So good! $35 for all you can eat sushi it's actually insane, we ate so much. I loved the aburi and scallop nigiri. The waiter also recommended his favourite sushi and I cannot remember it's name unfortunately, but had chicken filling and two types of sauces on top - one being cheesy. Definitely get bang for your buck

Dont let the entrance fool you. This is good quality Japanese with proper sushi, excellent tempura and tasty Udon.

This is a delayed blog post. I have a confession to make, I am a regular at Kansai and have been going here for over 10 years. I now work nearby and often frequent Kansai for a quick lunch or dinner. Kansai is a casual Japanese Eatery, located downstairs in the Hunter arcade. I have ordered the Green Tea Noodles with Salmon so many times, it's hard to count. It's absolutely my favourite dish but I opt for something else today. I recommend but I will be reviewing other dishes in this instance.

We came here for the $45 all you can eat deal, and it was very much worth it for your money. The sushi were tasty and the sashimi boats were huge! My favourite was definitely the gyoza, they were large and fried just right. Overall a very good price for a heap of food, and I’ll definitely be back in the future!

This restaurant offers a lot of lunch options from hotpot, sashimi, sushi, donburi, noodles and bento boxes. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box and was pleasantly surprised. Overall great place for a quick lunch in the city.

$45 for an all you can eat buffet?? DEAL! Sashimi boat was to die for. Service was nice and quick, surprisingly on a Friday night. Food also came out very quickly.

Great place for lunch in the CBD, located underneath the hunter connection. We had the vegetable udon and the prawn tempura udon and the serving size was reasonable. The service was fast and friendly staff.
The udon was very tasty, with large fresh battered prawns on the side.

The $32 all-you-can-eat buffet deal is fantastic and well worth it. The customer service was very attentive and the sushi, tempura and other dishes were all fantastic.

Will definitely be coming again with bigger groups!

Went with the Bento B box - beef option.
As far as late night Japanese goes, this place is pretty good. The miso is tasty, although a tad on the cold side, but I didn't mind.
The beef is tender and flavoursome.
Service is very quick and efficient.

Excellent value! You obviously aren't going to pay $42 and get premium quality all you can eat sashimi, but overall the food was fresh, tasty Japanese. Very attentive service too and didn't make you feel bad for ordering a lot. Recommended!

Amazing Japanese food. Great location, just three minutes walk to Wynyard Station. Went there 4 years ago with friends. The restaurant provided fresh ingredients and friendly customer service. We ordered 2 plates of Sushi combination. That was very impressing.

Amazing Japanese food. Really yummy gyoza and udon. The customer service is super friendly and they were very hospitable. The food took a good amount if time to be ready and it was fresh and delicious. I love how it was open on a weekday when everything else was closed. Great location too coz it is close to wynard station. I highly recommend.
