I came by absolutely starving one day and was pleasantly surprised by the eggplant feta pie- SO GOOD. Their coffee was also tasty and service friendly. Definitely will drop by again to try the other pastries
Charming place across road from Redfern pk. Coffee is great. Service excellent and friendly staff. Very busy on weekends get in early
A cute place next to Redfern park with a bit of a sitting area and a bakery.
We tried the almomd croissant which was delicious.
Didn't try the bread but it looks good.
Wide selection of sweet and savory. The ambience is nice and small and intimate. The waitress treated every customer so kindly and makes the place worth returning for.
If you are on redfern, please support this tiny artisan bread shop located on the corner of Chalmers street ( opposite redfern park )
I was there and watched the lady ( I assumed the owner ) helping some unfortunate person with bread.
I saw this person came in while I sat down having my piccolo and brownie biscuit sandwich with peanut butter filling, and the lady still call him “darling” and gave the bread to him.
I think what a good cause that comes from gold heart to help people that really need is need to get supported!
By the way, their products are good and they are supplying to other cafe as well.
You don't have to be a bunny to enoy this place: mellow coffee, addictive cakes, try the Frangipani tart, cheerful service ALWAYS, outdoor seating and without doubt, the best ambience in Redfern. Easy street parking at the week-ends. And if you are brunching it, add the spinach rolls to your waistline.
Breadfern has a certain ring to it, and immediately conjures up an image of a bakery in Redfern. Which is exactly what it is. They serve a decent Toby's Estate coffee and while there is no indoor seating, they do have a few sidewalk table and chairs for diners.
A lovely bakery in Redfern.
I tried out this place with a couple of friends.
Coffee is quite ordinary. Bake goods are quite tasty but nothing was too special about this place.
Wish they had some more tables and table service.
Great location thou.
Breadfern is a little bakery cafe across from Redern Park (home of the mighty Rabbitohs). Order at the counter, there's no tables to eat in, but a few outside. There's bread and pastries like croissants, sausage rolls, and pizza breads to choose from, they also offer Coffee. I ordered a Moroccan sausage roll and a dulce de leche puff. Both pastries were made well, with nice crisp pastry and tasty fillings. The coffee was pretty standard, it is called Bradfern for a reason they specialise in baked goods.
Loved the place. I would recommend the salmon sandwhich, really filling and delicious. I also tried the lemon meringue, which tasted just like home. So that must mean it's good right?
Coffee was great and not lazily made. They had a wide range of food in both solid and liquid forms. I mostly purchased items that are less than $10 as I wanted to try a bit of everything.
The bagel with cream cheese was a bit tough but the bread itself was nicely seasoned. The mushroom and chicken pie could be warmer but still tasty. And the Lemon Lamington had a great balance between all the flavours.
Overall happy with my purchases and keen to try more. Just a bit hesitant to pay upwards of 10.
Always love the pastries and bread here - their French roots influence is clearly seen in their products. Croissants here are buttery and flakey with nice layers inside. Their special danishes are always a delight to try!
I bought the black rye sourdough and it came with a bread bag which is really cute. The staff was also very kind and definitely will come back
Best almond croissant I’ve ever had! The coffee here’s great too. Decent price for decent pastry.
This bakery shop offering so many type of good bread and awesome pastry plus dessert.
Today for afternoon treat, I chose rhubarb and raspberry pastry 🥮 with my piccolo.
First talk about the yummy pastry;
those caramelization around the pastry edges was perfections!
Texture was light, flakey and crispy!
Filling was on point! Tanginess from rhubarb and little sour from raspberry was perfectly balanced with sweetness from sugar syrup that brushed the outside layer of this particular pastry before baked Lao it performed nice crust!
Amazing !
Coffee was powered by Toby’s Estate.
Honestly the best bakery in town!! Consistently fresh products and amazing pastries! They have everything you need for a perfect afternoon tea.
