Ordered mocha and the new dome dessert. They forgot to serve the dessert and we had to ask twice and wait for more than 20 mins. The dessert looks pretty but I don’t think they tempered the chocolate properly. It was too thick and the dome didn’t melt properly. Overall still a good experience but could’ve been much better.
I personally loved Guylian since I was small. The place is a bit small if you wanna hang out with large group of friends. The place is pretty easy to find just few steps from the Town Hall station.
The staffs are not really that professional in doing customer service.
However, as I expected, the desserts were excellent.
I ordered 5 pieces of classic Guylian Praline Chocolate and a waffle with banana.
The waffle is kinda different from the other ones that I have tried before cuz it is crunchy not soft; hence, still good.

Guylian’s Tomato & Bocconcini baguette was spot on. It is relatively cheap. ($9) It comes with a thick cut of fresh avocado, sundried tomato and chuncky slices of bocconcini. It tasted light, fresh, filling and full of flavours. Love it. Portion was rather large. Would recommend this to be shared between two. The hot dark chocolate was good too, not that sweet. Although a bit pricey. The only thing thats bothering me is the take away hot cocoa was only available in the large size, which doesnt really make sense to me. I would prefer a small or medium as it is more of a rich and heavy type of hot chocolate.
This chocolate shop is beautiful and perfect location in the CBD. With beautiful coffee (100% Abrabica) and super desert. Highly recommend this place.
My boyfriend got me a customised cake from this place. To be honest, its a really good cake! It wasn’t overly sweet, the chocolate was rich and the textures all worked soo well together. I definitely recommend buying cakes from here! Definitely underestimated this place, but its actually really good.

But everything here should be above average.
The flat white with almond milk is good and sure, their hot chocolate is one of the best. And from my memory, they have breakfast set which with very good price.
Also, they don’t have large table for people more than 4, but the long narrow seating actually is quite cozy. The room is heated at the cold windy 💨 winter in Sydney.
Plus their service is good! The staff are nice.
Therefore, they deserved at least 4
Of course Guylian would make hot chocolate and iced mocha just as delicious as their chocolate seahorses although the interaction with the waitress was just like talking to a zombie.
Nice store - right on George St but with most tables behind glass makes it a good spot for coffee and watching people. The coffee seemed good beans, well brewed and a good temperature but was excessively weak - maybe I should have had hot chocolate. Lots of chocolates and desserts of course and the truffles I had were good except they brought me different ones to what I ordered.

Sydney's love of all things chocolate continues to flourish and grow - and the growth of Guylian venues certainly proves this. There are two Guylian's in the CBd and this more southern one is in a prime position right on George St near Town Hall station. It must have some of the heaviest foot traffic going past it in all Sydney.
I had a short coffee break here, from a walk in the CBD. The guylian mocha was small but tasty, similar to starbucks. I liked the small peaceful glass-lobby where you can sit, just next to the café. The service was fast, but the small size and ok taste (I expected guylian-like taste) make the mocha slightly overpriced.
Guylian Belgian Cafe is a great cafe to visit for breakfast or midday snack, their coffee and drinks are perfect with the right consistency and right flavour, their store is quite small but extends into the apartment building next door and their raisin custard swirl is perfect when warmed up which you can ask the staff to do so. The only downside is that the staff can be slightly rude depending on their moods, been here multiple times and have been served with great enthusiasm but have also been served with the can’t be bothered attitude. However overall a must visit
Take a dark nugget of slinky chocolate, mix one teaspoon of roasted coconut, add a hot milky chocolate mix and you have a little taste of delight. Combine with a Belgian waffles with vanilla ice cream and a hefty apologetics of chocolate. This is chocolate heaven. Try it while looking out over the town hall at sunset .
Located on George Street, just down the hill from Town Station. Nice modern place for a coffee and a snack. Especially something sweet…

Coffee was great… and the Blueberry Muffin was delicious.

Very busy & in a great location. Variety of sandwiches & pies, cakes, sweet pastries, biscuits etc. The prices are great considering the location except for the cake slices which are extremely overpriced - I haven’t tried them yet, they look great but the portions are very small. I’ve tried the muffins and some of the sweet pastries n they were always very fresh. Service is very polite n quick & the store and tables are presentable and clean .
I was disappointed with the mocha ,very plain - u can barely taste any chocolate let alone Belgian chocolate! 4 stars coz the service is always friendly and helpful especially when it comes to choosing !
A friend of mine bought tarts from this place for my birthday; they were so, so good and amazingly presented! My favourite is the lemon and meringue one, it makes your stomach feel well full. I liked also the strawberry one. We didn’t liked much the third type bought but to be honest I don’t know which flavour was, I couldn’t tell. But the others were perfect and made my day.
Back in Sydney and excited to get to Guylian.
Excellent hot chocolate and the ham & cheese croissant was delicious.
