice little touch i think). So i dug into my ribs, They were soooo meaty and tender, And i think i should also add in here that I am in no way a pork lover, I in fact really dislike pork, But these were greatest tasting things i have ever eaten! the sauce was delicious and wasnt too over powering! YUM! my partners steak was massive, only downside was it was a little undercooked but they fixed that for her, Replaced her sauce and chips and all was good. It was also delicious, melting in the mouth. The mushroom sauce i must say i was impressed, It was so flavourful! We decided not to have dessert because we were so full! so we just sat after our meal and enjoyed the great harbour view from our table. We both loved the place and will definately be back to try the other dishes we saw whilst dining! oh and also to get the ribs ;)
This place offers some pretty good weekly deals. Keep in mind that on Tuesdays, there's an all you can eat pork ribs deal and you will get sick of the ribs after 2 plates because the fat just gets a bit too much for an individual to handle.
Best customer service ever - from booking a table to paying the bill the customer service was outstanding. Staff were attentive and so welcoming and made a fuss of our one year old which was lovely when children are generally treated as a nuisance in restaurants. Coming from the beef capital, rockhampton, it's hard to beat the steak at home but the steak was lovely and tender even though I get it well done, the salad was fresh and the mushroom sauce one of the best I've had. Only downside was limited wine selection but you can byo
Happy. Went for dinner with a few friends on their Tuesday's all you can eat ribs for $27. It was great. Attentive staff and the food came out on time. Left feeling content.
Value - with a voucher. Went there last Sunday for lunch. Party of two. No trouble booking with a voucher and were given good seats overlooking the water. The steaks were cooked perfectly and very tender, the chips chunky and crisp and the steamed vegies - one serve fed two. The beef and peppercorn jus is to die for. Great value for money @ $49 for $100 worth of food. A bit pricey at full price but so is everywhere at Darling Harbour. They did have a specials menu which seemed better value, albeit with limited choices.
Mouth watering. Amazing food with wonderful views. Is a little pricey but they are huge meals that are delectable.
I LOVED place.... came with 6 people with scoopon voucher. EXCELLENT service and the food was cooked to perfection.
Want a good meal then this os the place to be!
AMAZING!. My partner and I were strolling the front when we stumbled across this place.. and what a night to find it.. all you can eat ribs night! They were delicious, so tender! The service was very attentive from every single server who we dealt with throughout the evening (all in all around 6.) They all has personaiity and made us feel very welcome! The food that was going to the other tables looked incredible so we shall be bringing our parents when we return to Sydney in the Autumn!
Surprised by the Salad. For a place built around meat, the salads were surprisingly good. Ok they got our order incorrect but we ate and enjoyed the food anyway. Come hungry or share a meal because between the 2 of us we struggled to finish one main and a salad. The pork ribs were great and im not usually someone to eat ribs. Just make sure the waitress repeats your order to be sure she gets it correct.
Had all three course...the salad was ok, the meat/steak was fine, the desserts tasted cheap...Service was friendly but hectic...however since the main course was better than another steakhouse I tried before, I would recommend this place
Gooood. Always a pleasant surprise to find a little place with warm service and great attention to detail with the food even when it's a week-night promotion menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my (massive) juicy rump steak served with garlic and truffle butter; but I also loved the sight of others around me diving into their barbecued ribs with such look of satisfaction.
We dined at 7:00pm on a Saturday.
They were busy, but we were seated immediately. The staff members were friendly and attentive.
The menu was geared towards ribs, steak, lamb etc. and came with friends or mashed potato. There were many other options that could be added - salads, vegetables and pasta.
The drinks menu was excellent, with some impressive cocktails, a good range of wines and a good selection of beer.
Our order was taken quickly and the drinks arrived immediately.
The food wasn’t far behind. We had lamb shanks, wagyu steak and sirloin steak. There were a number of sauces to choose, with mine being the garlic truffle butter, which was magical.
The food was expertly cooked and delicious.
There was an extensive dessert menu, but we didn’t order.
The atmosphere was welcoming and the seating comfortable. The view over the harbour was a treat.
Families were welcomed.
I am so surprised to see this restaurant has only 3.8 stars. In my opinion, it should be absolutely more than that.
Location: 10/10. Perfect location. Right in front of of the waterfront. You eat your dinner when seeing everything of Darling harbor.
Food: 10/10. Food quality is 9, but the quantity is absolutely more than 10. For A$40, we got one rack of lamb ribs which contains more than 17 pieces.
Service: 10/10.
Highly recommend to give it a try and review it.
The best place to dine in Sydney! Great location, service is amazing and the food is consistently delicious. Sam, Danny and the team are a great bunch, very friendly and professional.
Very rare to find such a gem in Sydney, but this place caters to all foodies!
Good food and drinks and service. The waiters are very friendly too. Needs to have more vegetarian options as well 😊
This is a great place for a relaxed dining experience. All staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The food came out quickly and was delicious but he weren't rushed to eat. Great price, will definitely return.
Food and environment were fine, but what made my dinner a 5 star one was the big smile and friendliness of one of the waiters! Guy is super approachable, really tried to help us find the table we wanted, joked with us, and was honest when we asked about the menu.
By far one of the best services I ever had in Australia!
Nice restaurant with good food and ambience. Staffs were busy but managed to get a table for us. Nisha was a magnificent wait staff who was quite good with her services. We were a group of 7 and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner yesterday. This restaurant deserves 5/5 stars.
