I adored the Sweet Surrender 🍓🍯🌹. Would have never thought of putting this combination on toast. The flavours balanced beautifully. Perfect for people like me, who enjoy something sweet for brunch 😋
The ambiance here is so lovely, it's cozy, has great music and records available for purchase. The menus also opened up like records and all the dishes were song titles. I appreciate the attention to detail 🤗
Great place, nice staff, excellent atmosphere with good music.
Food is delicious!
One my favourite place in Surry Hills, I came several times and I will be back for sure.
You immerse yourself into a special and cool atmosphere when you're entering Suzie Q. It feels like you're entering someone's house and that someone really loves music and records. You can sit down by the window with a friend, have a coffee while discussing about anything. So cozy.
Most importantly, the food blew my mind every time i have been there. The first time I had their house poke bowl, which is probably the best one I have had in Sydney (see photo). The second time I had Harvest Moon which I absolutely recommend to mushroom lovers. Enjoy!
Slow Cooked Pork Shoulder : 😍 Amazing
Sentimental Journey : 😍 Amazing
Summer Latte : 😍 Amazing
The Cure Juice : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😍 Amazing
What isn’t there to love? The food, the drinks, the coffee, the service, the atmosphere and literally everything else in between was perfect. The Pork Shoulder Burger was found on the specials board and sold out very quickly! Sentimental Journey was something like a cheese platter but had its own unique twist. The coffee cannot be ignored here !! It was strong and bold. Easily the best coffee I’ve ever had.
I have to start by saying that ambience isn’t always something that bothers me too much, but it was definitely the first thing I noticed walking in. It is so relaxed and easy, it made the experience perrfect, along with the friendly and attentive service of course👌🏼. The organic food served here is unique and delicious. The pulled pork special, which hopefully comes back often, is a must have🤤
The sentimental journey was an interesting dish (reminded me of a cheeseboard!) and wasn’t what I expected receive. It was tasty, but I do recommend other things on the menu before this.
THE COFFEE BLEW MY MIND😵☕️ !! It is one of the best I’ve ever tasted with such a strong flavour, it is a must!!
Fresh little cafe in Surry with fresh sustainable produce. Service was friendly and helpful with taking orders. Food was fresh and delicious! Our table ordered the slow cooked lamb burger, Ocean trout Rye Sandwich and the Tartine. All was delicious, would definitely go back for breakfast/brunch.
Fresh seasonal produce which is tasty and beautifully presented, strong coffee, funky vibe, excellent service, great location (just off Albion St in Surry Hills), several gf options - see pic for their take on Bircher. I can’t fault the place. 5/5. Bravo!
Tasty and creative dishes, great music, eclectic and not pretentious design, good pricing, attentive and friendly service. Suzie Q has everything you wish for a perfect brunch with cliques 💕 A lot of yummy selections of vegan menus and non alcoholic drinks, too!! (this was great since I was on meat & alcohol fasting during the week)
This place has THE BEST breaky and lunch food you will find (probably dinner too, but I haven't had yet).
I don't know what the foodie version of a groupie is, but Suzie Q has got heaps - me included, for good reason.
Coffee has always been flavoursome and strong but the food is where its at. So damn tasty. The breaky eggs are always poached perfect and together with the mushrooms or salmon it's next level. Daily sandwiches are awesome and the soups are brilliant in winter.
I think I've had pretty much everything on the menu, and it's all amazing.
Small yet worthwhile place to have a brekkie on a Sunday morning. The food here are not only presented well, but have a great taste that will cheer up your morning. They always change their menu according to the seasons.
