The most popular cantonese restaurant in haymarket, I come here once or twice a week for lunch and dinner since i work in the city. Very nice congee, chilli fish balls, xo pipis
Have been told several times that they are quite famous for congees. The answer from me is yeah!!!! It’s true!
Prawn 🍤 congee and curry brisket are two choices you must order together!
Congee is soft and melted immediately in your mouth 👄. Brisket is soft as well! Lime beef but not chewy at all!
Guorium🧪 let’s visit one day.
Great price, huge serving tasty food.
While their food taste is not the best one I have tried I still think this place worth to be mentioned for their price and also their famous porridge.
Really good food and you get a large serving for the price, so you get your money's worth. They have a variety of options as well. They also have outdoor seating which is a bonus
+3 good food!
+1 authenticity!
Noise level: normal volume conversation
Warning: authenticity includes a somewhat tatty interior. But that’s part ‘n parcel of the whole deal. The food is legit.
I enjoyed the food here! Really authentic canton cooking. (I was feeling sick, so the congee was super comforting!) Duck and soya sauce chicken was juicy and tender, servings are generous, even the asian greens were sweet and fresh. Try to come with a few others, you’ll get to try more and pay less ;)
Ok the place looks filthy but then which Chinese restaurant isn’t lol but this place serve authentic or what I had real HK flavours yum yum yum good congee and fish balls
Came here after a pub crawl and apparently they open 24 hours. We ordered 7 dishes between 4. The preserved egg congee and oyster pancakes were my favourites - I could taste the oyster but it was not over powering. The portion was very good and reasonably priced. The service was super quick and we got really full towards the end.
Excellent portion sizes to price ratio. Can tell that some of the foods and sauces are bulk prepared, but it's good that they only do it for the dishes that aren't too affected by that. Long opening hours means great supper but be careful not to over order as their portions are quite big.
The food was acceptable and the staff were cold and efficient, as is customary in cantonese culture. The corn flour based dishes were excellent, as expected
SuperBowl reminds me of those dingy Chinese Restaurants you see in movies. Semi clean tables and floor, a ton of staff who don't really speak English and customer service is unheard of. All of this doesn't matter because it's always packed! The food is excellent and it's not going to break the bank.
The XO pippies are delicious, the sauce isn't too chilli, full of flavour.
The duck with egg noodles is delicious. The duck is cooked perfect and the plum sauce is the perfect combination. The egg noodles are dressing in a sweet soy sauce like no other.
The stand out dish for me was the glutinous fried rice which had heaps of the delicious red pork sausage pieces through it (not sure how else to describe it).
Good food taste. Good verity and selection. Poor service due to short of staff. Porridge is good.
Common,/popular dishes served fast. But other non common dishes take super long.
I'm from Melbourne. Always love to visit this restaurant for a super. No service but authentic Cantonese food. Classic Cantonese restaurant love coming back again and again.
Perfect definition of cheap and cheerful - can never go wrong at Super Bowl! Open until late (2 am, if I’m not mistaken) and deeeelicious Chinese food.
A true Sydney institution. The service here is not going to be for everyone; there is a dragon lady who demands to see your vaccination passport upon arrival, the way she talks may seem aggressive to some, but that’s just the Hong Kong style and she means no harm.
The congee here I believe is one of their best dishes. Always get it with the fried donut. The hor fun noodles are also worth a try, and all dishes are nice big portions.
