Came here on a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed the dining experience. Exceptional food and service!

Like many ethnic restaurants, the concept and menu of Mama’s Buoi are inspired by home style cooking from the older generation. The word Buoi refers to a type of citrus fruit common in Vietnam, often home grown and served at family dinner. Begin with something bite size such as the dumplings or spring rolls. Large chunks of prawns ($16/4pcs) are almost visible through the translucent wrap and the thick sweet soy is a nice change to the usual yum cha dipping sauce. We demolished all four pieces in no time.
The Vietnamese re-telling is one hot mess with open tables that allow groups to spill into one another, semi private booths with accents of fresh herbs and panoramic views into the kitchen action!.
This place give you the vibe that you look for after work. Cozy, warm, and friendly staff that will makes you fall in love with this place in instant. Of course service isnt the only thing that bring this place to the top. The taste of the food itself has now getting so much better. As i’ve been told that now they got new chef to run the kitchen, their food actually improving from flat to AMAZING! Now the stir fry got the taste of the wok, and the pho?!?!? Oh yes! Real deal for the pho! Absolutely gonna worth your time and the money. 😉

This is more or a high end Vietnamese fusion place. We stumbled by this restaurant in Surry Hills since it has a very eye-catching neon sign at the front
Our main complaint is that some tables have a stool (pictured) which is very uncomfortable to sit on after some time. So this is your warning. Not all tables have it, just the ones along the wall. We didn't need a booking for two on a Saturday night but there were some groups who had a booking. The customer service was fantastic.
We ordered the
- duck pancake: it was very tasty, basically like Peking duck with a twist since it had some pineapple in it too.
- caremelised pork belly which felt like it was a homecooked meal, the juice was good to drizzle on rice.
- sizzling pork which was a house special: in my opinion it wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad.
There are so many other things I want to try on the menu so I will come back sometime!
Great spot for a more upscale vietnamese fusion dining experience. They also have special deals on certain weekdays, we got a glass of wine and vermicelli noodle bowls for $20. Also ordered the soft shell crab papaya salad, only ask is would have liked a bit more crab!
Amazing food! Ingredients are really fresh and the taste are just right. Personal favorite is the vermicelli salad with pork + crackling, but their choices of hot pots/curries are always very comforting during colder months.
This Modern and trendy Vietnamese restaurant located in in surry hills is definitely worth visiting.
They cater a more modernise version of Vietnamese cuisine. Minimum spend for two is around $65.
We ordered a Large bowl of chicken pho, this could be shared amongst a group of four. My friend and I demolished it! The soup was nice and clean and did not lack flavour.
The duck crepes is must try! It’s full of flavour and although it’s not the traditional one you would normally get at an authentic and un modernised place, it is still very flavourful!
The chicken ribs were another fave and must try! It’s bursting with flavour and the sauce it absolutely delicious. The chicken is quite crunchy.
The ambiance is quite nice, very cosy & intimate. Perfect for date night or a quick dinner.
Definitely a fancier way to eat Vietnamese cuisine.
Fabulous restaurant which I would highly recommend. Clean food, great staff and the perfect meal to enjoy by yourself or with friends.
I visited the Surry Hills location - very easy access from Central Station.
Consistently good food and service! Funky interior and well priced considering it's Surry Hills. Yeah it's Vietnamese but not Cabramatta Vietnamese, has a modern Asian slant. I'm quite sensitive to MSG and had no issues here.
I have frequented mama's buoi in Melbourne on many occasions, but Sydney's mama's buoi is definitely better. The layout of the restaurant is a lot nicer and you can actually sit inside. The food, staff and atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely pop in again.
Mama buoi - Cute ass bowls and yummy dishes that remind me of ma childhoooood. Favourite Pho place for a while - The fusion ingredients and cute presentations made eating here such a treat. Not as expensive as you think from such a classy fit out. Two weird sizes for Pho though. small and JUMBO? Bro....what's up with that? Service can be hit and miss but anyway...a great dine out experience.
My favourite vietnamese restaurant in sydney!! Soooooo good every time!! Their vermicilli salad tastes like its straight from vietnam!! Cocktails are amazing too!! Go early to get a table at the weekend!!
Ducked in for a very quick, late lunch whilst in Surry Hills. Love this place when the crowds are gone and you can just relax, dream and imagine you have lept over the sea to Vietnam! Ordered tofu and mushroom rice paper rolls $9, and two vermicelli noodle bowls with traditional salad mix - one with BBQ chicken $16, the other with tofu and mushrooms $16. Light, flavoursome and nutritiously sound! As it says on the back wall "do you love mamma"? Well, the answer of course is "YES"!
Love the Vietnamese salad here. Went with the lemongrass pork with pork spring rolls. Ive actually always wanted to see this combination on a Vietnamese menu, first time and love it. Best salad I've had in a long time.
Spring roll was crispy and light which went well with the silky smooth vermicelli.
The pork was perfectly tender, and the serving was very generous by most standards.
The salad was fresh, and the mint, basil and perfectly balanced sauce, made this dish a delicious success.
The service was very attentive, fun and caring.
The ambience is authentic and comfortable.
Will try some more things next time - everything coming out of the kitchen looked great!
This place is close to my new place of work. I usually order the Hanoi (Chicken) pho. The place has an upmarket vibe which suits the area and outside tables. We had lunch there with Cobalt. Upon our next visit the waiter ask where was Cobalt. This of course reflects the exquisite taste and class of the establishment.
They also have a 25 dollar lunch banquet which I would like to try.
Mama’s Bưởi is a modern Vietnamese restaurant on Devonshire Street, about a five minute walk from Central Station. A homage to the owner’s mother, the welcoming, home-style interior design provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. For lunch, I ordered the Pho Chay, the vegetarian version of the iconic pho beef noodle soup. Vietnam actually has a large vegetarian and vegan food culture, being home to a large Buddhist population and bountiful fresh produce.
So this place gets busy fast on a Friday. A little unexpected but we had a one hour limit as we had not made a booking. Perhaps it was because of this, our waitress was a little too attentive and tried taking away my plate when it was barely touched. Both my friends got a vermicelli noodle salad which they seemed to enjoy, and I got the vegan coconut tamarind curry which comes with lots of good stuff – pumpkin, eggplant, mushroom & sweet potato. It was quite good actually, and pretty filling with rice, but priced a tad high for my liking. Overall, decent place to pop in for lunch if you work in the area, or if you want to have a nice casual dinner for anyone from anywhere!
I thought they'd be pricey, but I was pleasantly surprised by their good value. Great vermicelli noodles. My lunch go-to is their Vietnamese slaw with BBQ chicken. I've eaten in a few times and it's been pretty quick service every time.
Delicious but not amazing...but don't get me wrong, I will come back! This is a good place to have a casual Vietnamese dinner or catch up with friends. The place is well decorated and service is good. Waitresses are very friendly and food comes out fairly fast. Portions are reasonable and so are the prices. I tried the fresh rice paper rolls with roasted pork and they were tasty and beautifully presented. I was pleasantly surprised by the steamed pork dumplings... wow! Very tasty! I had for main a duck curry which was good but not incredibly memorable. Overall I enjoyed my experience and felt satisfied. I think this is good value for money.
Vietnamese food is all about fresh ingredients and punchy flavours and this place has this in spades. The fun decor and friendly service was matched with a great menu. The highlight was the rice paper rolls (soft shell crab and pork belly!) and duck pancakes. My Yellow Mellow cocktail was delicious and only complaint was that the cocktail menu wasn't more extensive.
Whenever we don’t feel like cooking but still want to eat healthy, Vietnamese is always our top choice because they will always have vermicelli salad on the menu. I particularly like Mama’s Buoi because all their food are so vibrant and fresh.
Stumbled across this restaurant and thought why not.
Menu is more similar to Thai/Chinese than Vietnamese, kind of like a modern fusion take on flavours.
Everything was very flavourful.
Only fault would be that they are a little heavy on the salty side so a bowl of rice is definitely recommended.
Mama Boui’s on Devonshire Street is easy to get to through the Devonshire Street Tunnel. It’s cute, friendly but trendy. It’s also got great prices. The Pulled Duck Pancakes are delicious for entree $16. The Coconut Tamarind Curry $18 with sour coconut, tamarind curry of pumpkin, eggplant, mushrooms and sweet potato is good but perhaps not as good as the Saigon Influenced Duck Curry or the Vermicelli Noodle Salad Bowl Lemongrass Pork and with Pork Spring Rolls and fresh herbs.
A lovely casual Vietnamese restaurant located in Surry Hills near Central Station.
The atmosphere has a good vibe to it. There is bench seating, communal seating as well as some booths. It is quite cosy but has a lovely feel to it. Service was swift and attentive.
The special piggy menu looked tempting but stuck to my guns and had the To Bun (Vermicelli Noodle Salad Bowl) With Lemongrass Pork With Pork Spring Rolls was tasty and full of flavour. Good ratio of noodles to salad to meat. The dressing was zingy enough for me and added a great flavour to the salad. Iced coffee was nice too.
Porky Ninja!!
Mamas Buoi had made a Pork set menu, which show case different style of cooking pork.
Modern flair with Vietnamese flavours, this place sure knows how to elevate Vietnamese food.
Layout of the place is trendy with a bar and ample seatings but having historic decor of Vietnam. A bit far in the Surry Hills area but well worth the trip.
Until next time .... Keep eating!!!!

Rolling review, started with a perfect spot at the bar looking out on a raining Holt Street. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the lunch banquet.
A choice of drinks, (I chose the house white wine), an entree (I selected the roast pork rice paper rolls), and main (chose the Com Tam ). All for $25. Not too shabby.
First up was the roast pork rice paper rolls. The dipping sauce had some kick but was well balanced with sesame and crispy fried onion. Beautifully presented.
Next was the Com Tam (plenty more accented etc in the correct spelling); a plate of rice, a fried egg, some cabbage, "pickle" which was more unpickled shredded cucumber some grilled pork, a slice of omelette and a vermicelli pork mix. Very simple but perfect for a cold Winter's day.
Soundtrack was light indie rock and went really well with the industrial feeling décor. If you're looking for a good Vietnamese lunch, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Learning about Mama’s Buoi owner, Bao Hoang is like reading my own life. His parents are Vietnamese refugees and his family love getting together to eat until full. Exactly how my family roll. We sample a range of classic savoury Vietnamese dishes beginning with a cold starter Goi Cuon – fresh rice paper rolls pork and prawn filling $9 aren’t the same as the ones I grew up on, these are packed with colourful veggies and look visually appealing.
Really tasty and fresh food. Had the eggplant side and vege pho. Great portion sizes. Only negative (which is understandable) was that we were asked to leave once we paid. Busy spot!
We absolutely loved the laid back vibes at this cool Surry Hills restaurant. If you're into your Pork and not sure what to order when you visit, definitely try the Thit Kho. Caramelised pork belly and boiled free range eggs in coconut juice. This was sticky, juicy and jam-packed full of flavour! It was a huuuuuge serving for only $18 and we'd recommend sharing this between two along with a couple of share plates. You pretty much can't go wrong though, with lots of traditional Vietnamese dishes done with a bit of modern flair. Everything was fresh, tasty and huge! Great Viet.

A gem of a place to get some good homely Vietnamese food.
Th decor transports you to Vietnam and the hospitality of the staff makes you believe you're really there.
Food is colorful and full of spice, nothing left to the imagination
Beautiful Vietnamese food in Surry Hills. Certainly not the best I have had in Sydney but good all the same. This place is always packed. Lemongrass curry chicken is a must. Serving sizes of meals are quite substantial for the price. Would recommend.
Yummy yummy yummy! Look Surry Hills is no stranger to beautiful Vietnamese food and Mama Buoi is one of the finest. Pictured is the Hanoian Salad Bun Cha (bun being the vermicelli noodles and Cha the grilled pork). Perfectly spiced with fish sauce it's one of my all time favourites. Summer time I keep this dish as a standard to see which ones are worth coming back to. Also pictured the Vietnamese coffee (though I'd rate this a 3/5). There's also a banquet which looks to contain enough food to satisfy Homer Simpson and I for one can't wait to try it. The seats outside is perfect for beautiful summer/Autumn days 🍜
Came here for dinner with a group. Beautiful decor and fast service. Ordered rice paper rolls with pork to start. Disappointing as there was the tiniest bit of pork and was mostly leaves. Had the beef for main with Chinese brocoli. Very tasty
I’m told a good Vietnamese meal is scarce to non-existent beyond the realms of Cabramatta. While that statement might be true, this doesn’t deter me from finding as good as it gets in the CBD and inner suburbs. I hazard to say that Vietnamese food is reasonably ‘healthy’ as well so even if I’m not getting the greatest Viet feed ever, I can at least walk into a Viet restaurant knowing there is some kind of salad thing on offer.
I came across Mama’s Buoi by chance when I was doing some last minute research looking for Vietnamese restaurants for our recent trip to Sydney. After reading countless blog reviews, I was determined to try Mama’s Buoi out!. I must say it was quite a mission finding the restaurant, it is located on Devonshire Street in Surry Hills, so we assumed it would not be a long walk, but it actually took over an hour to get there from the CBD! But it was totally worth it – so happy to have found this gem!
Awesome food !!! For vegetarians like me it is a heaven. Had a lunch couple of days back with colleagues . Right from starter (veg steamed dumplings ) to main course ( smoky eggplant - marinated and served in chilli/ garlic / basil sauce ) food was just awesome . Eggplant was just too good . Going to try it again on my next visit . From my team other members ordered non- veg food and their experience with food was same as mine . Excellent !!! . Service was super efficient considering the busy lunch time for office goers in the vicinity . Must try - Vegetarians - go for it !!!!
$9 pho has a great flavoursome broth and just the right size for lunch. Nice and fresh ingredients in the rice paper rolls as well. Great ambience
The food is good with a wide-ranging menu. I eat there fairly regularly as it is around the corner from my house. The add-your-own pho is particularly enjoyable. It gets a medium rating due to the often-poor service. I've been on a Saturday night and it seems as though there is only one waiter on for the whole restaurant. A shame, as it's got a great atmosphere and would otherwise get a higher rating.
Spoilt for choice, it would be easy to overlook a smaller spot like Mama Buoi Vietnamese restaurant. But that would be tragic as you would miss the nostalgic, relaxed decor, the story of the family behind the restaurant, the great value but most of all the most delicious food!. Ask the staff for their recommendations as these are excellent!
These guys do amazing food. It's one of those restaurants where you walk out smacking your lips because your taste buds are still zingy. The chicken ribs are an absolute must order. They used to have a morning glory with pork dish which was brilliant but I noticed recently that it's just a vegetarian morning glory dish now. Still bloody good. I don't think pho is their strong point. There are plenty of other places nearby who do a better pho. But these guys do their other dishes really well.
To tell you the truth I walked through the doors of Mama's Buoi really, really cynical. I LOVE Vietnamese food and often travel to areas like Bankstown, Cabramatta, Eastwood and Marrickville for a hit of noodle soup or pork chop rice served with a tangy nuoc mam cham.
Asian food in the Surry Hills area is great, but compared to restaurants of the South West Sydney region some of the pricing by comparison can be regarded as exorbitant. My Asian cynicism conjured horrible thoughts in my head --
"It's a menu designed for Western people."
"The food will not be authentic."
"The plates will be small and will offer poor value for money."
I suppose the weather had me feeling kinda crook and cranky...and thankfully I was SO WRONG!! The food was absolutely delicious and authentic in their flavours. The design of the restaurant and it's ambience was really nice and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Mama's Buoi is a great place for genuine Vietnamese food if you don't want to make that long trip down to the South West.
Onto the food --
Crisp Fried Shell-On School Prawns (12.0)
This plate of crispy prawns was delectable. I couldn't stop crunching on the prawns. The shell is still on the prawns but they're baby sized so they're easy to get through to the prawn meat which is ample. You eat them whole and they're GREAT. The batter was light, thin and aromatic. For twelve bucks you get a large plateful which I didn't expect at all. Highly recommended!
Mama's Boy Buoi (20.0)
This is the house special salad. Crunchy strips of green papaya, bits of pomelo, beans and tomato are tossed with a light nuoc mam cham (fish sauce) to create a wonderfully refreshing salad which will get anyone's appetite going. The salad is served with a nice portion of fresh crunchy soft shell crab and some fragrant prawn crackers. I loved placing the salad on the crackers and crunching in with my teeth. Yum.
Ginger chicken (17.0)
Slices of chicken, shallots, onions, ginger, soya sauce, fish sauce, garlic and a little bit of sugar are tossed in a hot wok and served. A flavour explosion in your mouth! Goes really well with white rice. Plenty of sauce at the bottom for everyone. Excellent.
Viet Style Salt and Pepper Squid (18.0)
There are a lot of Asian restaurants that serve salt and pepper squid. Everyone from Golden Century down to the local Thai eatery on the corner makes this dish but I've now decided no one does it as well as Mama's Buoi! I have never consumed salt and pepper squid where the coating on the outside was this crispy and the squid itself was so tender. Often the squid comes out rubbery at other restaurants. Not here. Crunchy on the outside, soft to the bite on the inside. Impressive.
Thit Kho - caramelised pork belly (16.0)
Pork belly that has been stewed for how long, I don't know. Doesn't matter. Just eat!! The meat so is tender and juicy, the sinew of the meat shreds with ease. The sauce is salty, sweet, fragrant with a hint of chilli, onions and shallots. Traditionally this is served with a hard boiled egg and they do just that here. Again, yum. Do it!
Went here for a quick bite before heading to the airport and couldn't have picked a better place. Fast service, delicious food and great vibes! This contemporary Vietnamese restaurant is the perfect place for sharing, offering light, fresh, flavoursome food at an affordable price!
A different take on Vietnamese cuisine than what I'm use to - a more modern take I guess. That's not a bad thing, I found it interesting and very fresh. Seems like a fusion with other asian cuisines. We loved the fresh summer rolls. Very nice Pho (although a tad small), the broth was clear and had a nice aroma - just the way I like it. The pork stew with egg is my favourite dish, the meat is very tender - I think there could've been more eggs in it but overall, we loved our experience there. We've returned a number of times. The place probably needs a bit more seating. Service is great, something you don't always get from other Vietnamese places.
awesome! As soon as i enter the shop, it has Really good vibe, super friendly staff, very patient waiting for us choosing the menu, Boom! Real deal Viet food! Tried beef pho and pork vermicelli salad, Definitely will come back! Herbs are fresh! Better than any in Sydney cbd.
food is always beautiful & fresh, great salads & fantastic for large groups - the service is always friendly & efficient - great place for a quick lunch
Came here to try this restaurant and was impressed at the modern transformation of Vietnamese street food. Love the trendy presentation and bowls and plates used for serving. Ambience and decor, is what you would expect for a Surry Hills restaurant as well. They have a Crows Nest branch too, and are very popular on weekends for dinner.
The food is tasty and prices are reasonable, but with some dishes a little more expensive than a casual Vietnamese restaurant in suburbs such as Cabramatta, Canley Heights etc. Servings are somewhat smaller as well, but everything is fresh and well made.
It has all the usual Vietnamese favourites such as spring rolls, rice paper rolls, Goi (salads) and pho. Including marinated grilled meats, stir fries and traditional Vietnamese dishes such as Thit Kho (caramelised pork belly with eggs braised in coconut juice), Bo Kho (beef stew) and for desserts Che Chuoi (banana in sago and coconut cream).
Not my first preference for Vietnamese food, but definitely worth a try.
From a french point of view, this restaurant has all the qualities for a great night.
The food is really nice and hearty, the place is just beautiful, the atmosphere is chilled out, the service is fast and friendly, and the cocktails are so surprising and delicious. About the price, I do think it's reasonable, $16 for a main course is not that expensive. You have to try this restaurant at least one and you won't be disappointed.
Super yummy and fresh Vietnamese food! My favourite is the Vermicelli Noodle Salad Bowl. On the first two occasions, the dressing was to die for - fresh, spicy, zesty. The last two occasions... not so much - dressing was bland.
Pork belly curry is delicious. Spring rolls are also yummo.
You can grumble about chains all you like, but when the food is this tasty and the prices are this reasonable, who really cares?
There's more flavour and joy here in the chicken ribs ($10), the duck pancakes ($14) and the wagyu beef salad ($17) than in many of the neighbouring places where you'll pay three times as much for a feed.
This isn't a place to linger. Service is quick and friendly, so it's best to think of Mama's Buoi as a place for a quick workday lunch or an early evening fuel stop ahead of a night on the tiles.
Worth the hype. Very few restaurants live up to their hype but Mama's Buoi delivers. Quirky and clever menu and beautiful decor. Resisted the urge to order the entire menu! Standout dish? Caramelized pork belly with all the traditional flavors, not toned down in the slightest. Couple of issues were the incredibly slippery toilets (someone really needs to look into this, waitress mentioned after i almost fell that it was a common complaint) and alsp the glasses being chipped (maybe check for chips and cracks before serving). Main waitress was wonderful. Made for a wonderful night, definitely a place to visit over and over again.
Buoi oh Buoi. My son introduced me to Mama's a few weeks ago and have been back several times to try new taste sensations. This is a serious find for lovers of fresh, flavour pack vietnamese food. Vietnamese food has always been favourite of mine and always looking for new places . I'll be settling in here for a while I think...I have a lot to try yet before moving on. Last week was wet and cold and craved Pho Chicken. I've had this dish at many places but the award definitely goes to Mama Buoi...magnificent! Pretty packed little place most nights but have always managed to get a table. They told me if you have six or people you can book. Roused your friends, order different dishes and sample a range of delights. Complementary to the the very welcoming decor and staff is the very cool music being played...soul, stax, east memphis style which to my surprise (and delight) works so well here. yêu nơi này
Always a great time. Food was fantastic
Service polite and helpful
Loved the atmosphere of the place. Definately go back with friends and family
Went to crows nest with a group of friends and the whole experience was outstanding. Delicious food. The outside seating was perfect and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the menu
Will be back again
Awesome meeting place with great eats. I have visited Mama's Buoi Surry Hills quite a few times, and the food is always exceptional. The fit out is great, and lends itself very well to mid-week catch ups and girl's nights. Loved the school swimmer prawns and duck pancakes. Can't wait to go back!
I came across Mama's Buoi by chance when I was doing some last minute research looking for Vietnamese restaurants for our recent trip to Sydney. After reading countless blog reviews, I was determined to try Mama's Buoi out!
I must say it was quite a mission finding the restaurant, it is located on Devonshire Street in Surry Hills, so we assumed it would not be a long walk, but it actually took over an hour to get there from the CBD! But it was totally worth it - so happy to have found this gem!
Mama's Buoi serves Vietnamese home-style dishes ranging from Vietnamese grills, hot pots, soups, summer rolls and salads. They also serve beers, cocktails and a range of T2 teas (the lemon and ginger flavour is soothing and delicious).
From the menu, we ordered the Goi cuon rice paper rolls with prawn and pork ($8 for two rolls, cut in half), the Lemongrass pork/pork spring rolls vermicelli noodle salad bowl ($14), the Coconut tamarind curry ($14) and the BBQ chicken slaw (also $14).
The rice paper rolls were yummy, but the nuoc mam dipping sauce on the side was the highlight! My sister had the coconut tamarind curry and she said it was very spicy, but had a wonderful flavour. The lemongrass pork vermicelli was almost perfect, but lacking sauce (ended up putting the rice paper rolls sauce on top!). Finally, the BBQ chicken slaw - succulent chicken with a fresh and and delicious slaw, accompanied by the most amazing rice crisps!
All the dishes were fantastic and we all agreed that this was due to the fact that all the spices and herbs were perfectly balanced and everything tasted so fresh!
As for the layout and décor, well it is very cool and modern. Loved the stand out giant mural at the back of the restaurant saying "Con co thuong me khong?" translating to "Do you love Mama?". The fit out is wonderfully bright, the menus are pretty and best of all, the kitchen is open, so you can watch the chefs do their thing (the smells are heavenly!).
Overall, dining at Mama's Buoi was a great experience - friendly staff, fresh and delicious food and nice atmosphere... now just gotta start planning my next trip over!
Trendy decor, delicious food. The decor is more fancy and trendy compared to your typical Vietnamese restaurant and while probably a bit on the pricier side of Vietnamese food compared to Cabramatta, it's still reasonable compared to other areas as the portions are a good size. It can get a little cramped though if you're sitting in a larger group. They've also put more effort in the presentation of the dishes which look fantastic. And taste delicious. Was happy to see more vegetables on the dishes here as usually I find there's only a few token slices of carrot/cucumber. There's even a small sized pho option which was bigger than expected and would be a good option for the less hungry. Good number of vegetarian options.
Vietnamese. Just like Mama makes it. This Vietnamese chain is brought to you by the guys behind Roll’d in Melbourne and is aimed to bring you home cooked Vietnamese meals.
This is probably the best Goi (“salad”) I’ve ever had. I use quotation marks because it’s more meat than salad, but perhaps that’s why I like it so much.
Nah, it’s not just that – even the vegetables are delicious due to an excellent fish sauce seasoning. Each bite is crunchy and flavoursome. When it comes to the meat, it’s really well-grilled, juicy with just that little bit of char. You can also get this with shredded sirloin steak or BBQ prawns.
Such a great time. Staff were so friendly, attentive and on the ball, even went out of their way to put together a makeshift birthday dessert with candles for our friend at the last minute. And food was faultless - every dish met with resounding 'yuuummm!'s. Definitely recommend.
