I went here for the banquet dinner on a Saturday night. Everything that was plated was beautiful. Portion sizes weren’t too big so we could get through the entire menu. Highly recommend. Very cool dinner vibe and decor. We actually did a combo banquet and limitless drinks package which was awesome! Recommend checking it out!
The place is a but hard to find because dont have big name in the front. I already booked the place before come. Its crowded but the place not big. The service was good. Overall the food was good my friend very enjoying it but for me it was good but nothing special
I really enjoyed my experience here. Staff were super friendly and helpful. If you love Japanese food, I’d highly recommend this restaurant. The cocktails were sweet which I loved, if you don’t drink alcohol the mocktail was a hit for everyone- it had a fruity and had a fresh taste.
We ordered two entrees and those dishes were served quickly, the mains however took a while to be served however was worth the wait.
I recommend the slow cook pork, duck breast and Wagyu beef
Bar H is very casual. Do not dress up like it is fine dining because I somehow got this memo. Food was spectacular and so was our waitress. We had the oysters (not cold enough although creamy), smoked salmon sashimi (this was yum!), dumplings (so good, with a hit of sourness), soba noodles with enoki and scallops (creamy, I lost my taste buds during this dish as I was sick), the rib eye (phenomenal!!!!) paired with the side rice dish with fish roe (recommended with the steak).
Tables were so close to each other given the size of the bar, so I had to try my best to zone out of eavesdropping the tables on my left and right.
Bar H is a nice wine bar with cool ambience that serves up delicious Asian fusion meals. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed everything we ordered.

Great ambience and food with awesome presentation and taste - perfect place for a low key (but relatively expensive) date on the weekday since it’s so close to the CBD. The server was really friendly but the service was a little too slow for our liking (which may just be because we came here on a Tuesday night and they didn’t want to seem like they were rushing us). We had two mains to share and an entree each between the two of us:
1. Tempura corn: 3.5/5. The corn, black salt, and smoked corn purée marry well with the tempura. Interesting because there are so many flavours in a bite. However, it can get a little hard to eat towards the end (thankful for my Chinese upbringing which allowed me to pick up each piece of corn with my chopsticks)
2. Fried eggplant: 4/5. Not quite what I expected but in a good way. I had expected tempura style fried eggplants but it came more in the shape and taste of the unagi in unagidon. I felt that the ginger added a really nice and fresh touch.
3. Mushroom, buckwheat, soft egg: 4.5/5. Ah the soft egg never loses its appeal. The egg comes whole and you break the egg to create the sauce. Perfect if you are not feeling particularly hungry or want something light.
This dinner-only bar-restaurant is dangerously easy to like, serving up a kick ass menu of good things like pork belly and dumplings. It’s small and sophisticated, and offers a pretty pleasing assortment of sake, wine and cocktails.
H for High Quality Japanese fusion food. Complimentary bread would be nice to balance out the palate. The short rib was the stand out for me and the white chocolate mousse with some bitter matcha to balance off the sweetness.

My boyfriend took me here for my 23rd and i’ve also heard good things from one of my friends. We got the shared set menu and added the pork belly and white chocolate yuzu mousse. The food was honestly very different from all the Japanese fusion places i’ve tried. The kingfish + scallops were refreshing! The pork dumplings was delicious and juicy! Pork belly was the different kind of pork belly, not the usual crackling/western version. It felt like there was a Japanese twist to it. The barramundi, tasted very similar to my mother’s steamed barramundi fish! Wagyu was very chewy - I actually got tired from chewing it! Nonetheless, it was still very tasty! The broccolini had a very chinese taste to it - tasted like those stir fry vegetables from a Chinese restaurant. The plum wine sabayon was such a refreshing dessert to end the meal! The white chocolate yuzu mousse was too sweet for my boyfriends liking but it was perfect for a sweet tooth like me! Overall, I highly recommend coming here! The food, price, service and ambiance was very unique and tasty!
Booked this place through an app called the fork as my friend recommended this place for its diversity of food and it was so worth it. Great for share meals and they have an extensive collection of wine, sake, whiskey, beer etc you name it. Service was friendly and prompt.
Good cozy spot with open windows, though a bit paranoid of bag snatching. A bit loud as more people entered. Good service.
Finished just as smokers started just outside the restaurant, smoke disobeyed the rules by travelling more than 4m. Shame on smoke!
The mushroom egg thing with barley: interesting. Soft barley, lots and loads of mushrooms, Miso-like flavour. Mixed it like bimbimbap.
The pork was not as strongly flavoured as warned so didn't need rice. It was soft, the fat rendered and the skin crispy. The mustard was mild.
Duck was tasty tasty, the mushrooms were especially truffled.
Salt ice cream was indeed salty; the salak-like passionfruit mochi was appropriately chewy. Probably should've bibimbaped it before eating.
Pros: Lovely intimate dining with attentive prompt service and good food. 👍🏻👍🏻 Fabulous food in terms of taste and presentation.
What could be improved: cocktail offering was average. Also, although lighting was nicer near the windows creating a romantic feel, the lighting for dining areas opposite the kitchen were not very nice and tables were too close together.
Fantastic food and great staff. Best pork belly I've ever had! Losing one star for portion sizes.
Absolutely fell in love just after one-try, my friend loved it too. Perfect service and really yummy food, very cozy little neighbourhood gem.
