Lovely little place for a drink after work. This old building has a variety of rooms on two floors plus a cozy backyard. Each room is furnished with living room furniture around an old fireplace, with styles ranging from grandma to ABBA. There are also board games to choose from, making this little bar a very comfortable place indeed. We ordered wine and a German style beer which was really good. They have a wide selection of international beers, so it never gets boring. Later that night a local musician set up and started to entertain us with smooth, bluesy songs on his guitar, great stuff!
We came to this bar on a Friday night was pleasantly surprised to find a live Jazz band playing some really fun popular songs. The staff and the owner were genuinely happy to speak to us and to have us in the bar and gave us awesome service. They have an excellent selection of beers and each one I ordered was really good. The Decor is really cool and homey, an awesome place to spend an evening.
Cozy bar on Glebe Point road, that's a little different, perfect for after work drinks in a comfy atmosphere. There will always be some nice background music but never too loud so no problem to come if you want to have a nice chat with friends without having to shout at one another (I hate those kind of bars). You can choose one of the comfortable sofas or chairs on either one of the two levels of this highly recommended quirky wine bar. There is also a little courtyard in the back for smokers. On different nights of the week there is live music as well.
Went here on a Monday night as my friend settled here for his graduation drinks. The place feels great and the decor looks great, quite cool I think and there is an outside area at the back. We were sitting upstairs in one of the room and the vibe was great.
The drinks menu is good and there is $5 German cider which I tried. Quite a good place to go after you have eaten dinner around the Glebe area.
Amazing venue. Great drinks, awesome live music and brilliant supporter of all things swing dance.
It feels like rocking up to your mates place for a couple of drinks.
There is always a nook to sit and chat quietly, or a while room full of live music, spoken word or burlesque.
Really cozy and intimate place. Plenty of live music to enjoy and the ambience is awesome. The staff are friendly and serve the margaritas with a smile on their face!
When you walk out back to the beer garden you get this wonderful summer feeling. The fairy lights, the trees. You forget right outside the door is a busy street. It's so peaceful.
This is a great small bar in the heart of Glebe Point Road. The bar has a really inviting decor and the staff are really friendly. We went there on a Monday night and they had live music. Beautiful mulled cider is on offer, which you can sip while you sit under the stairs!
This corner bar is small and very quirky, with a mixture of seating from tables to chez lounges. It's very small but intimate and is over a couple of floors. Great for a place to chat and catch up before heading out to dinner. They do offer a small range of bar snacks and some hot food. I was surprised at the high prices, considering it's in the university area of Sydney ($11 for a glass of Proseco and $18 for a espresso martini)
