Was so ecstatic to find out from my friend that Origami is still open but on Flinders st. I love coming here to have my special box. The older lady is always very friendly as usual and the food is very reasonable price.

Excellent food and super friendly service. A hidden gem of Japanese food in Sydney. The place is very cosy and has an old rural Japanese feel. Traditional and friendly service, authentic food and the sashimi is sensational. Great value for money for quality food. You won't regret visiting this place, just remember to bring your cash!

What a great place! My partner took me here claiming it to be the best Japanese outside of Japan and boy, was he not wrong! The curry udon was amazing - the soup is so flavoursome and the udon was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the Special Box, which came with tasty sashimi and gyozas. Portions were generous and the staff were very friendly and gracious (the lovely woman kept checking if our glasses were empty and would come over to refill if they were) Great value too ($33 for 2 mains and 1 large salad) - it's unheard of these days!
Highly recommend this place - get your numbers right Zomato, this restaurant's rating should definitely be higher than 3.0!

There was a fantastic place, I really enjoyed every time when I was there. The foods are amazing especially Special Box with full of stuff such as couple pieces of fresh salmon, Gyoza,Fresh Salad and Huge Chicken Terriyaki with rice so incredible!!!! Super Friendly Service ❤️❤️ Don't forget to try Matcha Latte!!! I'm highly recommend.

Walking into Origami made me so happy! It is so cute, quaint, and the staff are superbly friendly. All meals are amazing value and made fresh after ordering. The sashimi donburi was generous and delicious.
