Have been told several times that they are quite famous for congees. The answer from me is yeah!!!! It’s true!

Prawn 🍤 congee and curry brisket are two choices you must order together!

Congee is soft and melted immediately in your mouth 👄. Brisket is soft as well! Lime beef but not chewy at all!

Guorium🧪 let’s visit one day.

Great price, huge serving tasty food.

While their food taste is not the best one I have tried I still think this place worth to be mentioned for their price and also their famous porridge.

Really good food and you get a large serving for the price, so you get your money's worth. They have a variety of options as well. They also have outdoor seating which is a bonus

+3 good food!
+1 authenticity!

Noise level: normal volume conversation
Warning: authenticity includes a somewhat tatty interior. But that’s part ‘n parcel of the whole deal. The food is legit.

I enjoyed the food here! Really authentic canton cooking. (I was feeling sick, so the congee was super comforting!) Duck and soya sauce chicken was juicy and tender, servings are generous, even the asian greens were sweet and fresh. Try to come with a few others, you’ll get to try more and pay less ;)

Came here after a pub crawl and apparently they open 24 hours. We ordered 7 dishes between 4. The preserved egg congee and oyster pancakes were my favourites - I could taste the oyster but it was not over powering. The portion was very good and reasonably priced. The service was super quick and we got really full towards the end.

Excellent portion sizes to price ratio. Can tell that some of the foods and sauces are bulk prepared, but it's good that they only do it for the dishes that aren't too affected by that. Long opening hours means great supper but be careful not to over order as their portions are quite big.

The food was acceptable and the staff were cold and efficient, as is customary in cantonese culture. The corn flour based dishes were excellent, as expected

SuperBowl reminds me of those dingy Chinese Restaurants you see in movies. Semi clean tables and floor, a ton of staff who don't really speak English and customer service is unheard of. All of this doesn't matter because it's always packed! The food is excellent and it's not going to break the bank.

The XO pippies are delicious, the sauce isn't too chilli, full of flavour.

The duck with egg noodles is delicious. The duck is cooked perfect and the plum sauce is the perfect combination. The egg noodles are dressing in a sweet soy sauce like no other.

The stand out dish for me was the glutinous fried rice which had heaps of the delicious red pork sausage pieces through it (not sure how else to describe it).

Probably one of the only few authentic Chinese restaurants in China town. Superbowl is the place to be for some good authentic canto style congee, fried dough (yao tou) and rice paper rolls (cheung fun).

My go to congee is usually the sampan (seafood combination) or the century egg with pork. The deep fried dough/fried bread sticks (which are basically a stick of deep fried flour, similar to a donut) is a must get to go with the congee. If you still have space for more, I highly recommend getting the rice paper rolls. You can get it plain with peanut + sweet sauce or get your choice of fillings inside - usually people get char siu or prawns. My favourate is always char siu.

Unlike other restaurants in china town, it looks a bit old and dodgy from the outside. You can never judge a book by its cover though, the food makes superbowl a must try.

Pros : Good authentic canto food. Relatively clean. Freshly made rice rolls. Con : Menu can get confusing as they're so many choices of congees and noodles. If you don’t know what to get, try out my must get options! Must get : Sampan or Century(preserved) egg Congee, fried bread sticks and char siu rice paper rolls

Yum, spicy fish balls!!!!!!! Best ever. This is the best place for a Chinese food fix. I'm upset I didn't have the congee. Regardless, the soy chicken, pork and pippies made me one happy piggy!

Super Bowl is conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown in the CBD. It's ambience is not their best quality but their food is quite good. We enjoyed the BBQ duck noodles and the congee. The service is average but they did apologise for the delay on one of our dishes when we asked about it (we suspect they forgot it!)

Been here twice now, and both experiences were fine. The service is a little lacking, but I don't expect much from Chinese restaurants of this type.

The Singaporean fried noodles were great. There are many variations of this dish but Super Bowl's rendition of it is exactly how I like it. There was a generous amount of toppings and there was a tasty sauce that kept the noodles from being dry. The flavours were well-balanced and not too salty at all.

We also tried the Beef brisket noodles. There was a huge mound of noodles and a very generous amount of beef, as well as some chopped bok choy. The large chunks of beef brisket were generally tender, with the exception of a few edge pieces. The noodles could have done with some sort of sauce, but they were fine as is nonetheless.

Very good value for money.

A few chairs and tables outside and a tacky neon sign has this place screaming for attention in the middle of chinatown!

The service is prompt.

The food is decent. A bit salty and heavy on oil, but leave your calorific worries aside and the tastebuds will be satiated in the end.

Have tried various dishes over numerous visits.

Overall, if you're stepping by past dinner hour, make a quick pit stop for a satisfying meal !

Price range is 30-50 dollars a head for a king size meal !

What Superbowl lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in flavor. I love the Shandong chicken here and the French beans with shrimp sauce. The chilli oil is out of control - I could just eat rice and their chilli oil all day long. I usually end up spending at least $30 per person.

Dirty Chinese food in a nutshell. Not an insult, in fact quite the opposite - if you're in need of a quick feed with a great variety to choose from then this is just the place. My best memories of Superbowl are late at night with good company and comfort food.

Rice ninja!!

Great place to get a quick meal, typical chinese dishes can be found here.

Best thing about this place is that it opens late, my favourite dishes here are preserved egg and pork congee and salt and pepper squid. Their rice dishes are not too bad too.

Until next time ... Keep eating ‼‼‼‼

Walking down Chinatown, you'd most likely expect restaurant workers to shove flyers and menus at you; promoting their food and whatnot.
Superbowl has that regular steady flow of customers; minus the over familiar haggling. Their food is a mix between traditional/western influence Chinese. In addition to it being affordable for locals and uni students.

This is a chinatown institution, serving a good variety of Cantonese dishes from proper dishes such as clay pot seafood combination, steamed fish, to a variety of noodle dishes such as chow mein. They also cater to the supper crowd and is open till late. They do have Hong Kong style breakfast sets as well.

I visited this place because of the Zomato Asia on Your Doorstep Food Tour and it was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious shakes they make there and how delicious the peking duck pancakes are. What i love most about this place is that it closes in the early hours of the morning so you can come here anytime and order all the dishes! The dishes are cheap and customer service is typical chinese restaurant standard.

Our third stop on the Zomato Asia on Your Doorstep Food Tour was Superbowl Chinese Restaurant. While it may seem unassuming from the outside, all of the dishes we sampled were impressive, with particular highlights being the Peking duck pancakes and the fried pork dumplings. We also tried each of their mango, mung bean, taro and strawberry drinks, which were so unique! Our favourite was the mango, which had coconut and rainbow jelly pieces and was sweet and refreshing. The taro also surprised us, and was much sweeter and more flavoursome than we expected.

In the early morning this place is the only sign of life on Dixon St. Breakfast sets are cheap - food is not really that great, there are better rice rolls out there, but OK for the price.

The fish-ball & lettuce congee is my favorite, & they do an OK salt-and-pepper tofu.

Old-school HK ambience, brusque service (and, always check the bill & your change...) but if you get here early enough for the 20% off (I think this is before 5pm) then on balance it's not too bad.

I was thanking my stars for Superbowl when I arrived back in Sydney one evening, starving, and it seemed as though the whole city had decided to close early. Not Superbowl however, which s something of a legend destination for the after hours eater. They have a big menu, tasty food and keep the kitchen open late so you don't need to worry about attitude if you order after 9pm.

I finally built up the courage to step out of my comfort zone and try something I had wanted to try for a long time.

I checked the menu outside Superbowl before I entered and chose the "A" option on the breakfast menu, as it was only 9:30 AM. I walked in and a lady asked if I wanted a table for one and she promptly showed me where to sit before putting a big jug of hot tea on my table. I was unsure what the deal was with the tea, I assumed you just help yourself to as many cups of it from the jug as you want, which seems to have been how it works.

The combo contained: A bowl of plain congee, one fried breadstick and steamed rice noodles.

The congee and breadstick were the first to arrive, this was about 5 minutes in followed a couple of minutes later by the rice noodles.

This was the first time I had tried congee, so I was hesitant to try any extras in it, other than dunking my breadstick in it. The congee was nice, nothing special, though what would one expect from plain congee? The breadstick was cooked properly and tasted nice when dunked into the congee to make it not so dry. Finally the rice noodles arrived. They had what I assume is hoisin? sauce on them. It was nice, a bit sweeter than soy sauce. They were a bit difficult to eat with chop sticks, as they slip easily, but I managed.

When I finished my food, I proceeded to the register and a young man working there showed me the docket with the price on it and I paid and left.

I am unsure if many people working in there spoke English, as I did not hear anyone speaking it other than the initial lady who served me.

Over all, despite being a bit nervous, the visit was fine and food was fine. I am considering trying some of their other meal combinations at breakfast time when I am in Sydney next.

They range from $5.60 to about $8.

First time I have dined here, I have to say I liked it. The food we had was good, came quickly. We ordered the chicken congee, very flavourful lots of ginger which I liked. Pipis in XO sauce, this is a hard dish for me to like because I always get pipis with grit or she'll in it and it turns me off but none pipis I had contained grit so I was a very happy camper! We also had stir fried snow pea shoots, never had snow pea shoots before and they were delicious they were my favourite dish of the night. I will definitely be returning.

To be honest, this place should be the most authentic Hong Kong style dishes within the Sydney Chinatown food precinct. If I were you, I will order the congee with Chinese doughnut, Wanton noodle soup, Beef brisket dry noodle and Braised Chinese vegetable with garlic or shrimp paste. Don't forget to order the PiPi with Black Bean if it is the right season.

Many a late night (and early early morning) have a frequented Superbowl in Chinatown after a big night out on the town. I've never actually posted about it though as usually I'm way to drunk/tired/confused...However, on this occasion after wandering around the town for 30 odd minutes trying to find a place that suited our appetite as well as our budget, we finally stumbled past Superbowl. Surprisingly, this was actually at dinner time...

Super Bowl is well renowned for their clams in XO sauce and is also another one of my personal favourites. A dish you simply must try! Clams served here are always sweet, grit free (rare I know) and doused with copious amounts of that glossy spicy seafood (XO) sauce that always, hits the spot. Right on the bullseye. The bowl is positively and always overflowing with all the good stuff. Amen!

Congee anyone?. Because of the low key decor and 'Chinese style' relaxed service I could almost with my eyes tightly closed imagine I was in a little restaurant somewhere in Hong Kong or China....The food is simple, tasty Chinese fare. Its famous for its congee and I always make sure that I order one or two especially if its a late super as nothing beats a delicious congee just before bedtime...or for that matter first thing in the morning..(must be my part Han blood speaking!)

Absolutely Amazing. Absolutely amazing for when you just feel like good, no frills, Chinese food of large serve, reasonable price and excellent quality.

I wouldn't be exaggerating to say that a very stereotyped dish like black pepper was done incredibly well. The meat was incredibly soft and succulent.

Definitely going back!

A true Sydney institution. The service here is not going to be for everyone; there is a dragon lady who demands to see your vaccination passport upon arrival, the way she talks may seem aggressive to some, but that’s just the Hong Kong style and she means no harm. The congee here I believe is one of their best dishes. Always get it with the fried donut. The hor fun noodles are also worth a try, and all dishes are nice big portions.
