Campos is a big player in the industry, always love their dark intense taste of caffeine from this brand.
The classic banh mi was really quite tasty, with a lot of ingredients and a fresh crusty baguette, and only $7.80 (but others were strangely much more expensive). The coffee is good - hot, strong, rich, not very creamy but it was just what I wanted. They have some breakfast offerings until 11am but it's not clear if they run entirely separate menus - I arrived just after 10am and asked about the baguettes and they had to think about them and then said that they had just a few of the selections available. They have a bunch of small outdoor tables where you can watch the world go by or, if you get cold easily, they run their heaters even on a balmy autumn day, so you'll probably enjoy sitting inside.
The tofu baguette (4/5) the baguette is so crispy, the tofu is lovely and soft and the pickled veggies gave this a really great balance in flavours. What a pleasant surprise!
The watermelon cake (3/5) was nothing special. Sure it was refreshing and creamy but it was missing the rosewater punch and doesn't measure up to the famous black star cake
The coffee here (4/5) is definitely the better option around East Village. If you're after a coffee to go then Taste Baguette will serve up a decent one
Overall this place is a bit overpriced but I wouldn't mind coming back and trying other things on the menu to give it another whirl as long as the coffee is good. Some great latte and more Banh mi options here too.
Busy with late lunch diners, early afternoon diners, the cafe was a bustling hive of activity. The guy on the espresso machine had his work cut out for him with a seemingly neverending queue of coffees going out. Good Campos coffee although they did get our iced mocha order wrong, instead serving us an iced green tea latte. The guy taking our order must have gotten confused by our conversation about matcha!
We usually got our Sunday take away coffees in here and we quite enjoy it. Avo on toast was very good as well, we need to try sandwiches soon! The girl at the counter is always smiling and the service is pretty fast.
Love Taste Baguette. Definitely my 'go to' for quick and easy sandwiches that are fresh and tasty. The pork and brie is a brilliant combo. They do some pretty good cakes too.

Been here many times you have to get in early for pork as it sells out but the chicken schnitzel is great
Great coffee and good food. We go here every weekend for coffee. It's great. The staff are super friendly and sometimes they get very busy on weekends and can take a little longer to get your coffee out to you. I'd rather wait for good coffee.
Always walk pass this place while shopping in East Village but never try this until a friend of mine was having their Baguette and they say it taste good. So came here with her recommendation and order the Fennel rusted Roast Pork Baguette with brie, lettuce, rocket, honey mustard mayo. The roast pork was tasty with crispy skin. Paired with a big slice of brie and very crusty and tasty baguette it was yummy. The Pastries and cake on display looks good would want to come back again to try more things here.
Good baguettes. We had the Portuguese Chicken and the Lemongrass Chicken ones, $9.50 each.
Great coffee and awesome food all round, especially their baquettes. The reason i don't give it 5 stars is i find the young asian girl working this afternoon to be arrogant, I've never seen her smile, her customer service skills needs to be greatly improved. Today is the 6th or 7th time i have seen her arrogance on display, causing me to write this review.
I started buying Croissant from them since a year ago, usually 6 pieces every week so I know what I’m talking about. Definitely decent pastries! One of best place for Croissant in Zetland/Waterloo
Taste Baguette at East Village Zetland is my go-to – really, I’ve been coming here every morning since July 2017 (that’s 1,400 cups of coffee!) so I know what I’m talking about. Why? Yes, the Campos coffee is awesome but it’s the Princess of Zetland, the one and only ‘Da’ that keeps coming back every morning without fail. My day wouldn’t be the same without a shot of Da – just love her to bits!!!
My Everyday go to coffee spot be4 gym. Food is good as well . Staffs are friendly. I will try Taro Latte one day when I am more good in shape haha~
Open on New Years Day = major bonus! Plus, baked on premises croissants (my favourite is the plain - crispy and buttery). It has become my new daily local as part of walking my puppy routine (there's a dog park across the road). And the ice latte is very good (not too milky, nutty coffee flavour).
