Good ambience and service. Great place for friends to catch up and enjoy authentic Sichuan food. Ox tongue and lamb was also surprisingly good, highly recommend it.

Very good dish if done well but their crab eggs and satay sauce taste weird in this soup. The silky tofu was fine.
Service was was quite good. I would recommend this for authentic Sichuan food! Xihuahua 🐶 liked those dishes too.

I like sichuan food but I must admit I havent tried many places aside from the various Red Chilli Sichuan branches. I guess it's because it's good and so I'm happy to stick with it.
The restaurant has a variety of dishes including non spicy for those who can't handle it. The cold bean noodle was a great refreshing and spicy way to start the meal. The shredded pork on hoisin sauce and wrap reminds you of the peking duck wraps, better to get the actual peking duck dish at a chinese restaurant I reckon. The fried pumpking with salted egg yolk was interesting, however a bit oily. Fried rice with mince, veggies and preserved bean was not bad. There are better dishes from the menu that we didn't have on this occasion.

Recently we took a wander down Dixon Street and ended up at the place that pioneered Sichuan cuisine in the Sydney region, all the way back in 2002. It’s called Red Chilli Sichuan Restaurant, and you access it via a carpeted staircase that has seen better days. The dining room however, is expansive and nicely decorated, with an array of private dining spaces. High backed wooden chairs surround golden-topped tables that are bathed in yellow light. Slate tiles frame a viewing window into the kitchen, where a calm, efficient white-clad chef labours.The second you’re seated, your table is instantly treated to tea and an appetite-inspiring plate of spicy Sichuan-style cabbage and peanuts. The deep fried pork beans are absolutely delicious and the Szechuan chicken with chilli's is hot but amazing!

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the fish fillet which is very fresh and tasty. It is a great place to have diner with friends and colleagues. Highly recommend!
This is an amazing restaurant. It is based on traditional Sichuan cuisine, at the same time it also have some creative dishes like the "Stir Fried Snow Crab with Chili Sauce". The best deep impression which l remembered was the "Deep Fried Chicken Dices with Hot Dry Chili". It cooked with Sichuan pepper powder, chili, garlic and shallot. Wonderful tasting!!

i like their kong po chickenkong Po Chicken, as you may have heard a lot about, ranks top in the Szechuan Cuisine list. Spicy though, Kong Po Chicken is sweet, different from other typical dishes. Pepper, crushed peanuts mixed with chicken pops create a special taste for you. Taking a spoon with white crystalline rice, you feel hot in the mouth and sweet in the throat, which gives you feeling of comfort in the heart. Kong Pao Chicken leads you to the ultimate of food and makes you regret you've met with her so late.
This Sichuan's style food is quite traditional and the dishes are tasty, the services are always nice, also the price is acceptable for universal consumers.

I love that sichuan style smoked duck and lobster with chilli very much, all the food was tasty, and service was very nice, will come back next time.
The manager gave us a bit of the cured pork from their farm to try and that was amazing! We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and I feel this will be a good place for workers and people nearby to go!

Secretly tell you, where the waiter is also very nice, ha ha ha ha Dishes are very good to eat, the service is very thoughtful, every time will be very happy, will often come with a friend to eat。

Food, we have ordered the mouth watering wok fried angus, that was so delicious and it is a must try. Second is the steamed dory fish recommended by their server and everyone on the table nearly lick all the sauce in the plate, fresh and beautiful favour. All the other dishes that we ordered are quite good as we could tell they are different from what we used to have in so many other restaurants.
it is my favorite restaurant. when I go to Sydney, I always choose this restaurant. I think the spicy food, specially hot top beef/ fish is very good. in my opinion, I think people should try it.
Loved this place probably one of my favourite restaurants that i'd been to when i was visiting sydney for a short holiday. Service was quick respectful and efficient. The design and layout of the restaurant was nicely set out with a large outdoor seating area for those who want to dine outside.
Food was just as amazing . Though a bit pricey but its worth at least one experience for those who like spicy food and a unique chinese food adventure!
It was so GOOD - the food and the services!!! Would definitely come back. Spicy chicken dices with dried chilies is a MUST TRY. Also don't forget the Chef special spicy fish fillet.

Amazing Sichuan food! I have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in Syd, and Red Chilli is a perfection. They serve fresh seafood with advanced cooking skills. I'd like the comfortable environment. FYI, the boys here are really cute😝

Come from Canberra and surprised that they have so many branches in Sydney. Very consistent and delicious taste and really fast service! If you like Chinese food, especially spicy food, you shouldn't miss this place!

Fantastic place for meeting, party, birthday,etc. There are not only palatable and very delicious dishes but also a large number of different types of drinks such as Chinese Tsingtao bear, Australian VB..... If you like spicy food, you should go this place; If you like light diet, you also should go this place. Red Chili is such a magic place that has all kinds of authentic Chinese dishes. What's more, the waiters there are really handsome and enthusiastic!!!XD

Another Fantastic Sichuan restaurant in Chinatown. Good ambient, fast service. Ordered pickled mushrooms, cucumber salad, fish fillets in chili oil and mixed Chinese buns. Fish in chili oil was absolutely divine, the fillets were so fresh and cooked to perfection. Pickled mushroom was very nice, interesting texture with vinegary flavor - a great side dish to order. The buns were nice but I think it's more of a dessert, it was little sweet to eat with savory food, if you are ordering this I would recommend to order at the end.

Their mapo tofu is outstanding and is a constant order. As is the century egg with tofu or green chilli. Anything they do involving pork belly is outstanding, but I'm a fan of the pork bell
Impressed. Great meal. Braised Pork was sensational. Ordered chilli tofu, pork pancakes, garlic cucumber. Food all very nice. Very reasonably priced and service was fantastic. Will definitely visit this place again during my next visit to Sydney.

I heard about this restaurant through a friend who advIsed " in Chinatown don't go in to a restaurant that has people outside trying to coax people to dine at their restaurant"... So we didn't! We had to wait 20 mibs a for a table so make a booking if you want to go on he weekend. The food was delicious but j thought the menu was limited! For instance they only had 4 prawn dishes on the menu! We couldn't Fynwy Kung pao prawn and king pao chicken so we got the latter and salt and pepper prawns . For $26 that wasn't worth it. For 3 mains and 1 entree we paid $70, but we have a doggie bag too!
All you can't eat!. Must try the HOT POT! all you can eat, and you get the choice of spicy or chicken soup, or both! service is ok, waiters tend to hide behind the counters so you have to call them over if you need anything. The only thing they could change about the food is the oiliness of the spicy soup. Other than that, this place is a must try!
Hot hot hot. Holy sh--- this is the ONLY place my mum would go for her chili fix. Get the beef hotpot thing filled with chili, it's the best. Other dishes are good too.duno what other reviewers are on about, we received quality service, the girl was so sweet we wanted to adopt her. nuff said.
Fantastic food, but beware the servings are enormous especially the hotpots which are enough for at least 2 hungry people. Definitely recommend it though

Fantastic Szechuan Food!. Sunday was our 2nd visit - this time went with a couple of mates so we could try more dishes & what a gr8 time we had! Started with Steamed Pork Dumplings (12 to a serve - most generous) - yummy. Followed with Steamed Green Beans & Pork Mince (everyone voted this the best dish), then Kung Pow Prawns (gr8 prawns but a tad too much sauce), then half a crispy skin Roast Duck (superb). deep fired Lamb Ribs covered in a dry topping of crisped red chilli, garlic, shallots (quite hot but a terrific flavour). All washed down with 2 bottles of Clare Valley Riesling & copious cups of green tea - total was a quite reasonable $152 + tip for the 4 of us. Highly recommended but a warning many of the dishes are spicy hot [which is gr8 if you like that as I do :-) ]. They don't do Yumcha but will allow BYO at $3/head. Service is cheerful, friendly & prompt.
We were wandering past looking for somewhere quick to eat before seeing a show. This place was off the main restaurant street but was packed full of people, a good sign. The food was incredibly fresh and fast. Easily the best salt and chilli prawns anywhere, Hong Kong included. A great meal, highly recommended.
