I was greeted by a young lad at the cash register, his name was Elliot. There were 3 generations of family behind the counter and I loved it! The eldest gentleman has been making burgers for 50+ years. They've been in Alexandria for 30+ years making food for the locals, I am inspired by the amazing people who rock up to these incredible establishments to make food for the community day in and day out.
This place really put a smile on my face, everyone truly loved what they were doing and they have a great passion for making good food at an affordable price. I asked the young lad what his favourite burger on the menu was, he said it was the "Calamari Burger". I didn't see it on the menu so consider this a secret item! I gotta give it a crack next time I'm in.
I ordered the Lean Beef Pattie, Fried Onions, Lettuce, Beetroot, Tomato, Tomato Sauce + Cheese and still had change from a $10 note. Highly recommended.

This is a small family business, with very good food, good service. If you are reading this review you have found the best fish and chip shop. Don’t go any further. Also the turn around for fish and chips was about 7 mins.

The best seafood platter in town! It has a bit of all the favourites; prawns, fish, oysters, mussels, grilled calamari, calamari rings, seafood sticks, octopus and golden crispy chips. This place is a gem.

Good place to pick up cooked fish and many other seafoods. They do everything there themselves. Hand cut potatoes scallops, beer battered fish, just right calamari. Fresh seafood available for you to cook yourself.
Friendly service.
They do offer meat burgers, but seafood is their forte.

We ordered the fish and chips with calamari, seafood sticks and potato scallops and it was delicious! The staff are very friendly, and the wait time was reasonable given it was a public holiday. I highly recommend Alexandria Seafoods to anyone looking for great tasting seafood.

We had the grilled fish dinner. So good to get super fresh fish, chips and salad. And great flavours in everything. Enough dressings to make it super yummy but not to ‘drown’ the fresh ingredients. Simple but delicious.

Finally tried Alexandria Seafood after moving into the area 8 months ago and it did not disappoint! I'm usually not a huge fish and chips fan as I find it can just be dripping in oil, however, everything we ordered tonight was fresh and delicious. The lemon and garlic grilled dory was perfectly cooked, fresh and packed with flavour. This came with a side of chips and a yummy greek salad. We also got some potato scallops (up there with the best I have ever had!) and some tasty calamari rings. Service was quick, friendly and the prices are super reasonable. Can't wait to come back and try the grilled salt and pepper squid!

It's been years since I came here and I'm sure it used to be good. It's still pretty cheap - $13 gets you fish, chips, prawns and calamari - but it's not really worth the price. Rubbery fish, rubbery calamari, chips had perhaps been sitting around for a while before serving, only the prawns were good.

It is hard to find a fish and chip shop around Sydney that's like the one's that remind me of my childhood. Old school, unpretentious and plain to look at.<br/><br/>Alexandria Seafood is exactly the ticket. I had the Fisherman's Basket, which was one piece of battered fish, chips and tartare. I added a potato scallop. The fish and scallop were golden and crunchy on the outside, and not too greasy. The fish, white and moist. Great serving size of chips. Such a satisfying and value for money meal.<br/><br/>Thank you Alexandria Seafood. <br/><br/>The two men there were so warm and lovely. I will be back.

I suspect the locals want to keep this place a secret. In a suburb where hipster cafes dominate aggressively - people tend to forget cheap old school eats. This place in my opinion is a gem. It's humble in its appearance but they serve up fantastic fish and chips. I got the grilled dory and it was definitely a thumbs up. The service was also on point. I will come back for that grilled fish soon.

This has been a long time favourite when wanting a quick, fresh, nicely cooked piece of fish. I like mine grilled and can choose your own from what they have that day, Snapper, Barramundi, Blue eyed cod and so on. With chips and salad it's $14, terrific value and a large portion. They do the usual stuff like calamari, battered fish and even fresh oysters. I like to call them before I pick up.

Love this place fresh seafood takeaway $6 for a grilled fish burger grab a side of fries and a coke aprox $ 11 you have a actual fresh not a crapy mcdonalds filit o fish meal...there is also fresh cut potato cakes calamari etc etc this is great grab it and head down the park or sit in .... i have also noticed they now sell saxbys drinks 10/10
