I go to Paddo Grind almost every day. Hera, who greets everyone by first name is incredible. She knows almost everyone’s orders, and is so fast! They make the best iced lattes in the area, and they’re affordable too. Would recommend the avocado on toast!

Small in size, but massive in personality, this family run cafe is a fabulous spot to sit and enjoy the friendly atmosphere as the locals pop in for their regular orders, the chatter of locals passing by and a delicious cup of tea, served in a tea pot.  Food was delicious, staff were friendly, and I left better off for having stopped by asking to charge my phone.

Such a fantastic spot in Paddington, very small
Space but fantastic food so worth going to. Service was extra friendly and the atmosphere very vibrant. If you in the area, I highly recommend trying this place.

Seems like a very humble family run cafe. The decor is simple and a bit tired looking but the friendly service gives it a cosy feeling as you watch the local regulars popping in for their morning coffee fix. Chai Latte ($4) uses Chai Me Organic Chai with quite a nice flavour. Skim Latte ($4) perhaps a little pricey but uses Toby's Estate Coffee with a strong flavour kick. Babyccino ($0.50) comes with two marshmallows and I'm surprised how well they do this one. Comes in a paper cup and has about half froth and is quite a reasonable price. Blueberry Bagel and cream cheese ($5.50) is good although not sure why it's served with vegemite on the side. Bacon and Egg Roll with caramelised onion and barbeque sauce ($8.50) is pretty tasty and a decent size to fill you up for a breakfast on the run. There's a few muffins and pastries at the counter and a fridge in the middle of the cafe with plenty of sausage rolls stacked up on the bottom shelf. Must be a popular choice for some reason. If you have toddlers just keep in mind the cushions on the wall bench aren't fixed so can easily slide off which can be a little dangerous for them. I think these guys are so old school they're not on social media — just pure and simple hospitality.

The food was fine and the coffee was fine. It's not a fancy place, but the owners are salt of the earth, and seem like the nicest people who could own a cafe. And on a sunny, not-too-hot Sunday, it's blissful to sit at the edge of their cafe, almost on the sidewalk, and enjoy Paddington walking by.

For a Toby's estate coffee it's as good as it gets. Loved it. Pity no aircon, but the fans seem to do the job. The tuna sandwich was good, could be spicier though.

Grand!. Fresh produce in the salad, great salad dressing which the owner gave us the recipe for, staff look like they want to be there - child friendly they let my four year old pay the bill. The best coffee in Paddington. The Paddington eating / cafe scene suffers from too many cashed up locals - The Grind seems to be the only place here that values service, quality and good coffee. A neat & nicely run little cafe.

You won’t find better customer service than what you get here, not to mention fantastic coffee and a great B&E roll. Love starting our day off with a walk to Paddington Grind!

On a lovely Sydney Sunday morning, looking for a quick bite and single espresso, walking across Oxford Street, barista Ade’s smile shone from a block away - and the coffee carried that smile in its smooth taste and excellent Toby’s Estate secret blend. And Hera then brought a salmon bagel to die for. What a pleasure to visit Paddington Grind, super-friendly staff amply supported by superb coffee and food. Highly recommended!

Dropped in for a quick bite and got an excellent smoked chicken sandwich. All the staff were friendly and diligent. The atmosphere of the place was really nice too, hope I get the chance to swing by again sometime!
