Food Queens Of Sydney

This is one of our favourite places for sandwiches and salads. It’s super cheap and the portions are massive. The staff is also always so friendly and if you visit often enough they will soon remember your order.
Also you MUST ask for extra carrots, you will not be disappointed!
The cafe is quite small, so be prepared to have to wait for a table or just order takeaway.

I am always so satisfied with my South Dowling experience. The poached chicken salad with the lot and the chilli chicken are both amazing. Generous in size and packed with ingredients. Their sandwiches are epic, especially when you have it with the lot. I will continue to go here :)

Had the poached chicken salad. Not much poached chicken but there was heaps of different veggies. The caramelised carrots were definitely the star of the dish. Only problem I had was they charge an extra $1 for eat in. I know it's not much but it's definitely not necessary.

The brownie cost $5 and it was a let down.

Fast fwd 2hrs and I'm on my way from mascot through Alexandria. Stopped for a pep up while the sprinkling rain ceased. Service was great. Coffee was solid

This one has usually queued at lunch time a little and since I have time to visit, I tried the popular order Chilli Chiken Salad. Gorgeous mild spice of chilli paste sit on top of the fried marinated tasty chicken and able to adjust how hot you want unlike sandwiches spread all over the bread. It was quite delicious and filling me up even without chicken. A lot of vegetables in the container and will try coffee next time.

The only place I will miss whenever I leave Sydney.

I am a fanatic of their Chili Chicken Sandwich and Salad. Their chickens are just beautifully cooked and seasoned. The chilli pesto by itself is already addictive. My favourite killer extras are their heavenly caramelised carrots and roast tomatoes. Grilled eggplant is a close contender. If I feel fancy I throw some extra cheese as well to crank the umami level up even further.

For those uninitiated ones who can not stand some spice, there's always the crowd favourite Chicken Schnitzel.

Head on down to South Darling Sandwiches and wrap your lips around the Chilli Chicken Salad. By far the most impressive salad in Sydney. Don't forget the famous roasted carrot!

Best sandwiches in Surry Hills.. Deliciously fresh bread and fillings. Very filling!
