Good portion. Food is tasty. The place is a bit difficult to find. I think, there is a scope to improve the ambience of the place. Price is ok but could be cheaper.
Tried this place on a half price Dimmi deal as we were in the area. The food was hot and delicious and we were served quickly. It was good to try some Pakistani food instead of the usual Indian. It was a quiet weeknight, there was only one wait staff and we could see that he was handling takeaway/delivery orders as well. He was efficient, not rude but also no smiles or conversation whatsoever. Not an issue for us as it's not a fine dining place but some people may not like that.
Happily surprised! It's not a fine dining restaurant but don't let the front facade fool you. The front looks more like a cheap takeaway joint but its actually a great city Side Indian restaurant with a funky interior and friendly staff. We ate for dinner tonight and the food was great. Served quickly, all very tasty and for a pretty reasonable price. We were actually lucky enough to book through dimmi and got a massive 50% discount which made it cheaper than cooking! All in all its not the flashest place but the staff are friendly and attentive and the food does not disappoint.
Amazing Biryani and starters .! Took a parcel few days back .!! Half tub of chicken biryani .!! Quantity was pretty fair enough and even the taste was satisfying .!👍🏻💯
Ummmmm YUM! I ordered a vegetable korma from the lunch special menu which came with rice and naan bread. It's absolutely delicious, the staff were lovely and it was ready in no more than 5-10 minutes. Definitely my new Friday lunch spot.
Chicken Malabar is amazing ! Home away from home feels. The starters are pretty good as well. Takeaway is a minimum of $35 though . That's a bummer 😐. Otherwise perfect !👌🏼👌🏼
Okay Indian food. They have a standards Sydney Indian food menu (butter chicken, mango chicken etc)
The actual food isn't all that bad but nothing to write home about. I would rather cross the road and eat at the Korean BBQ joint.
Still not the worst Indian restaurant I have eaten at in Sydney.
I had a lunch set plate here and wasn't expecting much, but really liked it. For $15 I got a tin plate with a few pieces of Malai chicken tikka - chargrilled chicken in a creamy garlic pepper sauce - plus rice, a naan, poppadom and some mint dip and butter chicken sauce. The butter chicken sauce was very good, with a really savoury, onion-driven kick and the peppery chicken very tasty. Went back and had the fried marinated fish platter, which was also tasty but much drier. The decor is good and there were a few people in there who looked like regulars. The staff also were friendly and attentive. Better than expected.
Ordered the tandoori thali. The gravy was a bit less but the amount of chicken over compensated for it. The decor is really nice with bollywood music playing.
Food tasted great but portions were too small for the prices they charge. The service can also be Better since there are many places that they compete with, that have lower prices and Similar taste of food.
