Look. This is a difficult one. I've been here numerous times since I've moved to the area. Some of their food hit well, some of them miss. I'm a stan for their Okayama crumbed oyster. Their soft shell crab roll is only ok. The spicy teriyaki chicken don got me through the night. Their ramen is a bit forgettable. I've had their pork negi chashu ramen, chicken yokozuna ramen, and their pork spicy tantan ramen and none really wowed me. I once had ox tongue that I thought was ox tail (what a surprise). Overall a good place and will be eating here again. Skip the gyoza.
This place is outstanding. Big menu with lots of options. The Gyoza are excellent. Service is polite and efficient. Food served quickly and always fresh. Beer and beverage options are good. I am a regular.
Just rating the mochi and the matcha green tea ice cream. Must-try. One of the best mochi I have ever had in my life. The soft texture and the flavourful bite of the mochi will surely give you a feel good for food feeling accompanied by the matcha ice cream. Try it if you can.
Nice and cosy place to have a work lunch or catchup with friends. The menu has a nice variety to select from. The ramen was really tasty and the sushi was so fresh and yummy. Surprisingly it was not expensive at all. Will definitely come back for more.
Many Japanese place in Sydney is no longer authentic, but I always love when I find authentic gems such as this place! The owner and workers are all Japanese, very polite and the service is amazing. All their food are all delicious and authentic. During lunch times they have an abundantly portioned bento boxes for a reasonable price. My favorite us the chicken namban, the sauce given are generous and delicious. Will definitely come back often.
It’s a hidden gem, I like this place so much. Reminds me of those small Ramen shops in Japan. Nice and simple deco with very friendly and attentive staff. I’ve been coming here for their tasty miso ramen (one of the ramen on offer) the broth is thick and flavourful. I also like their Unagi set and gyoza. Their bento is a good value lunch for $14 you get a rice, salad, pickles, side dish, miso soup, and a choice of one main dish: Salmon, Unagi, Mackerel, Deep fried oysters, Salmon sashimi or Salmon Teriyaki. They’re licensed, so u can also order your favourite Japanese beer.
Excellent service with great food, love it. The price is reasonable as well. Have lunch or dinner at there almost every week. I believe the staff can recognize me,Lol
Of all the japanese places I've been to in Sydney, this is the one that feels most like eating out in Japan. It is fantastic. Food is good with large portions, friendly staff and reasonable prices. It isn't Tetsuyas, but it is tasty, honest food at a reasonable price. This is my new "go-to" japanese restaurant close to home.
Family friendly eateries and specialist in ramen. The price is very well priced. Went on weekend can be very busy but the wait is fast. Tried the bento + a mini ramen for an addition of $5 and trust me the ramen isn’t mini at all! Such a good size. Too full to leave as you’ll need to roll out. The sushi roll especially the eel is huge. You’ll need to chew with 2 mouthful
I normally order the ramen with gyoza and it's always great quality for dinner! The food is brought out pretty quickly and the staff are extra friendly. Prices and portion are good for someone with a big appetite
