Delicious taiwanese food. Love love the popcorn chicken, so crispy and not too oily. So many things to chise from. The shaken teas are refereshing. Prices are so affordable!
My favourite go to place if I want some Taiwanese cuisine. Fast service. Food is yummy and price is reasonable. Suitable for under group of four people.
Alwata crowded but the place is very small. The food was good. The price was okay not that expensive and cheap so in the middle. Its chinese food restaurant. Probably we need to eat fast because usually other people also waiting.
Personal favourite: deep fried egg plant & mushroom. Order a new potato & tofu this time. Taste quite similar to three cup chicken & highly recommended. Nice place for any vege lovers :) btw, the deep fried and sweet sour fish is the best!
Great value with good portions! I ordered the lu rou fan, and it comes with a generous side dish (i got fried boneless chicken). You can add $1 extra for a drink (wintermelon or black tea).
There also cheap and small side dishes that you can get from the front to accompany your meal.
Service is quick. It seems to be a restaurant thats always has lines so be prepared. They do take your order when youre waiting to be more time efficient.
We visited this Taiwanese eatery last week after many years of absence, not being in the area that often. It was great to see that the food is just as good as it was 15 years ago, very reasonably priced and well cooked. Service is friendly and efficient. Their set meals come with a main, rice and a couple of accompaniments (usually egg, vegetable or tofu) and a slice of orange to finish. There are also a variety of small side dishes on display that you can pick and choose from. The place can get busy but turnover is fast.
A clear winner in the area, much like the small Taiwan street restaurants, the place is quite small and can only fit a few people in at a time. I ordered the Taiwan Minced Pork with rice set with a side and you can add a drink for +$1. The minced pork has a great taste and the radish gives it an extra flavour. There's a lot of rice so it is very filling and I would recommend the side dish of fried chicken or pork chop. Overall, they have fast service and have had a great experience.
This is quite good Taiwanese restaurant quality. Have a lots of cold dishes menu and shouldn't miss a bowl of pork mince rice. Jelly pork ear was a very interesting dish to try too. But it will be very long queues for linch time.
One of my favourite places for Taiwanese food in Sydney. Their pork mince rice is my favourite! The small rice + a side + a drink for $14 is a steal! You definitely get your money’s worth and a full stomach as well.
Decades old Taiwanese restaurant in Sydney, Chinatown. Don’t let their name fool you, they not a dumpling restaurant. They serve Taiwanese comfort food.
Their braised pork belly rice (滷肉飯) while is not as good as the ones in Taiwan but definitely one of the better ones in Sydney. Unfortunately, their so call signature hot and sour soup is, IMO, a lame duck hot and sour soup. Not spicy and not sour, despite it is full of ingredient. It seems like they compromising for local tastes. The best and absolutely must try are their side dishes, just walk up to the display cabinet and point to whatever looks good, the staff will do the rest.
This is Taiwanese style cuisines, located near Haymarket.
Price is affordable with amazing taste.
I've been here many times and never boring with the food package.
Try mince pork with rice in large size, you can add $2 for drink option.
There's hot plain tea as a complementary.
I got some takeaway side dishes and the noodle. I loved all of them. The bitter melon was a bit bitter than I expected, but after all, it makes a good balance with other dishes. I'd love to try other dishes too next time. There were so many choices!
The ultimate comfort food, their mince pork rice bowl is definitely a must try and you can even get wintermelon tea for $2 which is a great deal!
My absolute all time favourite place for a delicious Taiwanese meal that doesn’t burn the wallet. Have been coming here for over ten years and still constantly craving to go back - I’ve even been to Taiwan several times now and still find myself craving Cho’s. Love their minced pork rice and fried chicken wings. Iced black tea is always a nice finish to the meal. Also don’t forget to get some of their side dishes! You can see the options available in the fridges near the window and ask them to bring them to you. Highly recommend the marinaded pig ears 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Taiwanese eatery that serve simple food but tasty.
Plenty of cold dish to choose from and most of them are tasty.
The Bento style meal very nice.
Simple side dish.
During lunch or dinner time can be long wait for table since the restaurant pretty small. Not suitable for large group or large person.
Price relatively cheap
This is a small restaurant and sometimes you have to wait outside for a while but it is worth the wait. You can choose from the menu what you want or just go for small side dishes that are on display.
It is best to go early as it can become quite busy. The fried pork and vermicelli beef are very delicious. If you do not want small dishes then can order from the set menu .
Lovely service and great tasty authentic Taiwanese food. Descent price.
