Emergency eat out due to storm delaying my Xihuahua 🐶 . Pandan leaf chicken is flavorful, no need for the thick sweet sauce at all. Green curry is quite spicy. Quality succulent prawns in there. Pad Thai had lots of veg you don’t normally find in the dish at other places. I like that. Rice is not the best but it is cheap. Good value and delicious meal from here!
Loved the Red duck curry, an absolute all time favourite! The base sauce is super yum, duck pieces could be more compared to the price of the dish but other than that very tasty
I really love this restaurant. Very delicious. Best to me are Rard Na, Duck Sallad, Tomyum soup and Kha Moo. Only thing I want it to improve is opening hour up to 11pm for me to enjoy more :(
I have been here several times, and everytime I had a great experience with the quality of food and the service. This place is definitely a value for money and an example to the restaurants having aspirations to serve customers in a better way. Recommended dishes are: Chicken in Pandan leaves, Kai Yang, Pad See Eew Noodles, Duck in the field. Must Visit
Large serving portion, nice atmosphere. And the taste is authentic to me. There are also a variety of main dish to choose from which all taste nice.
Great food with the lunch specials however the staff are very rude and inconsiderate. Took my family here a couple of times and mostly the waitresses give you dirty looks and do not even smile. It seems like they just want you to eat, pay and leave.
If you're expecting a great atmosphere I don't think this place would meet your expectation.
The Thai Place on the main strip of Epping does this amazing lunch deal – classic Thai dishes from $7.50 (a bit more for meat of course, but can still get a decent meal for under $10). It’s a gem of a place and does a lot of takeaway and deliveries as well. Dining inside is not bad either, as the restaurant has a very nice and cozy feel – check it out:
A cosy Thai place ! The spring rolls and curry puffs were delicious ! The massaman beef curry was tooooo sweet! 😣 but the Chilli Basil Prawn noodles were delicious as was The Pad Thai ! Service was great! 😊
We come here often, up to about 6 times a year because the food is always consistent. We sat by the front window for dinner last night and whilst having the window open to catch the breeze was welcomed the noise from Beecroft road wasn't. You can't go wrong with the food here and the classics like red and green curry, any of the meat salads and the lemon grass chicken are always spot on. The Jungle curry here is my favourite of all time.
Our regular haunt in Epping. The staff are always so friendly, the food is well priced, and the curries are pretty delicious. highly recommended.
Good food. Decent environment. Went for lunch. Lunch for $13.90. Penang curry. Good amount. Only criticism is there was less veggies in the curry. The food quality is better than last time I visited here.
Friendly staffs and good atmosphere. Convenient location. It was totally nice but the sweet chilly sauce was way too sweet. Salmon was cooked well.
We've been here a few times and we've got the general gist of this place.
Food wise - tasty, authentic but at times probably abit too salty. I wouldn't go here for a healthy meal that's for sure. Price wise - good too. Serving size - good/large.
Now onto to service. Eating in the restaurant is POOR!! Especially when the place is busy - more than 3 customers is considered busy. Expect slow sevice and abit of rudeness. They are very inefficient in running the place and only appears to be only one or at most two people serving the restaurant floor.
Because of this experience we didn't come back for a quite a few months.
This place is good if you are patient and not in a hurry. However if you are in for a quick lunch. Forget it. You'll tear your hair out and bleed to death.
Thank you SO MUCH to The Thai Place at Epping. I placed a big order in on Friday afternoon in readiness for a dinner party on Saturday night. Not only did all the food arrived early on Saturday night but it was so well packed and still so hot that I didn't have to do a lot of reheating. The food was delicious and devoured by my thirteen hungry guests. We will always stick to the Thai place. We've never been disappointed.
