I am here all the time. This place has my favourite vegan duck and bbq buns but above everything is the two ladies that work there!! They’re so kind and friendly and provide quick service despite it being busy and only having one person in the stall at once. I hope they see this, keep up the amazing job 💘💘
Such a great find in Chinatown where the veggie options are questionable. I love the food courts but I questioned the 'veggie' soups, I think real beef and chicken stock soups get lost in translation when asked if vegetarian. This place has so many delicious options and is super cheap with huge portions - and you know what you're eating doesn't contain animal products! They don't get enough promotion and praise IMO!
Blossom Lotus reminds me of the Singaporean food courts. This vegan stall is located inside Dixon Square in the middle of Chinatown. It is hard to believe the way dishes are prepared here with soy, mock chicken or mushroom to give you a taste similar to meat. The food is quite reasonable however you need to pay in cash and take away boxes cost extra 0.30$. The quantities are massive, thus I believe two people should share one dish.
Very yummy!! Loved the green curry and eggplant dish. Might need to ask them to reheat as it wasn't hot enough. I asked for extra rice and they were kind enough to oblige.
$10, 3 sides and noodles. Great value, good taste, i had the red curry which was delicious, mushroom eggplant which was pretty good, and the chilli eggplant also pretty good. Only suggestion would be to make everything or at least the Rice, tofu and tempeh organic.
Really good value for some decent Thai vegan food!! A lovely old Thai lady works here and she’s always very accommodating and friendly. There are plenty of options you can choose from in the pre-cooked foods - i always go for the lemongrass stir fry and the soy slices. So yum! You can also request for some menu food items. I like the pad kra pao - it usually changes in the way it looks (may have different ingredients) but generally has a consistent delicious taste. My favourite vegan place in the city.
Following the success of the original Blossoming Lotus in Newtown, the stall in Dixon Street Food Court provides a more central location to shoppers. As the sign says, Blossoming Lotus serves vegan Thai food that is natural and has no MSG, onion or garlic. The food stems from the Buddhist belief that you shouldn’t hurt any living thing.
