Great atmosphere and the outdoor seating area is very romantic with a nautical feel. This place serves up a mixture of asian cuisine. Drop in for drinks and pick from plates to share. There's also substantial mains. Lots of drink choices too.
My top picks would be have to be the chicken karaage with wasabi dipping sauce, prawn toast, and spicy beef cheeks (really tender and full of flavour)! 👌

Potts Point you could say has undergone a metamorphosis. Once a loud crazy club scene, it has now transformed into an eating Mecca. New restaurants and bars are popping up all the time. Now, may we introduce you to Honkas Bar + Eats, Potts Points newest resident, and one we can assure you, will become a protagonist in the area.

Sex services premises have given way to dog grooming parlours, and small bars have ceded space to yoga and pilates studios as the NSW Liberal Government's envisaged gentrification of Kings Cross proceeds apace. Honkas Bar + Eats is thankfully one of the rebadged suburb's exceptions. It sits on a now-quiet corner of Kellett Lane in the large indoor-outdoor, multilevel space that was once The Village, and, before that, Favela. While it’s still predominately a drinking venue with an easy-going vibe, the short, to-the-point menu does make some concessions to the new dog-walking, clean-eating denizens of Potts Point. Which is how I came to be eating a bowl of Kale ($14) with chilli and sesame, while pondering how much things have changed. While the kale might have benefited from being smashed a bit harder with some flame, it’s a good accompaniment to a moist fillet of Steamed Snapper ($24) served with boy choy. The fish is...

The food was absolutely delicious! But what made me even happier was the amazing service. The staff is so friendly. I felt very welcome and comfortable. I was not rushed at all, which I feel happens a lot in Sydney. I could really enjoy the food. Also the venue itself is lovey with a nice little courtyard. I highly recommend this place!
Alright spot with nice food and drinks. Servings are kinda small so make sure you get a lot of each thing if you're hungry. The bao are tasty and the salmon was alright... But was more empty plate than salmon. Tastiest were the crunchy won ton things.
Drinks were alright too and topped off with super friendly and fun waiters.
Cocktail and Dumpling class is a must with a loved one or friends. Incredible drinks and food. The staff are all amazing. Special thanks to Kieran for teaching us the art of dumplings. Can’t wait to come back.
Enjoyed the dishes pictured for their 90 minute "free flow food yum cha". This isn't the usual yum cha you'd get, so don't go in expecting traditional yum cha. My favourite of the lot would definitely be the baos (so so good), rice paper rolls (super refreshing) and their karaage chicken. I really like the vibes of this place too!

Came here for a Cocktails+ Dumpling Making Class. One of the best event experiences I have had while in Sydney.
The instructors made it fun, the people were good and the food was amazing and nothing was rushed.
Also a very nice outside area for drinking and eating and the bartenders were very skilled!

Had a great time! Excellent food (should be rememeber that it is small portions and light so good to order bigger share plates if you want more)! Love the quirky location and vibes too
Made dumplings and cocktails. Wonderful staff with great senses of humour. Was so much fun and had a feast on our dumplings which actually tasted great. Highly recommended
