A nice friendly Thai restaurant with nice food & a good menu - have been there a few times for lunch and never disappointed. Staff are great and food arrives freshly cooked very quickly.
This has my favourite chicken fried rice in all of Sydney. Service is extremely quick and prices are reasonable- what more could you want?
Stopped by for takeaway. Pad Bai Grapow with chicken had a good whack of holy basil and garlic, squeaky-fresh vegies, and almost no heat -- no chilli seeds. (If you like it hot, maybe ask for it.) It was also slightly vinegary which was unfamiliar. The restaurant is friendly, relaxed and the food came unbelievably quickly.
Thai Tha Hai is a cosy little Thai restaurant unpromisingly located on one of Chippendale's busiest thoroughfares, at 101 Cleveland Street. There are wooden elephants, anodoyne pictures, a shrine to the King, and a nice little area upstairs with a balcony
Such a gem!. Ate here two nights in a row I loved it so much. Great fresh food, great service. Lettuce cup and fresh veg spring rolls and pumpkin and tofu stir fry were my faves. Really cheap & fast service & BYO, but just stick with the delicious coconut juice!
Very decent Thai, outcompetes others within this price range in Newtown. We always order their lemongrass prawn, stirfry GST (some unusual ingredients in this - including lotus root!) and fish cakes. Don't really like their banana flower salad (too oily for me) or soups in general, also they're always flavoursome. We've been here at least a dozen times as our local and stick with the dishes we like - can't go wrong!
Simple but effective. Exceptionally friendly staff and simply done but tasty Thai food in humble but comfortable surroundings - it's the perfect neighbourhood Thai. The food arrives in record time and they're happy to open any bottle you bring.

consistently quick service - we always order take away. they do a great pad thai and prawn and cashew nut. always friendly service. it was a nice surprise to find such great thai place so close to us. its really close to the seymour centre, so good for an early bite before a show!
The eating atmosphere of Thai tha hai is well spaced out and the food there is great i recommend the thai green curry it is one of the best i have tasted in Chippendale. it is close to the broadway it is like a 15 min walk from broadway and a 20 min walk from redfern station. the food is well proportion. the price range is ok from 10 or 20 and their side dishes are nice i recommend the the curry puffs. there desert range is good they use to have mango sticky rice and it was my favorite i hope if they read this they might bring it back!!!
