A very nice restaurant with a wine list to die for. Food was excellent. I could recommend this for everyone. It also has a market where you can pick up some groceries and a bottle shop which had some great buys really world class wines. They have outside seating which is pet friendly. Very reasonably priced.
Always delightful and I can never go past the poached pear, ricotta & granola with berry compote.... the presentation has changed many times but it's always delicious and always a visual delight :-)
We got shouted at by an elderly man for 'breaking' the giant clock face when a bag got caught on the minute hand. Thought we were apologising to the manager when the french waitress reassured us it was just an observant gentleman with a fascination for clocks and livid at the hand unmoved on the half hour. Not sure if he had a few but the clock was then readjusted swiftly to the dot by the waiter. Well handled.
excellent food and excellent service...I droppped my knife once and then my fork...without even raising up my hand the waiter came to my rescue...

My Best Friend and I were delighted to enjoy a relaxing evening at Bel&Brio. The other restaurant we were at earlier, didn't serve dessert so we decided to go to Bel&Brio. The Staff were hospitable, and professional. We Had dessert and Drinks. Made our evening a night to remember. We are definitely going to be back.Thank you Bel&Brio
great food cooked to perfection, excellent friendly & helpful staff and nice ambiance in a lovely area.
It wasn’t my first time at Bel & Brio, I’ve been here a few times with friends and we never had issues.
Yesterday I took my daughter for coffee and some sweets and we really had a great time!😊
Love the atmosphere and everything❤️
Thanks Massimo & Matias, excellent dishes and the Baci chocolates were really nice too!
One of our favourites. Love the coffee and the waiters are so friendly and gorgeous. 5 stars all the way.
Chef Vanessa Martin comes from heaven, I had the chance to taste her food many years ago at Il Piave and I'm amazed of what she is doing now at Bel & Brio
Had a wonderful lunch today, fabulous food and excellent attentive service. thoroughly enjoyed and recommended! thank you.
Great pizza. Friendly wait staff.
................
We were a party of 5 for a pre theatre dinner and we well looked after. Food was beautiful with superb service. Highly recommended.
What I love most about this restaurant is the ambience. It’s spacious, clean, and the windows allow in plenty of natural light. This gives a very modern, cool, and ‘refreshing’ atmosphere.
Moreover, the service was quick and helpful. The food was amazing, I really enjoyed the Margherita as the dough was nice and thin and bouncy on the crust. However, despite the taste and quality of the food, at the time I went, the prices were a little high.
theres two side of restaurant, fine dining with table cloth and candles or this one we had is the more casual side, food was decent along with all well dressed and groomed staff. the folded pizza was very good as fresh woodfired pizza always the best.
Excellent service from Matias. The restaurant ambiance is traditional and stylish, great service, well dressed wait staff and very reasonably priced. Great music too
A last minute trip to Sydney and decided. To have dinner at this lovely place. The food was fantastic and the waiters were friendly and attentive. I had the slow cooked lamb shoulder with the Broccolini in garlic. The lamb was very tender. Just in passing I mentioned it was my birthday. One momento.... Shortly thereafter I had two waiters singing me happy birthday with a Tiramasu with a candle, on the house. What can I say. The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and more important was that I left the restaurant feeling like I had an amazing evening albeit far from home
A place that would never let you down, their oyster and seafood are always fresh and delicious. They are my favourite. N waitress always have good recommendations for the matching wine.
First time trying out at Corsio Brio inside Bel & Brio for Valentines Day, and was so impressed. The restaurant had a very pleasant, relaxed ambience, which was accompanied by excellent customer service. The food was incredible, and both my partner and I were more than satisfied with our dishes. We ordered the Bruschetta for starters - this pistachio pesto topped with stracciatella on bread was so delicious. For mains, we had the wagyu beef scotch fillet which was cooked to absolute perfection (highly recommended!!!) & I had the spaghetti crab which was the best! Truffle fries were a generous serving and cooked really well, but didn’t find it that special. Regardless, the food was still divine!
Update: I tried the bar and dining menu, and was quite disappointed with the food served. Although the bolognese was lovely, I didn’t find there was anything that special about it. The swordfish carpaccio was so fresh and had so much flavour, but was quite turned off by the use passion fruit, I didn’t think it suited. The bolognese was great, but found it quite mediocre. The spaghetti prawns was quite tasteless, and according to my brother tasted like “instant noodles with prawns”. The best dish of the evening was the special pasta which was delicious and had a great portion of squid and prawns (which were amazing). For dessert, the baked ricotta cheesecake was so delicious and a definite must-try! :) service was wonderful tonight.
Booked this restaurant out for my mum’s birthday. Service was excellent. Food was on point as well. Had the tuna for antipasti which was different and quite lovely. For mains we had the lamb shoulders, smoked duck breast and tagliatelle pasta. Finished off the night, hazelnut tiramisu and vegan chocolate tortilla which was amazing. Would love to come back again! Might try the breakfast next time :)
Capping off the year with a traditional Italian style feast paired with wines is my idea of a jolly season. The Bel & Brio chefs did a lavish spread with all of their favourite dishes from home including Tuna Carpaccio, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Smoked Lamb Leg and Torrone Semifreddo to name a few.
How can I describe Bel & Brio?
Shall I say: Great food, amazing service, stunning atmosphere or superb staffs?
well, to be quite fair dinkum all of the above. So, pleased with every cent that is spent here.
A wonderful discovery. Not too noisy and cosy inside.
Service spot on.
This is a great place to stop for a drink and a meal. The staff are kind and attentive - nothing is too much for them, all they want to do is make you feel at home.
Great pizza, reminiscent of Sorbello’s in Naples. The wine selection is out of this world!
Go and see Matias here, he is a wealth of knowledge about what wine goes with what food.
Glad we found this gem in Barangaroo
I love the pizza, it is so yummy
Sensational Birthday Dinner for Nicole at Corso Brio in Barangaroo - food was superb and the service from Matias amazing . Definitely recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥 #corsobrio #exceptionalfood #caringservice
I went for the winter menu launch to Bel & Brio and it was an absolute delight.
The chef and the majority of their wait staff are Italians and they take their job seriously. These flavours felt so intense and delicious that I can’t wait to go back ! If you look for quality Italian food this is the place to go.
It’s worth to come for the experience . It’s quite a unique place: they own a farm where the fresh produce comes from and it’s also home made bread.
The selection of wines is vast and the place is elegant.
On an extra note: tiramisu is not my favourite choice of dessert and here I can assure you it became one of my favourites !! They gave it a twist with pistachio and it’s so gooood!
I loved everything about it, can’t recommend enough !
When you have a small baby, going to a dinner is not as easy as it seems. So little details in customer service makes a huge difference in your experience. All the staff were helpful, proactive and made us feel welcome. We were looked after from the very second we walked in right until we left, meanwhile whatever we requested absolutely nothing was a problem to them.. Massive shout out to all of the staff and specially to Massimo who served us so professionally and with class. The food was unbelievable cocktail mouthwatering and the whole ambient was just like out of a movie scene.. The sound of jazz playing in the background. Loved it. Every part of it. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back and make sure everyone knows about this hidden gem. Fabio and Sabina
Only tried the wood fire pizza,it’s tasty and the dough is really soft. But like every thin crust pizzas when you hold a slice the pizza base can not hold the toppings weight so it’s just flops so expect topping slippage
Fabulous food - fresh, refined flavours, complexity of textures. Had their Seared ruby tuna salad, tomato pesto Swordfish which was cooked to absolute perfection and just melting in the mouth, Triky tiki mocktail and finished it up with their pistachio tiramisu - the highlight dish as it was creamy, light coffee flavour, decorated with crunchy pistachio, raspberry reduction and lime jelly - super! Great service and atmosphere.
The most fantastic degustation in there
Their private dining room ”Corso Brio” for a gastronomic Mediterranean feast. Ever course was magic. Paul and Gabriel’s service was incredible. A while magical vibe with every detail made precisely perfect.
Myself and my partner came to Bel & Brio because we wanted an Italian meal while spending time in Barangaroo and it was definitely a good decision.
First off we were seated immediately by the friendly host who, despite there being a lot of diners in the venue, managed to find us a nice spot by the window.
We were accommodated well by the waiter who looked after us, took our orders and gave us advice on the food and wine. The wine selection here is very diverse, my partner also had a Negroni cocktail which was fantastically made.
I had the lamb shoulder, it was amazing with so much flavour, while my partner who is a big risotto fan, said his was unlike any other he's ever tried. The staff would keep refilling our water and were very attentive throughout the evening, we truly felt well looked after, despite how busy it was. There is also a fine dining room with lovely ambience if you wanted a more intimate setting for your meal away from the bustle of the restaurant.
This place also has a marketplace with a large selection of gourmet and everyday items with nice staff who will help with any query you have. They also sell flowers and have a wine cellar where you can purchase the wine from the menu, which I thought was a great touch. You can also dine in the cellar if you wanted, which I really like the idea of, as it's a nice cosy setting and you're surrounded by all the wines.
There is a lot of attention to detail in this establishment and I would definitely recommend anyone who likes good quality, authentic Italian food and warm service to give Bel and Brio a go.
The other day I found out that Bel&Brio has one of the biggest range of whiskies in Sydney, so I decide to go and check this place out. Once I got there I could see that it was true, they have over 250 whiskies, I was in paradise! Definitely a plus of this place is Daniele, I thought I knew a lot about whiskies, but this guy is phenomenal he makes you love them even more explaining everything on details. Also to make even better this alcoholic experience was the food, top level, started with a charcuterie full of italian flavors and to follow their pasta of the day with king prawns, simply exceptional!!!!
Went there with mum and sister for a lunch. Also, I've been there with hubby for a cocktail. Beautiful place with amazing food, coffee and cocktails, huge range of wine. Moreover, they have cellar door and the market place and you can find there whatever you need.
extremely recommanded, the food is amazing and you can taste the quality of the raw materials (very recommanded the new beef shoulder), the atmosphere is great especially night time in the new dining room, service excellent in pure italian style. no problem with kids.
Best Italian Restaurant in Barangaroo.
The perfect place for your Business lunch or meeting breakfast. Great selection of Italian food and wine . You can enjoy a very good coffee and a wonderful pastries. The venue has too a big marketplace with the best selection of Italian items and lastly an amazing wine cellar .
All you need, you can find it in Bel & Brio !
Absolutely fantastic experience at Bel&Brio!
Went last night with my partner for dinner, we started with couple of drinks at the outstanding bar where I had probably the best Negroni ever, then they took us in the new dining room which is super comfy, there was the perfect atmosphere, food was superb, fresh and well presented, modern Italian with delicious flavors that reflects the real Italian taste cooked with passion! Service was great too with attention for details we have been take care from beginning to the end, wow! We finally found our favorite place in the City and we will definitely come back soon!
I've been there already many times in the last months.
You can laterally live in Bel and Brio.
I've tried both, dining experience with my wife and bar/bistro side with some mates.
Food to die for, and the spaghetti crab... the best!
And the pizza is an authentic one.
Drink side you have everything, wines, beers, spirits, classic and signature cocktails.
Service professional and charming.
The ambiance is top notch!!!
Cellar with a broad selection of wine in their cellar (some really rare french and italian).
Marketplace with premium and every day products in the market.
Back soon!
One of the happening place to chill out and wind up with friends and family. The ambience in this place is nice and soothning to the eyes, food is incredibly delicious, quick service with good quality and cocktails are on top of everything. I brought some kale chips and gluten free cookies form their marketplace and a bottle of red wine which were absolutely amazing. Bel and Brio is a complete package as its logo says ' Eat Drink and Shop' and of course ENJOY. A good value to your time and money.
Bel and Brio is one of the greatest place in Sydney to spend quality time in.
The location is great and easy to access.
It has a market place which offers a wide range of different products.
The restaurant’s food is really delicious with a wonderful menu of Italian gourmet dish to choose from.
The most importantly, the customer service is amazing.
Don’t miss this place.
Excellent bar and restaurant. Fantastic choice of food and wine to choose from.
The staff at Bel & Brio are highly professional and give you the best dining experience.
A simple word to describe my dinner yesterday, AMAZING. I have been recommended by a friend to dine in this lovely venue. I was with my partner and we opt to dine in the "Corso Brio" which is a new dining area that has been separated from the bar recently. Such an amazing venue, from the bar to the grocery and the cellar. The cellar has a huge variety of liquors and mostly rare to find. Incredible. The staff was very friendly and we always had a chance to chat with them. We had a degustation menu which is only 99$ pp for 6 courses, and it was super tasty. Especially the crab spaghetti, so yummy! Gabriele, the waiter, took good care of us and explained their history and their view of sustainability foods. They also own a farm which produce their free range eggs, and as well vegetables. Also, the wine selection was very good and well explained. At the end, we were curious to have a look at the grocery and we found a lot of quality items such as olive oil, vinegars and sauces. Mostly Italian or European. I also discovered that they have a production kitchen which make sourdough bread every day, salads and sandwiches. I really recommend this venue especially for romantic occasions. My partner was very impressed. Thank you again will be back soon.
I had several lunch and dinner in this place and i always loved it. The ambience is gorgeous and food as well as drinks are just amazing. Service is great and pretty much all the staffs are Italian so you can feel the Italian's atmosphere. I will suggest this venue to everyone who want to enjoy an experience and at the same time feel like home. Located in Barangaroo this place offer a restaurant service, breakfast, lunch and dinner, a marketplace and a wines and beers cellar.

The setting is very European and intentional. The food depends on what you order. The savory is great and no questions, perfect amount portion size with good flavor. The desserts is where the issue is, if you order made to order dessert, great and you’ll be happy. The ready made desserts though on display are a let down and that’s a shame.
Still overall worth a visit
I go here for coffee and lunch sometimes as it’s close to my office. The pizzas are very good although quite pricey for a simple lunch. Coffee and cakes are also very nice here.
Came here with my family to enjoy some lunch and the staff was very accommodating!
This restaurant has a Italian grocery store inside it as well which sells pasta essentials, sweets, alcohol, ready to eat meals etc.
The standout dish for me was the Slow cooked beef cheeks with chocolate sauce. Definitely a dish to try if you're an adventurous foodie! ($48, but highly recommended!). The beef cheeks had a soft texture and the chocolate sauce did not overwhelm this dish!
My sibling ordered the Tagliatelle pasta and he enjoyed it.
Side dishes of Roasted Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts were seasoned nicely and had a buttery taste.
Delicious Italian food, would recommend!
I had a work dinner here, and it was lovely. My octopus and mussels were cooked to perfection, and the sides we had were lovely too. Highly recommended.
Polite and friendly. Good vibe and got out. The tea tasted delicious and food scrumptious. Waiters were professional and get valued. Must try.
Went to bel and brio with colleagues on a week day for lunch. I ordered their hand made egg spaghetti with spanner crab and tomatoes. My god it was easy to eat and sat well in my tummy. I didnt feel bloated or uncomfortable after our meal. The spag was $29 a bit costly but arent everything these days...
Service was good and i would go back to try their other items! Based on my one experience i really couldnt fault anything. So giving it a 5
This is a late review for Bel & Brio where we visited on the last working day of 2017. To celebrate the occasion, we arrived this waterfront restaurant for a bit of wine and dine. We couldn't look pass the charcuterie board and washed it all down with a bottle of pinot grigio. What a pleasure afternoon with good food and wine, we shall return and do it all over again.
Came here to catch up with a friend over beer. I loved the interiors and the vibe. They have a small grocery attached it it with lots of goodies.
The classiest places to have a meal or a drink, viewing the bay the barangaroo avenue. the food is fantastic so is the staff courteous. the service is just perfect. if lucky you can spot some stars as well.
Came here on a Thursday evening around 7pm. Not very busy, quite relaxing.
The four of us just came for some bubbly and beer, with a cheeseboard and bread. It was a short visit but it was delightful. The staff were friendly, and the cheeseboard they gave us was a very generous portion. I'd definitely come back to try more of their food.
Love the supermarket! The balmain bugs are great if you get it and cook at home. Lots of choices the price is a bit over tho. Only tried the dessert it’s average.
A great place for brekkie with cliques!!
The Bel & Brio rye bread & scramble eggs was good, and the portion was just perfect for me. For the one who comes with hungry belly, the tasty bacon egg brioche came in a bigger portion. The baked eggs was another great choice. And so does the mocha & latte.
The brekkie time was until 12 PM, and the lunch started at 11.45PM. We only can order croissants & cakes & coffee in between.
I adored the cozy ambience and the color palettes of the restaurant, which were dominated by dark blue and black. It also has little shops, but I didn't have time to look around.
Maximillian the Italian waiter is very helpful, friendly and funny. He checked our table regularly to fill our water and asked whether everything was okay. He also gave us mini chocolates which were truly sweet!
Too bad I only took picture of the mocha, I enjoyed the brekkie time a little bit too much ;)
Friendly staff and great place to pick up coffee! What I love most is their little grocery store that is it attached to, amazing variety of food, snacks and drinks from around the world. My little foodie heart gets excited everytime I come here.
Recommended by friend to come here. And had a great private dining experience for Christmas dinner with family and friends. Such a memorable experience.
Good dessert, coffee and also they offer a nice refreshing fresh juice and authentic Italian dishes.
Had piccolo, Nutella tart, smoked salmon bruschetta and fresh juice: watermelon, apple & lemon.
Piccolo. : nice and strong, the way I like it!
Nutella tart: rich in flavour, almost to much for me... almost! 😝
Salmon Brushetta: good but nothing special, however size wise, it’s a perfect nible in the afternoon.
Fresh juice: freshly squeeze, but it’s to expensive ($8.50) for the size the are offering.
Over all, it was good, service not so attentive, and from price point of you, well a little pricy!.
We have been to Bel and Brio several times. Last Tuesday we took friends who had never been, but we were so disappointed. Food was terrible presented, we asked for salt and pepper three times, took forever. they didn't have the wine we ordered. Food was dry and not good. We will not be coming back, so upset because I love the atmosphere.
It's my second time visited this restaurant, atmosphere and friendly staffs.
Food is amazing and using good quality ingredients that lift up the taste in general. They also have a small grocer section next to the restaurant.
Exceptional food and service tonight. We booked using the Zomato app (seamless) for a dinner for 2. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately.
The staff were attentive and enthusiastic about the menu. We skipped entrees and ordered the main special based on a strong recommendation from our waiter. It did not disappoint. Rare beef served with lemon creme freche, a sumptuous portobello mushroom butter, foie gras and a well balanced salad with asparagus and rocket. We also shared the best pork belly we have ever eaten. I love pork belly and generally no longer order it because it disappoints. Not tonight. I wanted the mains to last forever.
For dessert we again took the recommendation for the special of the day, a hazelnut and chocolate tart, and tried the three flavours of cannoli. Special, sweet but not sickly. We shared all our meals, and the staff made it easy to do so with shared plates.
I loved this meal so much. Very grateful for the dining experience.
Coffee perfect, ambiance very good. If you want to have better date experience, come here. They also have sweets that your girlfriend might love it.
Barangaroo, is one of the newest precincts in the Sydney CBD and is right on the water. The area is a business district and home to a number of relatively new restaurants and food outlets. For the month of August it is the site Campari have chosen to host their Campari Red Nights Campaign. With partner venues hosting Aperitivo hour, offering a complimentary Campari and Tonic while you shop. On this occasion we checked into Bel & Brio.

Bel and Brio is a modern Australian restaurant that has newly opened in the Barangaroo complex. Their menu is designed to be shared and spilt into Breads and Boards, Bits and Bites, Pasta, From the Spit, From the Land and From the Sea. We came here on a Friday night in a large group for a friends birthday, which was great because we could order a lot of dishes and try a bit of everything.
Another beautiful restaurant in the exciting dining precinct of Barangaroo! Yes, am slightly obsessed with trying every restaurant down here and sorting out my favourites and which ones I can recommend! Well Bel and Brio has a casual breezy feel about it, whether you are dining alfresco or in the vast interior of the building. Our waitress was very hospitable and friendly and informed us of the daily specials in a lovely Italian accent with lots of comments about the farming methods used and the focus on sustainability! We chose to share three items from the menu: 1) the charcuterie board with white truffle honey, San Daniele prosciutto, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino, Asiago and Sicilian olives. 2) the very tender slow cooked goat w celeriac puree, pickled baby carrots and fennel pollen 3) the handcut chips w black truffle salsa and pecorino. All dishes were so satisfying and we look forward to returning to try more of this delicious menu! Oh....those fries... to die for!
Cool, contemporary Italian restaurant/market place. Menu isn't huge but great options to choose from. Go explore the market/grocery store they have heaps of weird and wonderful items you can't buy anywhere. The range of prepackaged meals looked fantastic as well
Lovely appointed Cafe/restaurant in Barangaroo. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Coffee is by Will & Co which is decent enough. I had the cinnamon poached pear with whipped ricotta, berries and compote. Delicious. Hubs had scrambled eggs with sautéed spinach and Italian sausage with thick soft sourdough. He enjoyed it.
My friend took me out here for my birthday for dinner and even though we had a later booking the place was willing to let us sit earlier and have drinks. The kitchen wasn't open until 6pm the staff were very nice and attentive always checking to see if we needed more to drink. I like how this restaurant also combines with a Italian grocery store very good idea to pick up some ingredients. Once 6 came around we were there around 530 so didn't have to wait to long we decided to get a bowl of hand cut chips with parmesan and truffles we I thought would be a small serving but more then enough for two people. It was freshly cooked and very crispy. We then decides to order the pork belly which was presented beautifully with garnish of salad. The pork belly was cooked very well moist underneath which melted in my mouth and the crackling skin was so crunchy!. The only thing I found of inconvenience was the bathroom was outside the restaurant but I guess it was to make space for the grocery store. Will be back to eat here again

I have a confession. I'm obsessed with Barangaroo. I just love it down there. It's got that new and exciting vibe, and it's a cool cross between village and city.
Every time I'm down that way I always walk past Bel & Brio and think damn that's a classy little joint, and all it took was seeing a pic of their truffle fries to have me booking in a dinner.
Bel & Brio is part restaurant, part bar, part really cute farmers market supermarket. It almost has a NYC Dean & Deluca feel to it which I love. It's an ideal date night or girls night spot. FYI to any future dates, please take me back here and feed me truffle fries ok thanks.
We score a nice window table where you can watch the city life mingle before you. The waiters are quite formal, and explain the menu. Here's what we opt for:
Tuna - seared Albacore tuna, marinated artichokes, shaved fennel, giant capers, green beans and citrus dressing. Aside from being an absolutely visually stunning dish, my friend proclaimed this as the best tuna she had ever eaten and she is quite the connoisseur.
Rigatoni - pistachio pesto, baby broccoli, black truffle pecorino. Again presentation on point. The flavours were nice, but the pasta was cooked a little al dente for my liking, and could have done with a bit more sauce perhaps.
Hand cut chips - black truffle, pecorino. My heart almost started palpitating at the excitement of this dish - mainly seeing the generous servings of black truffle omg. This is one for the true truffle lovers and an absolute must order if you come here!
Overall a really nice evening at Bel & Brio, will certainly be back to try out some more items on the menu, and get those truffle fries again.

Beautiful setting. Modern yet cosy. I'd read the reviews beforehand and wasn't expecting much but I'm glad I came here. Yes, the service could be friendlier. However, the food was amazing! I opted for the vegetarian "green lasagne". It was delicious! Rich, filling, so many different flavours. Utterly yum! To top it off, the presentation was excellent. Little dollops of various purees decorated the plate. Will be back!
Dropped in here for a coffee and snack whilst having a wander of the area. The place has a nice European feel to it with friendly staff and a decently good croissant and coffee. Look forward to have a meal here at some point.
Stopped by here for a cake and coffee. This restaurant is a mixture of a restaurant, wine bar, grocery shop, and cafe. You can choose to be seated inside or out.
I wasn't sure of the process of dining in for just cake and coffee so followed the process of ordering at the counter and making payment then as another couple did before. The lady serving me was nice but was definitely confused about if I wanted to eat in as originally marked my order as takeaway for the cake but then changed to eat in after I advised her I was eating in. Somehow she put the coffee as takeaway so when that got served to me I got a nice plate for the Lemon Tart but a takeaway cup for my Mocha. Lucky both tasted good. The coffee is by Will & Co.
Good food, great atmosphere and friendly service. The cocktails were delicious and the menu was diverse and there was a variety of food. The pork belly, chips, ribs and the panacotta was delicious.
Had the revisited tiramisu and a glass of red after a meal locally. I think the tiramisu was fun and love the look of it. The service was quite friendly and made us feel welcome. Would love to try their other food next time.
After irritating my friends with my need for a caffeine fix, Bel & Brio was the first coffee shop we came across after having lunch in Barangaroo.
Although I came in at 4:35, they were still doing coffee to my delight! (NZ stores usually stop by 3-3:30pm). The cashier was super friendly & patient with me whilst trying to figure out the Australian currency.
I've had a lot of bad coffees in my time, especially when I ask for soy flat whites. So, for $4, this was one of the best tasting & budget friendly coffees I've ever had! The baristas obviously know what they're doing & they do it extremely well.
Would highly recommend grabbing a takeaway coffee from here!
Bel & Brio used to be my favourite spot for a chai latte this side of town. But the last three times were a disappointment, tasting like frothed soy milk without the beautiful spices and honey like the first few times I had it. Next time, I'll remember to ask for a stronger brew and a bit of honey.
--Previous visit--
I had the tuna salad for lunch. The dressing was quite light on flavour but the fresh tuna steaks were perfectly seared with a melt in the mouth texture. It went well with the salad of green beans, mixed greens, artichokes and fennel. My friend's crispy pork belly salad arrived with an impressive slab of meat, crunchy crackling and a handful of leaves with some orange slices. A carnivore's dream salad. The pork should've been sliced into smaller pieces for easier eating. Last order was the mushroom pasta. The first few bites of this were tasty but it became less enjoyable after that, due to the intense richness of the truffle and pecorino. While there was room for improvement with our food, we still had a good experience and would return.
---Previous visit---
Finally, a decent chai latte that's not made from sweet powder. My soy chai latte was pleasantly nutty, with a mild honey sweetness and the comforting flavours of warm spices.

It was a tough choice but we chose the hazelnut and dark chocolate mousse cake, the mango mousse cake and the raspberry cheesecake. They were all almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Very rich but very delectable. Prices are $9.50 for the cakes with takeaway being cheaper by about a dollar. Keen to return for the food.
It's hard not to be impressed with the offerings available at Bel & Brio. I would have loved to dine in the restaurant but was just after a simple lunch eat. The salads in the Panini-Rotisserie-Pizza takeaway area looked good. Went for the Salad bowl ($8.50 takeaway) and picked 3 of the salads. I could have picked more for whatever fitted in the container. I couldn't see a menu display for how much the salads are on their own but ended up being very reasonably priced for the quality. They looked and tasted like freshly made salads and above average quality compared to other more commercial salad bars I've tried around the CBD. There's no seating available for takeaways which is a shame so you really need to make your way down to the waters edge or perhaps to the food court area. The fresh fruit and vege area looked good and fridges stocked with ready eat meals seem very reasonably priced. Near the cafe area there's tempting cakes and pastries. A wine store near the restaurant. I wish there was one of these closer to the CBD but for now Barangaroo are getting the benefits of this wonderful food lovers addition.
