We’ve been to visit Banh Xeo Bar ever since they started with their market stall. It’s our favourite Vietnamese in Sydney.
The menu is great and offers lots of different options. The Banh Xeo with pumpkin is amazing. All the flavours are incredible (you need to try their home made chilli sauce too). The organic produce is so incredibly fresh and their home made condiments and pickled onion mix together perfectly.
I am a little obsessed with the eggplant croquettes, make sure you leave room for them! They are like little squishy parcels of goodness that explode in your mouth.
If you’re up for a Banh Mi, give the soy sauce eggs a try! A huge roll packed with so much flavour- you won’t be disappointed.

We have dined here several times now, and the food is absolutely incredible, everything is made from scratch. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service is outstanding. I am a professional chef myself, and this is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have tried. It is obvious that the food is made with great love and care.

Excellent food and personable service. The Ban Xeo (pancake) is my fave. The noodle salad bowl is also delicious.
Great to see nose to tail eating on a menu and well executed.

It's just stupid to give a "cheap eats" award to a place selling $15 banh mi and $20-$28 banh xeo. This is definitely an expensive cafe. However, it's probably decent value by the standards of the Cannery because the banh xeo is quite big and comes with lettuce and mint on the side, plus the pork and other stuff in mine was very tasty (didn't even need the kimchi that I ordered with it for flavour).  The mushy eggplant croquettes were even tastier.  The Vietnamese iced coffee was also great with a rich flavour but good smooth balance of the ingredients, and they didn't charge any more for that than other places.

I’ve been to Banh Xeo Bar in The Cannery in Rosebery a few times now, their bun bo hue is awesome and I love their bone marrow so for my bday lunch with the fam I decided it was time for the ½ Berkshire pig head ($79.50)!. The pig head takes about 30-40mins to roast so we order some dishes to share while we wait. The Lemongrass chicken Banh Xeo ($25) has a 15mins wait warning message but it’s definitely worth the wait. The banh xeo is massive and every bit as tasty as it looked! Super crispy lacy edges and choc a block filled with fragrant chicken pieces and fat beansprouts.

Vietnamese pancakes from Banh xeo bar are the bomb! Very light and crisp pancake with fantastic fillings. We tried the prawn and pork, mushroom and the chicken pancakes. All were amazing. Would recommend adding egg for a denser meal.

My first experience eating Vietnamese pancake ‘banh xeo’, I thought I would try this place which was recently voted best cheap eats by Time-out and I had also walked past before. I ordered the Vietnamese banh xeo pancake with thinly sliced beef tongue, lemongrass and chilli. I loved how crispy the pancake was (its yellow from the turmeric - so added health bonus!) and it was served with crunchy, fresh cos lettuce which you wrap around the pancake and dip it in the nuoc mam dipping sauce. The pickled veg and fresh herbs were the perfect accompaniment. Service was speedy, I thoroughly enjoyed my first banh xeo, I’ll be back!

The Cannery in Rosebery is a destination you need to visit if you are looking for food and beverages around the Rosebery area. The Cannery has it all; quality Cafes, a brewery, a distillery and a number of quality dining establishments. Hidden inside the Cannery is a relatively new Modern Vietnamese Restaurant called Banh Xeo Bar. It is run by a husband and wife team who originally started the business as a market stall specialising in Banh Xeo (a savoury Vietnamese pancake/crepe). They are integrating traditional Vietnamese cuisine with nose to tail British cooking techniques and boy the food is good.

A seriously delicious Banh Xeo - probably one of the best in Sydney! While it is a little bit on the pricey side, it’s definitely worth a visit. The Banh Xeo comes with lettuce cups and a nuoc Cham dipping sauce, which work together so well. I will definitely be back!

Seriously best tasting bun bo hue I’ve tried for years!
Although the menu is quite simple and price wise is quite high.
Will definitely come back for more.

We love Vietnamese dishes but interestingly, we've never had banh xeo's before. It's fresh and tasty and we'd definitely want to eat again. The other dishes are really good, too.

The Berkshire pork pancake was really tasty. Could have done with more lettuce and condiments. Chicken noodle bowl is quite fresh.

Miss dining out so much.. Finally back to this delicious local joint, after a long three months hiatus due to the lockdown. Everything were as good if not better than the last time we ate there. The Banh Xeo was crunchy, full of flavour, and perfection when eat with the accompanied wrapping condiments. It is fresh, texture and joyful taste in your mouth. The side dish of pig head nugget and deep fried pig trotters just naughty, yet irresistible. So glad to be dining out again, can't wait for next visit for the bo bun cha and other banh xeo special…. Banh Xeo Bar where Vietnamese fusion done in perfection!

Banh Xeo Bar was a really lovely experience. Service was welcoming and friendly and the seating was very clean. Their Vietnamese pancakes are a must-try (light, crispy and full of fresh herbs and filling) and accompanied by their freshly made pickles. I loved their Pig Head Nuggets - deep fried nuggets of slow cooked pork goodness. It is pricier than the cheap and cheerful fare you get in Marrickville, but the quality of their ingredients and the atmosphere of the Cannery makes it a special treat! Can't wait to go back to try the rest of their menu.

This is my new weekly lunch spot and I'm excited to try everything on the menu. So far I've tried the pork shoulder banh mi and noodle salad, both amazing! It's slightly on the more expensive side but the quality and taste of the dishes are worth it.

I absolutely recommend this eatery. We tried the Berkshire pork belly banh xeo and it was crispy, held its shape well and very tasty. The salads and condiments went well with everything. The bbh and pig head nuggets were super delicious too. I love it how they had Bia Saigon. Well done.
