Quick scan through the reviews suggested the duck (pancake) rice paper roll, and the crab dumplings. Both of which were awesome. Good mix of flavours and textures, nothing overpowering, and you could really taste the crab and duck! Modern Vietnamese done well! Pricey and cash only but worth a visit.
Excellent Viet food. One of the best viet places in Sydney. Food is high quality ingredients.
Banh Xeo rice paper roll (duck or chicken): 5/5 stars.
I’ve had duck and chicken ....both were excellent. If u want lean meat then opt for the chicken). Duck is a hit or miss cuz sometimes can b too fatty, whereas other times it is lean and delicious. I prefer lean. The Banh Xeo in it is delicious and I like the fresh herbs and like how it is easy to eat and hold. Large portion. Only complaints r , sometimes (not all) the duck can b too fatty, also sometimes (not all) the Banh Xeo can be too greasy; so there’s inconsistency, but when they make it lean and non-Greasy then this dish is heaven, so balanced and yum!!
Lemongrass chicken: 5/5 stars. Perfect balance of flavours . Meat is lean. Good with rice or vermicelli noodles, but u have to add as a side cuz it doesn’t come with it. I love the tomatoes in this , very juicy. Great fragrance. Large portion.
Beef La Lot (beef grilled into betel leaves): 5/5 stars. Great sauce and great flavour. Love the grill flavour. Is very pricey though cuz portion is too small. I always order this.
Vegetarian curry: 5/5 stars. Lots of high quality veggies and huge portion. Love all the different veggies in it esp the exotic mushrooms and sweet potato. Yummmm! And so healthy. Best vegetarian curry I’ve ever tasted!!
Chicken vermicelli noodle with lettuce: 5/5 stars. Healthy. Fresh. Delicious. Flavours r On the plain side but I still like it cuz it taste light and healthy.
Bo Luc Lot (beef cubes in a salad): 1/5 stars. Horrible. Too much sauce that it makes it not eatable. The sauce Is supposed to act like a dressing for the salad but there is soooo much of the sauce that it turns this dish into a soup, so disappointing. Sauce was also too sweet.
Service: very friendly. Great.
Delivery: we use Deliveroo. Deliveroo takes a very long time to get to us in the cbd , I live near world square/ town hall station. So I just order the food an hour before I want to eat it cuz delivery takes a long time due to its location so it has trouble finding a rider. Food arrives cold so I have to microwave. Not the restaurants fault. Food here is so yum that I still order delivery even tho it’s slow. Because I know that, I just order way in advance and don’t worry about it.
Cons: they don’t have Pho here, bummer. Location is far from Cbd So it’s a far walk for me. Prices r expensive.

Phamish, has been one of my utmost favourite eateries in East Sydney for years. It never disappoints. I looove everything on their menu but my utmost favourites are the Squid , the rice paper rolls and the crab money bags. The food is fresh , served promptly and its super delicious!
If you are looking for or Vietnamese cuisine this is the place. The rice paper roll is a must try at the place. the services are really friendly.
I want to give them 4.5 but why skimp on 0.5, they never skimp on flavour!! Phamish is modern vietnamese and they do it well. One I would recommend to friends, I've rarely been disappointed by anything I've ordered.
A very good place for takeout or dine in. The tastes are quite authentic and they have a variety of international beer as well. The place can get a bit too crowded during peak meal time and you tend to sit a bit too close to other people. The other thing is about having to order at the counter, which can be a bummer if you are in between meals. Also, if you are an individual like myself, you tend to get stuck with either too less to fill you or too much to do justice.
Small, casual place that reminds me a lot of Asia due to the cramped seating. We were a group of six and the consensus was that the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and the dishes we ordered were full of flavours. I wouldn't say all the dishes were authentic Vietnamese though. At some point, one of my friends asked the staff where they were from because they looked Thai and funnily enough, they were all from Thailand. It was a Friday evening and we didn't have to wait long for a table. It's BYO too so some of us went to get a few drinks and we were pretty much seated after we got back. Good choices on the menu with reasonable prices.

Great range of gluten free food. Ask for the gluten free menu.
A good range of these were vegetarian.
Great food, quickly served and great service.
Delicious food! We had soft shell crab salad, wagyu beef and signature dish duck pancakes which are really Vietnamese rolls (have nothing to do with pancakes which was confusing).
All were delicious and served very quickly even though the restaurant was 70% full.
Book in advance, since the restaurant is very popular.
Definitely will be back to try other items from the menu which looked quite interesting and seemed to be outside of the standard/usual dishes found in common Vietnamese restaurants in Australia.
Price-wise, without drinks, 2 mains and 1 entre cost and 1 rice $65. This was enough for the 3 of us without overeating.
Great food and wonderful service. There is a large variety of exceptionally well made dishes. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.
