Appears to be a family run business. I ordered the wholemeal pancakes and really enjoyed those. Pleasant breakfast experience when compared to the fast moving hipster cafes who mainly resell wholesale food items.

I enjoyed this Healthy Almond Meal Pancake very much. It’s so delicious, and freshly baked after ordering. It took a bit longer to wait for the food to be served but it surprisingly delicious. Love it, will come back.

First of all, props to the Whole Meal Café for opening up right at Taylor Square with an offering of healthy food (‘Vegan!’ shouts their chalkboard). This isn’t a spot I’d expect nutrition, surrounded by so much alcohol and decadence. But of course, folks in the Eastern Suburbs purport to be healthy and go to the gym an awful lot.

The concept behind Whole Meal Café had been in the pipeline for over a decade before it opened in Darlinghurst in 2010. You may have spotted it in my ever-popular Top 10 Healthy Eats in Sydney post, but when I was invited to try out the new menu, I was a little more than excited to write a full review.

Fantastic place to get some food that fits in with your macros!!! The owner is amazing she is passionate and simply beautiful!
Almond meal pancakes were to die for! Hubby's protein protein brekkie was delish!
I bought some protein loaves to take home... Yum!
We will be back!!!

Great modern clean looking cafe. The display fridge looked fresh & not over stocked. Well lit with colours that pop. Staff were very friendly & service was great. The coffee was very good & the banana bread was delicious. They asked if I wanted it toasted with butter rather than just assuming which I liked. Reasonably priced, all in all a great little cafe. (& the free wifi doesn't hurt!)

I had a iced mocha. I do not know well. I think they use chocolate powder for this, but if they use chocolate syrup by melting real chocolate. The taste would be better than now.

Delicious! I had the protein cloud - egg white omlette with chicken and brown sourdough with cold drip coffee.. enjoyed it so much, i had it two days in a row! Excellent customer service, plenty of comfortable seating plus a few outdoor tables. Great menu options. I think the interior may let it down a little, you could be mistaken in thinking it was a fish and chip or burger shop. Will definitely go back next time im in Sydney!

Glad to find this small cafe that offers a nice selection of healthier eating, and some nice smoothies. Would be good if you offered some some health superfoods that can be added to the smoothies. Banana porridge was enjoyable on cold Sunday morning, and the protein bread was really good. Great find!

The signature pancakes...changed my life 😭👌🏻😍 Delicious food, friendly, timely service, nice clean tidy cafe with tasteful decor and pleasant vibe. Perfect for a casual business meeting or catch-up w a friend. Will be back often ☺️ Happy I found this gem!

I had an omelet which was pretty good. The almond milk latte was above average. Staff is friendly and courteous. Nice place to sit back and people watch.

Gorgeous whole food, paleo, gluten free friendly cafe in the heart of Darlinghurst. For any real health/whole food nut, you MUST try the protein bread. Sub the toast that comes with breakfast... Magical. It's better than bread! LESS THAN 1g OF CARB!! And full of goodness. The juice bar part is also a personal favourite. My favourite is the chocolate super smoothie. Delish!
