Review Luke’s Kitchen - Sydney

Recently went for the Bottomless Brunch on Saturday and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and presented with such care. Particular favourite dishes were the Onion Tart and the Sashimi of Tasmanian Salmon. The drinks delicious and the staff were friendly, professional and wanted to ensure all guests had a good time. The chef came around to check on all guests which was such an amazing touch. I will definitely be back!

Simply a gem. Great value for money. Everything tastes nice. Friendly staff. I suggest to go for a drink in the lobby of the hotel prior to dinning which does not feel like a usual lobby.

Absolutely amazing food with five star service. It's the modern day fine dining at its best. Highly recommended as this place is booked out well in advance.

Beautiful Pre Theatre dinner in a stunning venue. Loved the food, especially the Steak Frites and Chocolate fondant.

Attended a bottomless brunch with friends here. The food and cocktails were amazing. The service was outstanding - special shout-out to Ant our waiter, who was attentive, funny and helped to create a special atmosphere for my friends birthday lunch

Place is booked out for lunch on Sunday when we tried to book on Saturday afternoon. We got 9.45am slot for breakfast. Zucchini fritters was out of stock, so is one of the bottled juice. We ordered Egg Benedict and Smoked Salmon. I preferred the Egg Benedict. Got the Glow juice with pomegranate and collagen, it has a bit of a kombucha feel to me. We got a small glass of complementary watermelon juice which is a nice touch.

One of my favourite fancy dinner spots in Sydney!! Formally known as “Mojo”, Luke’s Kitchen is an intimate and opened spaced restaurant in Waterloo, serving delicious dishes with that quirky Mangan flair.

Duck toastie was over shadowed by the terrible service. The place was a quarter full and the table service was slow. I had to ask whether it was order at the till or table service to have our order taken. 5 of us and three meals arrived but not the other two. They advised the orders were somehow on separate slips. We advised that our son was anaphylactic to dairy and egg so ordered avocado on toast. When it arrived in the second batch it had an egg on it. Won’t be coming back

We really enjoyed the cocktails, food and service. Luke himself turned up and mixed our Rocky Road dessert, which was a real treat. We hadn’t been to the previous incarnation “Mojo” but this dinner was very pleasant- spacious, quiet and the food was very good - share lamb shoulder, share fish with with a couple of entrees. A bonus is mains come with a side at no extra cost, rare now in Sydney.

Wines also reasonable by the bottle. We had a Vasse Felix 2014 Cab Sav at $68 which I thought was excellent Recommended.

Our party of four had an amazing dinner at Luke’s Kitchen. The service was impeccable and the team very personable & attentive, with waiters chatting and offering great menu recommendations when asked. Our glasses were never empty, with both water and wine glasses refilled without us even noticing while we chatted. These service qualities are rare in most restaurants in Sydney, in most cases you have to ask for your table to be cleared or for your glasses to be refilled.
The food was sensational and selection on the menu catered for us all, with too many delicious choices that we couldn’t try in one dinner. Our standout dishes were the lamb croquettes, gnocchi, braised beef & potato skins. All delicious and tasty, leaving us wanting more.
Ending our dinner on a high, we ordered the Rocky Road. A ‘must order’ dish for anyone who dines here. It’s a dessert for sharing and masterfully presented table-side by the waiter. You won’t be disappointed!!
Luke’s Kitchen is a great local neighbourhood gem, but should become a destination restaurant for any foodie. The menu is incredible with too many great choices for one dinner, so we’ll be back to try more dishes. Impeccable service, great wine list and an easy location with street parking. Will definitely be back soon.

Had the best time!! Went for their bottomless brunch on Saturday, such amazing value! $75 for all you can drink sparkling wine, mimosas, bellinis, 4 course sharing menu. The cod dip with pork scratchings was so good, the scrambled eggs were creamy and delicious and chorizo dish with mash the perfect winter dish and how can I forget the chocolate tart!! Heaven! To top it off, service was spot on, ambience just great. Highly recommend! Perfect place to go with a group of friends. We shall be back!

Wow. Everything about our dinner was perfect. I loved the theatre of mixing my cocktail at the table. The food was exquisite. The service was efficient and friendly. We were made to feel like family. For the quality of the food and service, the price was very reasonable. We will most certainly be returning to sample some of the other delights on the menu. Although I don’t think I’ll be able to say no to the duck egg, truffle and cheese toastie. Heaven!

Went to Luke's Kitchen for the first time for brunch on the weekend after finding them on Instagram... their Insta account @lukeskitchensyd is awesome! Was blown away! Such attentive and knowledgeable staff, decor is awesome, great vibe, food was delicious! Had the scrambled eggs with ocean trout pastrami and kale on sourdough and my boyfriend had the Big Breakfast - eggs perfectly cooked, food was perfectly balanced and seasoned! Grinders coffees were exceptional . The restaurant was packed! There was a line out the door, but staff were great and seated us quickly. It was worth the wait!

We have been going to Mojos (now Luke’s Kitchen) since it opened and love it, especially the truffle fries, kingfish sashimi, & duck pancakes.
Our group of 7 had dinner their on Valentines Day. It was a five course set menu. The restaurant was packed, however the service was impeccable. Luke came and asked us how our meals were. The cocktails were delightful & the wait staff were upbeat, friendly & knowledge.
Excellent food, drinks, service & atmosphere!!
