This is my favorite cafe to sit down in redfern.when the weather is good, it's great to sit in the sun and enjoy the coffee and the big breakfast here.
I appreciate this cafe as surprisingly, there aren't as many in this part of Redfern as I expected. It has a well designed interior and classic cafe menu. It is a bit expensive (typical of Sydney) but I loved the idea of adding pomegranate and radish to the avo on toast - tasted fantastic.
I never had breakfast on Redfern St so today I was the new kid on the block meeting this new cafe. This place looked like a bustling establishment in the morning compared to other cafes. We decided to give it a go. What a nice surprise it turned out to be! The interior was nicely decorated with a classic and floral theme. Front and back area are both spacious, with the back more suitable for 2+ people.
Xihuahua đ¶ ordered the eggs bannie It was probably the best I have had in Sydney. It was such a great idea to replace the mundane bread with chunky hush-browns! The eggs were great (Weâve seen better poachies đ). Loved the plentifulness of spinach on it. Everything worked so well and the dish looked very pretty too.
I got cheese burger with fries! Cheese wasnât adequately melt and the patty was fairly dry. But I was ok with it since it is a result of lean beef not overcooking. Not as spectacular as the bannie but it was a nice dish and very filling! Interesting use of cumin seed in a beef patty...
Oh btw their coffee is pretty good! Better to get your coffee first while waiting for the meal, they are not swift in cookingđ. Overall a promising new place on the block, keep it up! It is new and visitors should give some reviews to help them out.
A little bit struggling to find a good breakfast place after the New Year as there are not so many places fully opened.
Guoriumđ§Ș and I finally found this one and actually it was great đ! Highly recommend itâs Benny whose base is the hush bun. Although their poached eggs are little bit overcooked, and the egg white is kinda dry, the combination as whole is not bad.
For its beef burger đ, the cheddar wasnât melted which I personally prefer the melted cheese. I seldom have nice burger at non-burger-oriented restaurants, thus this one is not too bad.
Great cafe with lovely staff. Coffee is really good, with multiple non-dairy milks on offer: Bonsoy soy, Milklab almond & Macamilk macadamia. If youâre normally an almond or soy drinker, macadamia is definitely worth trying - Iâve started getting my coffee (with maca) here before work, as the coffee & milk are both great (if youâve had a bad alt. milk coffee, youâll know itâs worth finding a cafe that does it well!).
Besides coffee, the food here is also great & the decor is really cute. If you sit outside in the morning youâll also get to see a lot of cute dogs on their way to/from the park, which is a bonus!
Cheeseburger : đ Great
Brekky Burrito : đ Great
Tim Tam Pancakes : đ Amazing
Gym Junkie Shake : đ Amazing
The Cure Juice : đ Great
Beautiful cafe that can get busy on weekends. Beef in the cheeseburger was a nice, fat patty but it was quite dry and rubbery. The Brekky Burrito was monster-sized and tastes delicious. Nothing beats the Tim Tam Pancakes though. Crispy, fluffy, golden pancakes topped with heavenâs amount of Nutella and crushed Tim Tams. The gym junkie protein shake was an absolute winner!
What a nice surprise. A new stylish, sunny corner cafe in Redfern. We were served up an early lunch by a handsome, extremely large, bearded waiter, and the food was very good indeed. I always fall back on a Croque Monsieur and am surprised how often itâs a miss. It really needs a generous portion of bĂ©chamel, with the whole thing covered in cheese of course. This was very good.
Dropped by for brekky having seen that it was a busy cafe, and taking that as a good sign.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I decided to the corn fritters with a side of bacon.
The fritters were cooked very dark, almost burnt but it meant a crisp caramelized outside with a fluffy tasty inside.... delicious. a generous serve of well cooked bacon as a side. Super delicious and I really enjoyed it all. Recommended
Great venue to visit!
Even though the space is small, but their food are lovely.
Look at the picture with chips and burger that I had, it is huge for sure :). Couldn't finish it . We had 2 coffees as well. Their art is brilliant.
Will come back for sure
Charming cafe that I have put a lot expectations to try, and must say I felt a bit disappointed.
Corn fritters tasted good but the smallest I have ever had.
Veggie brekkie had nothing special. :/
I really wanted to like it more but with price and what has been offered, we will probably not be back.
Cool cafe a short walk from Redfern station. Simple cafe classics done well. Coffee is decent also
Some of the best pancakes Iâve ever had. Really happy with the food and the service from the friendly staff! Definitely coming back to this wonderful cafe.
Street corner vibe
Enjoy brunch and cafe under the sun is so chill
Like the food and service very much
Highly recommend
Lovely people, the best coffee in Redfern (including the decaf - they grind it fresh for each cup), and great food in a beautiful setting that pays tribute to its past and features some great street art outside and in the rear courtyard. The chef's attention to detail is impressive, and the servings are generous. The Vincent Vega is the best burger in Redfern, their hash browns are amazing and not like a typical hash brown. They're crispy balls of goodness. There are a number of hearty, healthy and vegetarian/vegan options along with the usual bacon and eggs, etc. Other great dishes include the chilli eggs with fetta, the superfood nourish bowl, the Tim Tam and Nutella pancakes, the buttermilk pancakes, the list goes on. They also have chilled sparkling water on tap, so if you like your water fizzy, you don't have to pay for it. Hunter's Corner is my food home.
Friendly fast service, good coffee and tasty food.
