We came here for my brothers birthday and we booked a table for 7pm. We arrived at 6:55 and got a table at 7:20 which was a ridiculously long wait considering we booked in advance. The restaurant was filled with customers. However the food was great, we ordered Singapore chilli crab, oysters w xo sauce, fried rice, honey chicken, Peking duck and San choy bow. Only bad thing was that the Peking duck meat was a little tough but everything else was amazing. Apart from the long wait, the food was great.
Went here for Mother’s Day and the service was surprisingly well. They accommodated for us fast and were extremely patient while ordering.
Considering the area, for Chinese food, the price was very decent and we had a good feed.
The food here is what you would typically find at a Chinese restaurant that hosts functions and big weddings. The popular dishes for my family are the Lobster in XO sauce, abalone, steamed fish and crab.
I had the stir fried vegetables with tofu and unfortunately the majority of my plate was just broccoli and bok choy and the small amount of tofu on the plate was not nice and fluffy as it should be.
If you’re planning on going here I would advice sticking to the seafood dishes.
The food was spot on. Couldn't fault any dish and my friends especially liked the fried rice, they ordered it twice! Seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection 👌 The lobster with XO sauce was the best dish!!! Food - 5/5
Service was 5/5, the owner/waiter and staff was providing us with great service and so good they even brought us a bucket of ice for our BYO drinks! I've never had that before!
Decor and interior could be better but overall pretty clean Asian restaurant and I would definitely come back :)

Well the food was absolutely amazing so fresh the sea food was taken out of the tank killed in front of me and then cooked and fresh red cherry tomato sauce

Chinese food with LARGE portions. Seafood is highly rated. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Next time I'll have to avoid the lamb lunch special.
Food was good and the service was ok. Gotta book a table if going in big groups. Would suggest the Singapore lobster. Just a tad bit over priced but then again all places that sell lobster is over priced
Great value, very friendly staff, always a joy, would highly recommend to friends and family, pricing is exceptionally reasonable for the great flavours.

Decent food at decent price. We had the Yan Zhou fried rice, pigeon, black pepper sizzling beef, egg plant pot and pork belly with preserved vegetables.
The fried rice was good, egg plant was nice, slightly sweet, the flavours varies from restaurant to restaurant. Could use a little more chilli? The sizzling beef seems to be a popular choice, almost every table ordered this. Pork belly was overly sweet. I prefer a 50/50 mix of sweet and salty preserved vegetables. This was too sweet for my liking. The pork belly also took forever to come out. We pretty much finished eating before it came out. Pigeon was alright, nothing to wow about, can get better at other higher end Chinese restaurants. The colour pales in comparison but it was at least moist and not dry.
Service was good, staff was attentive with a smile on their faces. The place is very busy during dinner time, which is a good sign. Good mix of different cultural background eating here. Seeing some Asians eating here is another good sign.
Overall decent place to eat at. I will definitely return.
This place has always been the go to with the family. The food here is delicious and so well priced.
Plus side is, my nieces love the food here, so that makes it an easy choice when picking a place to eat with the entire family!
Our favourites are the Tempura Shrimp with Salted Egg & Ginger Shallot Oysters.
Great food that is a mix of traditional Chinese cuisine and a menu that is tailored for the local community. It's always busy which is a good sign. The prices are reasonable too.

Recommend getting the 2 course Peking Duck which is really cheap for duck!
I have visited here a few times and tried quite a bit off the menu. The food is really tasty and also a really generous serving size. The service is also really good and it never takes long for food to reach the table. It is also reasonably priced. Definitely worth a try.

Golden King 2000 has been open since 2000 and my parent and I have been going there since their doors open. The food is wholesome, filling, worth the dollar and not to mention delicious. It's has helped celebrate , birthdays, anniversaries, momentous occasions like passing exams, driving exams and many more. Golden King 2000 is that family restaurant that allows a family to come together and eat and be Merry. The staff are attentive, kind, helpful and welcoming. This restaurant allowed for my family (mostly my dad) to learn how to eat more than just sweet and sour pork, beef and black bean and fried rice. I give thanks to them. Today we order- pippies with XO sauce, salt and pepper squid/ flounder, Peking duck, steamed fish with ginger and shallots and a variety of noodles. Not to mention the old school favourites still make an appearance.
The food- the menu is vast with "golden oldies" favourites and other dishes that are definitely something to give ago.
If you live in the area or not it's definitely a restaurant that has comfort written all over it.
My absolute favourite Chinese restaurant of all time! Can't find one better ! The food is mouth watering and is priced on the cheaper side of the spectrum. Friendly staff and a nice environment, the interior could be renovated though. However it does not stop me from consistently attending this restaurant!
Hong Kong style is the best sauce you can get here with crab. It’s spicy, it’s sweet, it’s sticky, IT’S GOOD.
Great family restaurant. Must have the Shandong Chicken!!!! The staff are always friendly and may even have a sip of wine with you!!!! This place is not about the look but definitely the food. Love it!
Love the food. Definitely not a restaurant for the romantics or a quiet or contemporary dinner, but if you're happy to brave the cramped tables, you'll love the food.

Went there for dinner and loved it. We were going to get a squid dish but the waiter told us not to as sometimes "it's like chewing rubber" we appreciated this and followed his other advice on the satay chicken, this was yum! We also had the quail, bit dry, the deep fryed prawns, yum and the chicken san choi bow, this was ok but toi much onion. All in all it was good and they have large servings, we didn't finish any of our food. On Sat booking should be made.

Wow it's been 5 years since I've been here. On a Sunday night it is packed out,you need to book ahead! This time I enjoyed myself more. The spring rolls were standard,the salt and pepper squid was good and a large portion. The San tong chicken was ok but not to the standard of other Chinese restaurants. Duck with crab meat sauce,just ok. A lot of broccoli around it. The pork mince beans with basil was the stand out. A different take from shrimp paste and it works. Service wise food came out fast,prices a little cheaper than expected. I saw other Asians here too,better than expected,a hidden gem!

IS this a hidden gem that only the locals know?. I was surprised how big this place is, I was expecting a small local chinese restaurant and was surprised it was the size of two small local restaurants, seafood in fish tanks, a sunday night with customers which was about 75% full, so my expectations were a little high.
The food itself was what I expected from an aussie-nized chinese place. Nothing that I tasted was a standout. We ordered the banquet at the back of the brochure and we were surprised that it costed less than what it was advertised. The amount of food which was advertised for 4-6 people filled the 5 of us up with only a little left over.
Nil issues with service but my friend told me they usually have to check the order because they have mixed up at times. Value: its cheaper than most chinese restaurants and they have lunch specials. Unexpectedly popular it seems, especailly in such a small shopping complex. For myself nothing special but its good value here.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney. Quality of food is excellent. Lots of meal choices including fresh seafood straight from the tanks. Staff are wonderful with prompt service and very friendly. Available for takeaway and dining but you may need to book for dinners because they are very busy. You won’t be disappointed.

Anyone claiming a restaurant is "westernised" just wants to feel like they are better than you for knowing a restaurant you don't. We are in the west, all restaurants have some kind of western influence.
This place is always packed and the booking system works about as good as a Sydney train, so prepare for a wait. It's worth it though the food is fantastic. I recommend the seafood.

Always a go to place for good asain food. The prices are good for the amount of food ordered. This place can get really busy during the weekend so is best to book ahead to avoid disappointment. The staff are friendly but can be really busy so must be patient when wanting to get something.
Do you want really tasty Chinese Food, at an affordable price...... well here's the place for you, the "GOLDEN KING 2000 Chinese Restaurant" located along Green Valley road, Green Valley ........ i love the food so much that i take my elderly mother to dine there 2-3 times per week. Food is great, service is great, price is great, it's just a great all round restaurant, the only thing that lets the restaurant down is trying to find a parking spot out front ............................. what more could you wish for. And if you go, tell them you read my review, they know me as PIKACHU!
