Review Fratelli Fresh - Sydney

Tiffany Vines
Delicious food and a great option when we didn't want food hall food while with our two small children. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. The gnocchi and pizzas were delicious, hubs loved the calamari. One Star off as we thought pricing was a little high.

We came here on our first night in Sydney after reading the menu online. The service was incredible, we had a lovely waiter who looked after us extremely well and the food was great. We luckily caught their happy hour specials and it was well worth it so we would definitely come back to eat here again.

They do a nice pasta and decent pizza, but the they charge fine dining prices but don't deliver on the same level of service. Our waiter didn't tell us about the specials until we find it on the website and asked about it. He had no idea we could settle our book simply by paying with Qantas Frequent Flyer points. First of i was told I had to pay in full before claiming it back on points. Then I was told the Qantas app want working so I couldn't pay with it. A second ipad magically appeared when I insisted it should work but then I was overcharged when I paid using a Qantas Frequent Flyer points. I emailed Fratelli Fresh customer service an hour later with a screenshot of points deducted and a copy of my tax invoice but never got any response back. Terrible customer service and exorbitant prices. Stay away! They do good pasta but it's not worth the your trouble. Very disappointing to think they are even connect to the rockpool group who I've previously had great experiences with.

I had the calamari, tortellini and pizza. Very nice tortellini, though couldn't really taste the mushroom. The medium rare steak was too rare and the fat wasn't rendered. The area deep inside is not well ventilated, so my hair and clothes smell like oil. It was difficult (as was the case in the Westfield one) to get the waitress's attention.

Huge space located underground in the CBD! We had a lunch over there. The food came pretty fast considering there were large groups ordering the same time. The quality of food was great and the flavours on all dishes were perfect.

We came here for the first time and had heard good reviews on all Fratelli Fresh chains from various friends. We ordered: 1. Glass of Pinot Nero 2. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza 3. Crab Spaghettini 4. Vanilla Pannacotta 5. Tirasmisu We enjoyed every single item that we ordered. The Prawn & Garlic Pizza was very tasty and fresh. Big balls of cherry tomatoes and onions which added sweetness to the pizza and good little chunks of prawns were to be seen too. Our fave was the Crab Spaghettini. It was evident that they were quite generous with the amount of crab spread throughout the pasta and it was just beautiful in its flavour and presentation. Definitely keen for this again! I loved my Vanilla Pannacotta. It had the perfect wobble and creaminess to it and paired beautifully with the passionfruit sauce and apricots. The Tiramisu is a very generous serve! My husband struggled to finish it! He said it was probably one of the best Tiramisus he’s ever had! So impressed with our meal that I signed up for the rewards program. You get this cute little key ring with “Fratelli Fresh” on it! The only downside was that there were a lot of people there so it was a little loud and hard to carry a conversation. It’s a good sign though that they were so packed. The bathrooms are also very quirky, combining a big space with mens’ and womens’ cubicles once you walk in and the hand basins are communal and shared. There’s also a private dining room for those who wish to have a private function. It’s a funky restored old space. Will be back for sure.

The zucchini flower was soggy and disappointing. The polenta was flavourless. The pizza was good. The atmosphere is pretty good. Overall an average experience.

Came here for our 6 years anniversary during our honeymoon in Sydney. The place is packed with customers. It was super loud too. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere then this is the place for you. The food was delicious. First time eating a seafood spaghetti where it was slightly spicy. 👍

I've had really positive experiences at Fratelli Fresh (great ravioli, risotto and pizzas) so when my friends from Hong Kong were in town last night I took them here around 7:45pm... But things got awkward quickly when the waitress made us feel really unwelcome.<br/><br/>She was noticeably irritated and really unfriendly/brash while speaking to us to the point where my friends (who are 2 very quiet and introverted girls) asked me "Are we in trouble? Did we do something wrong?" I wish I knew how to answer them :(<br/><br/>I felt really bad that I suggested to come here and would probably avoid taking new friends here after our experience last night

First things first — honestly, the food here is pretty good. The pizza is nice and chewy, the cheesy is stretchy and delicious, the sauce is nicely seasoned.<br/><br/>However. It's very difficult to look past the ridiculous delay we had during our group lunch at 2pm. I can understand a slightly extended wait, let's say up to 25 minutes, on a big group right after peak lunch hour. Waiting an hour though? Nah. Can't quite look past that, and it's a shame.<br/><br/>Margherita: 8/10

Delicious pasta, good service.<br/><br/>Excellent flavour in the prawn linguini pasta. The pasta was not quite al dente, everything else was great. Would have the same pasta again

If you want to eat Italian, this is a good choice. Nice pizzas. I like the Margherita and the Prawns variety but they are all good. For pasta, I always order the spaghettini with crab and chilli. It is delicious and you can share between two people. Value-wise can be a bit expensive but it is slightly more upmarket and trendy than your average pizzeria. You pay for what you get. Service can be a bit patchy, depending how busy they are.

This is a bit of a delayed post but a while ago, my friends and I took advantage of the endless anti-pasti boards deal. To our disappointment, the portions were very small and the &#039;endless&#039; was not in fact, limitless. There was a limit to only 3 refills. While this was our own fault in not reading the tiny font, I couldn&#039;t help but feel completely scammed. Ever since then, I have not returned to take advantage of any either deals because of their tiny portions. Despite the popularity of this place, you can definitely find more stomach filling Italian elsewhere in the CBD.

The happy hour special is really great value as you can sample a range of their dishes. The brushetta and calamari were really nice and moreish. My favourite was the pizza, beautiful base and delicious spicy topping

Not sure why this place e is rated so high. I wanted to get the cheese wheel pasta. Is was not served in a cheese wheel at all. The place had no reception. And a lot of bar stools which were uncomfortable after a while.

Kind of disappointing that the only vegan pasta option is to substitute something for zucchini noodles. And to top it off, despite zucchini being a basic, cheap vegetable it costs $3 extra to regular pasta. I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re getting the pizzas (which are good and have vegan cheese) but would suggest the chefs and owners to bring a gluten free vegan flour based pasta to the table as i was left hungry after my lunch.

A popular restaurant. Food cooked in front of you if you want to watch. A bit frantic with staff racing around trying to serve large numbers of diners. Hard seats. Food good and reasonably priced for the city.Would recommend to go with some friends had a great time there.

Fratelli Fresh is always consistently good, especially the pizzas and pastas. The service can be hit and miss at times but you always leave with a full and happy belly. Good wine list too! #frattellifresh #lobster

I’ve been there a few time during the years. I found the consistency of the same dish varies. So does the quality of the food. <br/><br/>I had better Italian food for the same price tag...

Giving 5-stars here to this place for me is very easy and I'll explain why, this place is 300m from my office and they do a happy-hour from 3-6 where they do 3 cocktails, house beers, wines and 2 classic pizzas (the margherita and the diavola) for $5, yes, only $5 which is so much value.<br/>So having 2 pints and a pizza after a long day makes everything better and knocks me down by only $15. on top of that, they do daily lunch specials which also brings down the prices.<br/>About the food, its good quality, fresh ingredients and full of flavour, I like the fettuccine and prawn but my favourite is the Bresaola and Burratta pizza (which I have on Tuesdays as they do 2-1 pizzas that day), the staff is also a very nice and attentive.
SDeans
The cocktails are alright (tried the bellini and negroni), pasta is pretty good (tried the fettucine with seafood, linguine with prawn) and the desserts are excellent (tiramisu and hazelnut gelato).<br/><br/>Service is friendly and efficient. The place seems quite spacious.
Eunifoodie
Nice ambience and food was pretty good. We got the signature set menu which included an antipasti board to share, main and dessert each. I liked the lamb salad and banoffee pie. However, they served us the wrong gelato - we ordered salted caramel & hazelnut flavour but they gave us coffee - but they refused to believe that they gave us the wrong flavour and said that that’s what it’s supposed to taste like...ummm I’m pretty sure I know what coffee tastes like and the gelato literally had zero salted caramel & hazelnut taste...<br/>Disappointing service towards the end of what would’ve been a great experience
FussFreeFoodie
Highly recommended if you want fantastic food and attentive service. Not the place for an intimate conversation (very loud!). The pizza was among the best we've had (and we've had a lot of good pizza!)
Kriti
Visited this place for a friend’s birthday celebration.<br/>Most of my friends are vegetarians and this place impressed us all with the range of vegetarian options on the menu. The tiramisu was the best!!
Aimee.
Cheap weekday happy hour specials. $5 cocktails and pizzas. Great place to go for cheap drinks and dinner after work. However the place gets extremely busy and staff become lazy, ignorant and rude.

We ordered the set menu for two people, it included an antipasto board, one main for each person with a plate of rocket & Parmesan salad to share & one dessert each. It was satisfying. 😎 The antipasto board was excellent, there was a good variety of cold & hot food on the board. Everything was freshly made & prepared. A great starter to the meal. 🙂 <br/><br/>For the main we ordered a pasta & a pizza. The prawns were big & fresh in the pasta, there was a chilli kick in the sauce which was tasty, wish there was more sauce & more prawny taste it it though. 😌 The pizza was delicious with generous toppings. I particularly loved the Vannella cheese smoked mozzarella balls, they had a beautiful smokiness and lovely texture. The dough was nice & chewy but a little burnt on the base, somehow tasted a little bitter. 😬 <br/><br/>Excellent service, staff was friendly & helpful. Alcohol drinks are a bit pricey, if you like to try their cocktails & wine, should go there during happy hour. 😚

Great place for pasta on a cold winters night, the pasta's are tasty and hearty. The red wine selection is good and extensive. The desserts menu isn't something to pass on either. <br/><br/>Probably one of my favorite Italian restaurants this end of town and I can see why they've been able to branch out to so many locations.
Scrambled Ebs
Went here last night for dinner with some colleagues as it was convenient to our hotel. We were greeted by a gentleman who asked how many and did we have a booking. No we didn't. He seemed to wince as if this could be a problem - the place was only half full so this seemed odd. He never returned. 2 others spoke to us at the door before we were seated. When we were seated we were given water glasses but no water. We requested water with our order and then twice more before receiving any. The food itself was okay - I had the lamb ragu and it was too salty. I like salty flavours but I felt it was unnecessarily so. The prices were reasonable and the pizzas looked good so I wish I went with a pizza. Much easier to get good pizza than good pasta! I didn't hate it but didn't love it either and would probably not return.
Grace
Really good location for afterwork dinner/drinks. On contrary to the other reviews, we actually enjoyed our time there. The lobster pasta was cooked al dente and had just enough sauce to coat the pasta and not cover your white top with red spots, although we did hope for more lobster for $39. Happy hours runs mon-fri from 4-6pm. I mean espresso martini's for $5, top another $5 for a margherita?! That's a steal. Giving it 4/5 as they burnt the pizza the first time but the staff were really apologetic and had it replaced.

Absolutely loved Fratelli Fresh 😍 this underground restaurant is perfect for a chilled night out with friends, a romantic date night and anything else <br/>Loved the vibe and dim lighting, being able to see the talented chefs cooking your meal is an added bonus, the food is absolutely amazing, authentic Italian so delicious 😍 will definitely be returning when I’m next in Sydney
Deb
Love this place. We had lunch over the weekend, not that busy compare to weekdays. The ambience and service was great.<br/>All food were yumm, only took 2 pictures. Will take more next time.<br/>Dessert just perfect traditional italy and pasta cooked perfectly.<br/>Definitely come back.

What an overrated, overpriced, overly stingy restaurant. My girlfriend and I stopped by for a spontaneous dinner, both of us first timers here, and what a disappointment it was...<br/>We ordered the mushroom truffle pizza & the crab spaghettini. The texture of the pizza was odd, the cheese was wet and slimy, though the pasta was quite delicious, there wasn't anything so special about it.<br/>The biggest WOW factor... would have to be the cost of our dinner, at $60, for a pizza and a pasta..?! What the...!<br/>Average service, average servings and average seating; this is simply a restaurant with good branding and marketing, who has sucked us in, this time. Ouch! Lesson learned.... Ciao forever, never again.

I use to work for a place called quality food centre auburn, they would sell out off date products by years.i once seen really expensive  prosciutto that was 2 years out off date sold, they would use a dangerous strong chemical called acetone to remove the dates and put new dates on.that acetone was stored in the cheese room where cheese and other products were prepared,i once seen the bottle off acetone with a drenched rag off acetone sitting on the same bench to prepare parmesan,i seen a cat put on the scales then parmasan cheeses weighed on the same scales without been wiped,i seen products that cat had called threw and started eating just taped up and sold, some off there customers they supplied to were, candeloris-smithfield,catalina rosebay, the newport hotel, the beresford hotel, the coogee bay hotel, the ivy,the hilton, via napoli, lane cove, surry hills, hunters hill, vacanza surry hills,orazio-bondi,icebergs-bondi,all the crinitis restaurants, otto woolomooloo, kingsleys woolomooloo, star city casino-balla,momo.ventuno-the rocks, all the fratelli fresh stores, pardiso fratelli-the cross, theres many more top places in sydney-theres a  good chance you have eaten from them.

Worst Italian I have ever had. Anyone could cook better pasta than this place. I have been multiple times and tried different pasta dishes hoping one would be decent but they are all super salty. So disappointed.
Tortuguita Comiendo
I haven't been here in years and the last time I came everything was delicious so I was a bit disappointed with the good this time around.<br/><br/>My friends and I ordered a few pastas and pizza to share. The prosciutto pizza was nice with a nice chewy base and lots of toppings. <br/><br/>The pastas we got were spaghetti carbonara, fettuccini meatballs and mushroom and truffle gnocchi. The carbonara was amazing. The meatballs fettuccini was average with the pasta being a bit soft. And the gnocchi was sub optimal as the gnocchi itself was really soft and the sauce didn't have much truffle flavour.<br/><br/>For dessert we got the famous banoffee tart and the chocolate cannoli. The banoffee definitely lives up to its reputation. The cannoli was ok.<br/><br/>For the price the food could definitely have been better and along with the really noisy atmosphere it wouldn't be on the top of my list to return.

The lobster pasta was really good! It's also a great place for group lunch or dinner. If you join the Fratelli membership, you will receive 25% off on Monday.

Awful and full of disappointment. Went to celebrate a momentous milestone in life with a friend and Fratelli fresh came to mind for the occasion. Downhill experience from the moment we walked in. We were seated at the bar next to the open door, subjected to the winter chill. I went to the front desk and asked if we could have a table instead and were happy to wait. I was told that i wouldn't be able to get a table as I didn't make a reservation and the woman insisted that my friend and I sat at the bar, subjected to Sydney's winter chill. I went to the bathroom and saw a line of empty tables and was offended as I was told there was no chance of getting a table. During the meal, I tried to get service multiple times and made eye contact with one particular waiter, only to have her ignore me. However, the other waiter that did serve me was lovely, which was a shame because the inconsistent treatment ruined the experience. If it wasn't for that one lovely waiter, I would have rated it 0 stars. The food was average at best and had lost the appeal that lured me in the first time i had stumbled into here. They don't seem to have the handmade pasta anymore.
Love At First Bite
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus<br/><br/>Great chain Italian restaurant that does pizza and pasta dishes. We have been here on several occasions and ordered their lamb and potato and ham and mushroom pizza as well as their prawn spaghetti and gnocchi. On the second occasion we ordered their lasagne and spinach and ricotta ravioli. Everything was authentic and cooked well!

The underground dungeon along Bridge Street is home to the vibrant and energetic Fratelli Fresh, an Italian casual dining chain famous for their consistency and atmospheric experience. Their unassuming yet well balanced menu is a cornerstone of their success. And the humongous crowd at arguably their CBD flagship is a testament to their good work.<br/><br/>Food wise, the zucchini flowers and four cheese pizzas were pretty ordinary. The zucchini flowers, on one hand, was juicy and explosive on the inside and crispy on the outside. However, the lack of anything fresh or surprising (Try Grappolo) makes it another nondescript zucchini fritters. The pizza was also average. The crust was thin enough to support the weight of the ingredients but the edges were too thick and resembled a bread more than pizza. Probably the most interesting thing of the evening was an intriguing performance by the chef who juggled with his pizza dough and rolled them to his fellow kitchen crew.

Incredibly awful... Totally tasteless. Pasta & rissoto. Looks much better than it tastes. But great tiramisu indeed. Never come back. So disappointed.

This Fratelli Fresh is located on Bridge Street. Enter down the stairs and the first thing you'll see is the pizza oven. The service is friendly and approachable. <br/><br/>The waitress serving us informed us that they had run out of spaghetti with lobster (okay with us as neither of us wanted that) and the duck pappardelle (I was a bit devastated as had earmarked that for lunch and had to choose another). <br/><br/>We ordered House Baked Focaccia which was delivered promptly and tasted delicious. It was served with a nice olive oil and balsamic. It was moreish. The Spaghetti Alla Carbonara had a lovely yolk coating the spaghetti. The flavours of the parmesan and pork were tasty. The Bistecca Beef Steak was cooked as requested and served with nice potatoes.
Kev
It was busy so service was very slow. Chilli prawns for entree was fantastic. Pizza and pasta were ok. Nothing wrong but nothing great either

Been here a few times, the pizza is consistently tasty though some are nicer than others. Tried the black truffle pizza on a Friday night and was thoroughly impressed with how nice it was, not too overpowering. <br/>The arancini was also very good, a huge serving compared to other places - 8 balls!! I was very happy. Could do with a bit more mayo though - maybe on top? <br/>Place is usually very full, but the wait doesn't take too long since there are a lot of tables. Ambience is very energetic and they have a decent drinks selection too - what more could you ask for?

Fratelli Fresh is an enormous Italian restaurant in the heart of the Sydney CBD on Bridge Street close to the tourist mecca of Circular Quay. It has had a long standing reputation of providing quality Italian at a reasonable price and enjoys healthy crowds as a result. <br/><br/>Tonight is no different and the five of us sit at a high table towards the back of the restaurant in relative comfort, except for the lower bar of the table that is at leg height when on a stool. Everyone who serves us is friendly and helpful, but they are clearly under the pump, often having to politely ask to come back, and rarely pro-active.
Martin Newman
I felt like they should have extended the name to Fratelli Too Fresh. We changed tables in fact to escape the chilling air conditioning blasting down on us. Service was good. Food was OK; But for the overall cost, with a bottle of Pete's Pure Shiraz Pinot Noir 2016 on top, not really worth it. I had the lamb ragu penne which was fairly plain but heavily parmesaned before it reached me. My colleague had lobster linguini - the creme of their pasta dishes - which was fine. The wine was a good drop and our entree of stuffed zucchini flowers, while looking like white mice, were tasty and well made. Acceptable but I won't be rushing back.

Much bigger and busier than it looks from the photos, but still a great place to have dinner and have a conversation. Food was delicious and very well priced. Service was prompt and friendly. The waitress even apologised for the wait on our mains.
Olga Reynolds
Horrible experience at FF Walsh Bay. Went there in a group of seven for Sunday dinner. Nearly half of the items on the menu not available. Though booked well in advance the table wasn't even ready when we arrived. Hardly anyone else in the room. Service not-so-friendly. Food awful. "Prawn spaghetti" is a disguise for six or seven overcooked frozen shrimps on top of a bowl of underwhelming pasta with plain tomato sauce. Mushroom risotto, lasagne al forno, lamb ragu, don't bother. Frozen dinners from your local Seven Eleven will taste the same. Polenta and chicken liver pate were at least edible. The waitress asked in the end if there would be any tips. Don't think so. There are so many better ways to spend you $60 pp for dinner in Sydney.
TheFatCouple
Always a top choice for us when we want a long working lunch. The location is perfect, just so close to our office in Martin Place!<br/><br/>Pizza done perfectly, pasta cooked al dente - there really is no wonder why we always choose this place!<br/><br/>You can't leave without having the Banoffee Pie for dessert - you'd be crazy not to!
Andrew Micallef
Great food, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Wait staff could have been a little more attentive however the experience as a whole was a good one. Definitely recommend and will be back.
It's CAKe Time
For me, they have stand out pastas always cooked just right, generous portion size and excellent flavour. The basic spog bol was better than some fancy pastas in other restaurants and the lamb ragu was just luxurious. So many pieces of tender fall-apart slow cooked lamb, in a mellow tomato base – not too much watery sauce, but not too little – perfecto!
Rebecca Tay
The lasagna was full of tomato-ey goodness and tasted a lot cleaner (but lacked cheese) than your regular lasagna. The fish was cooked well but a smaller portion than we were expecting. <br/>We didn't wait too long for food service but noticed other tables waiting as the restaurant filled up.
Miffy7
I have been to this location a few times before but with the Dimmi special for the month of January, we just had to go!<br/><br/>As it was a Saturday lunch, the restaurant was relatively quiet (previously, I don't think this location opened for lunch). But service fr staff were super friendly and the food was good. We loved their zucchini flowers which was stuffed with 5 Italian cheese. They were generous as well! Each zucchini flower plump and crispy. <br/><br/>For mains, we had their lamb ragu and I shared with my son their special menu item which was osso bucco tagliatelle. This was very good, with the meat soft and tender. It even had some marrow in the bone! We ordered their mixed salad leaves and I had their house rose and my husband opted for a Italian beer. <br/><br/>To end our lunch we had their banoffee tart which was cheaper than before but the base wasn't as crunchy as we remembered. We also tried two gelato from their cart. Nocciotella swirl (Nutella) and pistachio crunch with the Nutella being better out of the two. We were all very full after the lunch but overall found their food a bit on the salty side.<br/><br/>
Picturesque Food
Decided to have lunch in Westfield's Fratelli Fresh. Ambience and setting was quite nice. Ordered a pizza and some pasta. Pasty was very tasty, however, the pizza was just okay. <br/>
Peter D
No where near as good as it used to be - slaw used to be exceptional now disappointing and half the serving. tiramisu was irresistible - now very unappetising served in a coffee cup.- wouldn't recommend any more.

Pasta ninja!!<br/><br/>Tasty pizza with flavourful pasta how can you not like it? <br/><br/>Nice romatic layout with Italian decor, the smell of melted cheese and pizza cooking!!!<br/><br/>They are running a special set menu for sydney festival $30 will get you 1 main, 1 wine and a gelato!!<br/><br/>Until next time ... Keep eating !!<br/><br/>

Totally disappointing. Have been a huge fan of Fratelli Fresh resturants for a number of years but in recent months the standard and variety of food has dropped to such an extent that I don't even recognise the restaurant anymore. We thought we'd give it two more goes to be fair but unfortunately it was still substandard compared to what it used to be. The zucchini flowers were great but the pasta's and pizza's lacked flavour. Instead of focusing on seasonality, interesting dishes and flavour which made them so popular the dishes seem more Italian 'fast food' style now
Alison Gay
Our son took us to dinner here last week. He was excited...how disappointing. My meal of chicken schnitzel came out , the chicken fillet was so thin the crumbs soggy , my sons pasta dish was ok, but my husband pizza was late in coming that we had to eat our meals or they would have gone cold while he waited for his that came 15 minutes later. Not worth the wait as the main ingredient they used was the tomato base ... no cheese and a few prawns.<br/>I would have to think twice before returning.<br/>This was at the Walsh bay Restaurant
Marnie Prowse
Terrible service and terrible food. Went last night for an early dinner so there were only a few tables filled, we were seated near the window which has a lovely outlook but so hot, would hate to be there when it's busy. I had to get up and ask for our order to be taken. First our sparkling water came out and plonked on the table with no glasses and when I asked the waiter didn't hear and kept on walking - we got them from another table. I ordered the mushroom risotto, which was awful - I couldn't eat it. It had 2 slices of mushrooms in it and was extremely bland and the rice was hard not al dente m, it got stuck in my teeth. When my husband explained to the manager how disappointed we were he did not care, did not try to apologise or fix the problem, he was very rude - he begrudgingly didn't charge us for my meal. Overall terrible, will not be going back. I used to love Fratelli Fresh, but this left a very bad taste in my mouth (literally!)
Nicole Yap
Food was good but Service is alright - the wait for food was 30 minutes!!! At least the food tasted good but wouldn't want to come back here if the food was to take this long again...

Our third visit to Fratelli Fresh Bridge Street and it may be the last.<br/><br/>A Tuesday night and a table for three. The first two guests order as the third is late possibly a no show. We were asked if we would like ask our food brought out together, two mains and two sides. We agree.<br/><br/>Our third guest arrives two minutes later and we add one more main to the order and again confirmed it will be brought out together.<br/><br/>Around ten minutes later my main arrives from the original order and we are told the rest is coming. I of course politely wait for the other meals so we can eat and enjoy them together. <br/><br/>25 minutes later and no sign of the others. We enquire and are told they are coming. Two more minutes and the next dish arrives while the waitress explains the kitchen is backlogged and operates on some kind of process resulting in meals being timed differently. She says there is nothing she can do about it. <br/><br/>The rest of the food arrives and finally we eat together. I ordered the chicken scalopinne which was delicious and huge. My friend ordered the prawn pasta and is sadly disappointed. The pasta is tough, over cooked and generally unpleasant.<br/><br/>The staff ask why the pasta has not been eaten and my friend explains is basically not very nice. The manager comes over to enquire some more.<br/><br/>By this stage we are very disappointed by our experience and just want out. My friend may have been a little short with the manager and for this we apologise.<br/><br/>However the simple basics of a quality restaurant were failed tonight. <br/><br/>The food was brought out with timing gaps so large, another seating could have taken place. And our waitress was dismissive of the experience and explained there was nothing she could do, which translates to shut up. <br/><br/>To our waitress, there was something you could have done. You could have apologised to your guest and shown some compassion. That may have saved the night much earlier.<br/><br/>To the manager, thank you for identifying that things had not gone to sell. Your offer of complimentary dessert and drinks was greatly appreciated however we just wanted to leave by this time.<br/><br/>Dear manager, thank you for removing the pasta dish from our bill and for the complimentary water. We were impressed by your decisiveness and your attempts to save our night.<br/><br/>I'm not sure we will be back. The food is generally good and the prices are very reasonable, however when your last customer experience is less than ideal, you will pause and think, do I want to try that again in a city with so much to offer?<br/>

The prawn spaghetti is really nice, the lamb is slightly dry! We went on a Friday night, they were very busy, food did took about 45min to prepare. The wait staff were very lovely! Worth going, but not special enough for me to go back again.
Lunch Pie
I had been so excited to be coming here tonight as it had been 1 year since my last time. To say I was disappointed by this evening is an understatement. Service is disorganised. I had to signal to staff to approach. Ordered prosciutto and mushroom pizza. My friend ordered meatballs with spaghetti. Let's start with the pizza. There was no tomato which made it super dry. Plus, the crust formed at least 30% of the pizza. The topping was super stingy. I handed it back and gave honest feedback. Lovely waitress who went to the the chef and explained..he made me another pizza...with tomato...which also happened to be burnt and stingy toppings again. My friends dish was plain....as she quoted "something you'd put together at home yourself," . We then decided to get dessert. I went for banoffi....utter disappointment. Massively thick biscuit base with tiny amount of caramel and banana. It was so dry and tasteless. Processed and factory made by the looks and taste of it. All in all.....I've lost my liking for this chain. Not worth the money and I won't be in any hurry to come back

Pizza was burnt to ashes. Complained about it by email (unfortunately it was take away and I didn't realize until too late), but never heard back. They will not be hearing back from me. This place is overrated and now relies solely on legacy goodwill IMHO. Better use of your dough going to Made in Italy or Panzerotti.

I actually really liked the pasta here!! If I were judging it on pasta only I'd give it a 4/5. However the pizza was not amazing, topping was sparse and had fallen to only one side of the pizza! I tried the prawn pasta, lobster pasta and carbonara. All three were delicious! The lobster pasta was a smaller serving size than the other pastas i did notice though, however there was an okay amount of lobster and the flavour was spot on. The prawn pasta was probably the best tasting and had a lot more on the plate. The place was buzzing, I will be back for sure. It's one of the better Italian restaurants I've gone to in the city and the prices are not outrageous

Had a nice evening with friends, I had a pizza which I would say was pretty good and can't complain. Only annoying thing was we booked at table and on arrival found our table had been given away so had to wait 30mins for a table. Not a huge inconvenience but annoying. Food still good and I would recommend it.

Went on a Friday evening and the place was buzzing. we didn't have a reservation but were seated instantly. ordered a zucchini flower each ($4.95) and it was TINY!! delicious but tiny. Shared a rav, whch was significantly over salted... the parmesan adds salt to the rav but there were salt sprinkled over the top of the rav too - lucky we shared this otherwise it would have been difficult to eat. Ordered banoffe for dessert and it was yummy, although again, a very small slice for approx. $10.. don't think I will go back again (not to their westfield chain anyway).

If I wrote this review 3 months ago, it would have been a 4.5. However my laziness to write and eagerness to eat led me back to fratelli fresh again, and unfortunately the experience want consistent. <br/><br/>I understand restaurants get busy, and that sometimes you might be shoved in a teeny tiny corner with no room, but it crosses the busy border and into annoying land when your waitress forgets your table exists. Drinks are forgotten and food comes out sporadically, it just shouldn't happen. <br/><br/>We even had to steal a pepper grinder off someone else's table because our waitress seemingly forgot to return.<br/><br/>I can't fault the food, and their banoffee pie is the best in Sydney. The service just needs some fine tuning.
Coffeebrunchanddinner
This is a popular dinner spot in the cbd packed with city workers pretty much everyday of the week. Pricing is very reasonable and there is a great selection of wines on offer however the servings are not huge. You really can't go wrong with the pastas here and it's the perfect date spot. Bookings are recommended especially for groups.

Regarding the service, I went to the Westfield Sydney one early on Sunday morning to buy a few coffees. I was quite confused as to which register to order from so I approached the lady standing where there door was that greets/ seats you and told her I wanted to order take away coffee. She asked for my order twice and my partner also told her, then she walked over to the till and began pressing a bunch of buttons then she said sorry I forgot what you said what was your order again so fourth or fifth time repeating the order. She then walks over to another staff member and they approach the register and asked what I was after , seriously? again ? the girl originally taking my order then said I don't know how to use this . Okay ? so why did you bother and waste our time trying when you could of seeked someone who knew what they were doing to begin with. All up just ordering 1 hot chocolate , 1 mocha and 2 cappuccinos took a good 20 mins or so. Ridiculous and it wasn't even busy it's just a lack of training.

Hidden at the basement of the old Burns Philip building and near Moran Healthcare, I finally manage to make my way here. No reservations and they sit me at the counter where I have a full view of the lunch time hustle and bustle. There is music in the background but that has been muffled by the patrons' bantering - it feels so right. <br/><br/>I order the arancini for starters. It arrives in less than 3 mins. Well presented. Nice warm fresh. Very happy with the choice. Topped with Parmesan shavings and accompanied by a dollop of mayo. By the fourth arancini, I am full. They are such a stomach filler.<br/><br/>The spaghetti arrives not long after. The prawns are fresh and the pasta done just right. There is minimal salt, which is positively interesting. Whilst the chilli is very mild, the fresh prawns carry the dish. On a pricing perspective, it's not exactly cheap.<br/> <br/>If you want fine dining with views, this ain't the place unless you have a shoe fetish. However, if you are up for a good wholesome meal with a buzzing envrion, this IS the place. Whilst being owned by the same people as the Bavarian Beer joints around town, Fratelli Fresh is a unique chain which has a wonderful and efficient charm akin to the Carluccio's outlets that you find around the UK. Next time I'll try a pizza.

Loved the food here. juicy pizzas, traditional ambience, friendly staff..... recommended for people who are looking for authentic ambience.

We are regulars but this is our first visit after the change in management. Food was at the same standard. Service was very hit and miss. I gave a miss (probably more out of habit than a reflection of my appreciation) and did not get a smile, a "thank you" or acknowledgement of any form!
Snapshots Of Food
We have heard many great things about Fratelli Fresh and since Christie had a craving for wood fired pizza, we decided to visit Fratelli Fresh in Macquarie Street. Sadly the cravings go astray as not only did it not satisfy her cravings but it left us feeling a little disappointed by the end of the night. That aside, the service was great and the food was brought out quick and hot!

Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of Fratelli Fresh. We ordered the "wild mushroom with tagliatelle and reggiano," "lamb ragu with rosemary, chilli and penne" and "prosciutto crutto and funghi pizza" (ham, mushroom, smoked scarmoza). The wild mushroom pasta was tasteless. I felt like I was eating boiled pasta that I could have made at home for $2. Occasionally I would get a sort of vinegary/winery taste but it didn't go well with the dish at all, it needed some sort of sauce. The mushrooms were also tasteless and the pasta itself felt a little tough. The lamb ragu was more pleasant and although it did have some flavour this time, it was very mild and should have been stronger. The lamb itself was delicious and very tender. The pizza was average. Again, lacking in sauce. And it felt bare (as you can see in the photo). Definitely could have used with some more topping. Service was great and very friendly, however I wouldn't visit again.

Fratelli fresh - Came in here during vivid after booking it earlier I the day. I'm a massive fan of fratelli fresh for their fresh pizzas and pastas. we shared the zucchini flowers which were fried and had a nice creamy cheese with it. Next up we shared the meatballs and pasta - absolutely love the flavour provided in their meatballs which I can never complain about. We also shared a Margherita pizza which was tasty but seemed to be rushed and the quality therefore was a little missing as they were trying to cater for the large amount of people in the restaurant. The vibe of the place is good although at times it is too loud and often service can therefore lack a little. The lighting isn't great for photographs. We also had home made lemon lime bitters which was nice and fresh as well. <br/>

I've been struggling to find a decent Italian place in Sydney and so I came here early on a Wednesday night after work for dinner with high hopes. We had a booking so we were seated straight away, but by the time we left (around 7pm) it was very busy with loads of people waiting for a table so I'd recommend making a booking. Overall it has a great ambience - It's a very large and noisy restaurant, and quite dimly lit, but you can see chefs working at the woodfire ovens tossing fresh pizza dough in the air. The aroma that fills the room is amazing and you notice it right away-  freshly baked bread, woodfired pizza and roast garlic. This was a promising sign. <br/><br/>My friends and I ordered some pastas and a pizza. I ordered the lamb ragu penne with rosemary. Food came out at a reasonable speed. The lamb ragu was amazing- full of flavour and the lamb was soft and tender, cooked to perfection. The pasta was also well cooked and freshly made in house. I finished my meal and was very satisfied. My friends' dishes also looked and smelt fantastic. Service was okay however at the end the waitress made a very rude/condescending comment while we were paying, so I'm deducting half a point for that which is a shame because the food is fantastic. Anyway I'll still be returning because the food was just that good. <br/><br/>Food - 5/5<br/>Ambiance - 4/5<br/>Service - 3/5<br/>Value for money - 4/5

Came here just for dessert and coffee on Friday night. Ordered the banoffee pie which was out of this world. Coffee was superb as well. Nice location away from the city in Alexandria as well.

Great pizza base. Arancini was a little bland. Nice vibe and quick service. Love the open kitchen and seeing all the chefs having a laugh and cooking away. <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

My first time in Sydney for a few years and a quick catch up dinner with an old friend before heading off on a cruise.  He is italian, so I expected him to take to some fab italian joint and he delivered.  We found ourselves at Fratelli Fresh on a Monday night.<br/><br/>Firstly I was hugely surprised at how busy this place was for a Monday night - we hadn't booked and got just about the last table available.  That many people - I knew it was going to be good.  The ambience is wonderful - down a set of stairs into almost a basement and I just loved the decor and the feel and the atmosphere - very melbourne-esque (and I adore Melbourne) - so that was a score.  <br/><br/>We were seated at a quietish table towards the back of the room (which was perfect for a long overdue catch up) and menu's and water were quickly on our table.  Service was very good - attentive but not stiffling. We shared a bottle of pinot grigio (excellent) and a garlic pizza bread (one of the best I've had - with extra garlic at my dining companions request).  I went with the gnocchi with goats cheese for my mains and it was superb - not a huge serving (which makes me very happy to not have to leave food on my plate) but perfect.  The gnocchi was perfect pillows of slightly chewy (in the best possible way) potato with plenty of chorizo and goats cheese.  Perfecto!<br/><br/>No room for desert, but a coffee went down a treat too.  In all a wonderful meal with fabulous company in a divine setting.  I have already been telling all my Sydney friends they have to try this place!
Amys_food_adventures
To start we got the parma with rockmelon and boccocini $15 - Very night and light way to get the palate going. For mains i had the polenta with Gorgonzola - So creamy and the polenta nice and crispy on the outside. I also got to sample the pork belly - that was cooked quite well and had a nice crackling!  <br/><br/>Staff were a bit busy when we stopped by around 8.30pm on a friday night as we had to hail them down. <br/><br/>For dessert we got to try the tarte banofee - nice flavour in the base and caramel sauce however the cream on top was a bit lacking. <br/><br/>Overall, a great first time visit!
Sweetandyummie
Great menu with beautiful homestyle italian dishes. Plenty of staff around to take your order and the food comes out very quickly. I highly recommend the Roast pork belly with lemon and watercress and the Ragu alla bolognese. I made the mistake of not ordering the banoffee pie last night so will make sure i order that next time i visit.

This is a great place if you looking for a bustling, exciting and high tempo spot for lunch or dinner. The menu is long and varied and you could say it lacks that simple, 'authentic' Italian feel however it certainly makes up for it with large portions! I love going back to this place as I always leave full and ready for a nap!

Tried cafe Sopra for the first time. It was ok. The zucchini flower was delicious. Best thing I've ever had. I had the lasagne which was ok. The sauce needed to be cooked a bit more. Pizzas were good too. Love the fitout.
Suzy Of Sydney
Two words: Quattro Formaggi. <br/><br/>Oh my, the four cheese pizza was dreamy. A perfectly crisp but chewy base, and oozing salty cheese. Every mouthful was a delight. <br/><br/>Service was polite and water was regularly topped up, which was appreciated!

Love Fratelli Fresh. My first time to the Bridge Street restaurant, normally going to Walsh Bay or Potts Point. The Bridge Street restaurant atmosphere in buzzing and dimly lite with an afterwork crowd. Will added it my list of causal CBD restaurants with great food and inexpensive. We ordered the tomatoes, mozzarella buffalo and Basil, Prosciutto pizza and zucchini flowers. No complaints expect for the Zucchini Flowers - much better at Fratelli Fresh’s other restaurants.

The vibe in here is great. It gets very busy so be prepared to wait but they have good cocktails to keep you occupied and the food is definently worth the wait. The banoffie pie here is absolutely amazing so make sure you leave room for it as it is not something to be missed. Service is great and...

Pretty disappointing.  Not horrific, but pretty poor for the price.  We had two pizzas; one of them was really burnt and overall quite unpleasant.  The prawn pizza we ordered had maybe 1 prawn - hardly any topping whatsoever, was mostly just tomato base.  We also had the zucchini flowers - I think they are $4.90 each and this is very overpriced for what you get (although they do taste good).  Service was poor, place was noisy... we were even given the wrong bill (which we paid before realising, and then had a slow experience getting the situation sorted).
What We Did
Fratelli Fresh is our go-to restaurant for great pizza and pasta. We’ve never had a bad meal there and we’ve eaten there countless times. There is always a great vibe there and the crowd of diners are always in a good mood. The restaurant is under street level and you walk down sandstone stairs to get to the entrance. The minute you walk past the wood fire oven you know you are on to a good thing. The dim lighting and exposed brick walls really set the scene. The waiters are friendly and food here is served fast. You won’t be hungry for long. One of the best things about dining here is the price. They are really decently priced. Pizza and pasta dishes are priced at about $22 to $25 each. When you factor in the great quality and taste, this place is a great deal.

Awesome ambiance. Great location. Fabulous food. Been there many times. Love the staff and the people. Prices are reasonable. House wine is great.

Hidden gem in Sydney CBD. Have to keep your eyes very widely open to find this underground place. Very attentive staffs eventhough it can get pretty busy later the evening. Food was amazing!
FoodComa
This restaurant is very easy to miss as its underground and does not have much signage. It's across the road opposite the commonwealth bank on bridge street, close to the exchange centre and only a short stroll down from Wynyard station. Upon walking down the stairs you'll reach a spacious underground restaurant with a charming and elegant vibe and an extremely dimmed and intimate atmosphere. My personal opinion it needs a bit of a vamp up with new tables and chairs as current ones are quite old and for the two seater tables, they are also quite small as going to a place like Fratelli Fresh you will require spacious plate room as you would want to try everything! There needs to also have more air conditioning running throughout the eating area, as we went on a relatively warm spring night and the humidity mixed with the underground and dimly lit atmosphere, we felt sticky and slightly uncomfortable. Do try their pizzas as they are done the authentic and traditional way with very thin crispy bases, rich flavoursome tomato herbed sauce and although the toppings aren't sparse and generous they are of very high quality and overall tasty and comes out super fast. We had the ham, salami and pepperoni meat pizza. Thumbs up. I had the spaghetti prawns pasta and was the best spag prawns ever!!! It wasn't overly oily, sprinkled with lots of small bits of herby crunchy breadcrumbs, generously fresh well cooked prawn pieces and just the right amount of seasoning making it anything from bland or requiring any extra condiments such as salt or pepper. I couldn't help myself when it comes to a little spice, so I did put in a bit of Fratelli's chilli oil and it hit the spot to the next level! Devoured all in minutes. My partner had the Lamb Ragu but with tagliatelle instead of penne. Amazingly slow cooked, tender and good quality lamb done for hours with little oiliness but just a little pieces of fatty goodness that lubricates the al dente pasta. There was that effortless Ragu sauce which is sufficient and just right, created mainly from the natural and slow cooking process of the meat rather than the quick and fast method of other pasta joints which relies heavily on tomatoes to supplement the flavour. Both dishes were generous sized so come hungry or go home with takeaway for the next day! The chicken liver pate will speak for itself as words can't explain how delicious it was. The biggest slab of pate I've ever been served and this is what I mean by them being generous. With thick slices of sourdough to slather the well seasoned and extremely velvety soft goodness onto. One of the top dishes of the night and the pastas for me. The arancini balls was abit disappointing, bland and after afew mouthfuls you've had enough. Very deep fried and tasteless even with the aioli sauce. Overall, lovely experience and will come back for other treats on the menu such as their much popular tiramisu and endless choices of pastas!

Love Fratelli!! <br/>I often bring out of town guests here as it never disappoints. Always super lively and the staff are friendly and attentive. <br/>The food is fast and fresh and their wine selection is impressive. I particularly love that you can order by the glass, carafe or bottle... And the house wine is pretty good too! <br/>My go to dish is the lamb ragu (yum!) but everything is pretty good. <br/>Will be back again soon!!
Lex
Worst chicken dish I've had in a long time. <br/><br/>Super thick batter with little flavour that fell off as soon as you touched it. <br/><br/>Coleslaw with large onion rings and way too much cream!<br/><br/>At $27 it was very disappointing.

Dishes arrive fast and the atmosphere is always abuzz at this warmly-lit alcove of a restaurant. Conveniently located a short way from Wynyard station, it’s a great place for both a fast, delicious Italian fix in the Sydney CBD or a long lunch. Scrawled on rustic chalkboards is an extensive menu of antipasti, primi (pasta), secondi and pizza. All pizzas come out in a jiffy, and each is rimmed with a poignantly puffed, oven-speckled crust, we love the simplicity of buffalo mozzarella pizza, with its pale blooms of white mozzarella and classic Italian flavour combination.

Perfect for a quick early dinner after work! Service was friendly and we were served our food only minutes after ordering. Delicious pasta! Especially the Lamb Ragu. Extensive menu and a nice location.

Enjoyed the Italian food and the atmosphere at this place. A nice hidden away restaurant that delivers well presented rustic but authentic pasta and an uncomplicated thin pizzas. Love the underground decor. We ate on a Friday night and the room was buzzing and booking is a must. Most deserts are pre-made and finished off with icecream. Been here a few times and the service satisfaction varies. At times they lack interest and just provide the bare essential and most of the time greeted with a pleasant smile and enthusiasm.

Was very impressed walking in. Great ambience and layout.<br/>Greeted by an unfriendly waitress and found most of the staff to be 'cold' which seems strange for italians.<br/>Took a while to receive our drinks at the bar. We ordered then it seemed like they forgot about us even though the place was fairly empty. When we were finally asked again if we'd like to order something to drink and we replied we'd already ordered then we were served.<br/>I ordered a pizza for mains. When I saw the table next to us receive their pizzas I straight away wished I hadn't ordered a pizza. Once mine arrived and I tried it I realised it really was a bad choice. The pizzas are small, the tomato paste tastes likes it's from a bottle of heinz tomato sauce and the toppings almost don't exist. Very disappointed.<br/>The other mains were the salmon and lasagna. The salmon was amazing. Best salmon they have ever had. I tried it and agree.<br/>The lasagna was average. The tomato paste seemed to come from the same heinz bottle and overall the lasagna lacked flavour. Pretty much just sheets of pasta in a bolognese sauce.<br/>The pannacotta saved the score for this review. Taste-wise best ever but way too small.<br/>Overall was on ok experience but wouldn't recommend café sopra and won't be going back.

Favourite Italian restaurant in the Sydney CBD. Always a crowd pleaser. <br/>Only drawback is, the waiting time on Saturday night can at times be excessive. Allowing potential customers to make bookings for (under 8 people) would be ideal to deter the waiting times.<br/>The website needs updating as well.

Been here on a few occasions. It's a place that pleases a crowd. The duck ragu pasta is a group favourite, nice winter flavours. The pizza is nice and simple, easy to eat. Tiramisu is a must have - heaven!!

Superb Italian. If you're looking for simple yet full of flavour dishes then Fratelli is your place. I ordered the chilli prawns and garlic spaghetti - serving size was very generous, pasta was Al Dente, prawns were fresh and flavoursome and to top it off the crunchy breadcrumbs soaked in the chilli garlic oil was devine. My mouth is salivating just reminiscing about this! Their drinks menus is also quite fun with blackboard special cocktails. <br/>As we came here on a Saturday night with no booking we were sat at the bar, but this did not mean we received no service. The bartender was attentive and made us feel very comfortable in taking our time ordering and eating. I cannot wait to come back!
Erkofuton
The food was great! But, the service led a lot to be desired. Overall the staff were friendly but obviously rushed off their feet. We were told we would have to wait 40 minutes for a table (can't book for dinner) and then walked past several empty tables that I just don't think they had had time to reset yet. They then forgot our food and made no attempt at an apology - we waited an hour after our starters to see the mains. I wonder if the potential atmosphere or experience has been lost in the big production of this place.

Pork belly was cold, skin was chewy, food was not FRESH at Fratelli Fresh.<br/><br/>Pork Belly was almost "cold" and the skin wasn't crispy. This Pork Belly dish was very disappointing. The dish came as almost cold, only "slightly" warm, and the skin wasn't crispy...you may even call it chewy. Felt like it's been there for some time, Fratelli Fresh wasn't that FRESH.<br/>Service was bad too. Waiter(ess) running around, didn't want to stop to attend your request, no smile, nothing.

What a great find. Had a relative over from Italy and wanted to eat pasta. As good as his mothers he said.<br/>Big call. <br/>Highly recommend.
FoodsterAu
"We're having Italian tonight" she said.<br/><br/>I really didn't know what to expect. I armed myself with a camera and we made our way there. For me Italian food is a rarity. Not because its not readily available but more so because my partner hates eating plates of the same flavoured dish... and you can only share so many plates of carbs when you're dining as two.<br/><br/>Fratelli Fresh has multiple locations but the one we visited was at Bridge Street, Sydney. I tried to do further research on the company but their website crashed with a SQL Server error. Horrible experience for a Database Administrator to spot...<br/><br/>Sydney's been really loving these underground bars/restaurants/anything. Underground is the new trend. I did love the decore though... Reminds me of the pictures during my research for restaurants in Italy. Though it was overly done when I spotted Roman statues inside. <br/><br/>The menu came out quick and so was the service. As you can tell from the picture of the menu, the lighting in this place is poor. Well to be fair, a lot of other tables had lighting near them, but we were sat in the poorly lit/"romantic" section. The rest of the guests that night made some remarks at the table that they couldn't see the menu but the table next to us made a complaint to the waitress. A simple issue to address with some candles on the table... though that would have lessen the space we were already battling with on our table for two... with four people on it.<br/><br/>I love the openly displayed kitchen. It really makes you feel like there's nothing to hide. No yelling across the room like in Hell's Kitchen. Everyone was just plugging away doing their thing. I'm glad at least their area was well lit...<br/><br/>The menu was extensive... on a blackboard and on our recycled pieces of paper at the table. The wine menu was even longer. There's just so many choices... which is one of my pet peeves... but I'm glad the girls jumped straight on it and picked their favourites... Being one of the less picky eaters at the table... I'm just happy to be part of the eating adventure...<br/><br/>The food came out at a reasonable time, but with good company, you just don't notice these things.<br/><br/>I actually didn't mind the combination of prosciutto and melon. Definitely developed the appreciation more so after my visit to Europe.<br/><br/>As I'm writing this my mind has drawn a blank to what this was called... but it was a tomato based pasta which looked better than it tasted.<br/><br/>Again.. I'm no Italian connoisseur... but my Osso Buco resembled a plate of Mac 'n' Cheese. Not the taste... just the look...<br/><br/>Honestly pasta vs pasta.... I couldn't tell which was better... only because I wasn't really impressed by either... maybe I'm slightly biased as I normally prefer white based sauce pastas smothered in cheese...<br/><br/>I drenched my pizza with their chilli olive oil... which wasn't necessary as the pizza had a lot of flavours already. Highly recommend the use of it, as it gave that extra creamy kick that some people like me love.<br/><br/>The pizza sizing was decent - 6 slices. Some were massive and it could have easily been a double slice.<br/><br/>The topping were generous and hot chorizo was my favourite.<br/><br/>The tiramisu was soft, creamy and fluffy. A slight hint of coffee flavour but tasted extremely bland compared to the banoffee.<br/><br/>The caramel was extra thick... and made for the lovers of caramel... The base was so dense it required extra manpower to break through... and the cream paired nicely in a massive spoonful of the three.<br/><br/>The bill came out to $142 for four people, which included two glasses of wine. Probably not a place I'd revisit for pasta, but definitely worth a try as we might have just got some of the less impressive dishes in their wide range menu.

Fratelli Fresh do not take bookings, so it’s best to come a bit early or be prepared to wait in line. Dinner starts at 6pm. We arrived at around 5:40pm and walked down the home-style cellar like stairs to be greeted by a very large open space, and the sight of freshly made pasta being made.
