Had lunch here with my 18month old daughter today. The owner was amazing. I had promised my daughter pasta, although I did not realise it wasn't offered on the menu. Unfortunately he did not have any dry pasta in the kitchen however was more than happy to use penne pasta that I had bought from the supermarket. He went out of his way to cook a Napolitano pasta for her, and did not charge a cent to do this. I also ordered a burger with sweet potatoe Crisps and the quality of our food was unreal. Thank you so much guys!
I have walked past Inlakesh living foods and casually strolled through their healthy good food store a few times. I decide to check out their breakfast menu as I am a local. . There's always a busy flow of people sitting at InLakesh Living Foods with coffees and food. InLakesh living foods is located in Macquarie Centre, right near Coles. As it's particularly hot this day, I don't mind sitting in the air conditioning in this cafe. For full review including photos - go to the blog post
Clean, healthy and gluten free, diary free food for all dietary types. Great service, friendly staff. Reasonable prices for meals. Seating is relaxed and has plenty of room for groups or if you feel like sitting alone on a stool.
I love their coffee! Every time (almost) I go to Macquarie Centre for shopping, I grab a latte from them. Food may not be as good as you expect from the menu, as they have quite a few creative combinations, but I think it is still worth trying.
Best Salmon in town! I love their Salmon love the salad that has crunchness and sweet zestiness that balances the rich flavour of salmon perfectly cooked to keep its moist intact. What more can I say?
Only down side is the sitting arrangement... Usually need to find seat outside of the cafe.
After the wild NYE night before, we had to seek some brekkie to soak up the remaining alcohol in our systems. Because our sole driver in the group was still probably over the limit, we had to catch public transport to Macquarie Centre, which was open on New Year's Day. Wandering the sprawling shopping centre, we found ourselves seeking sustenance at Inlakesh Living Foods, a healthfoods cafe within the mall. By this point, we were starving but took some time before ordering because everything on the menu sounded pretty good.
My body was so ready for the ham and cheddar omelette when it finally arrived. The omelette had the perfect amount of protein with slight greasiness necessary to revitalise after the previous night. I wasn't hungover, but if I was then this omelette would be exactly the type of thing I would want to start my recovery with. The only complaint I had is that they were very stingy with the amount of toast provided: it was one slice of a very small loaf of sourdough and very out of proportion compared to the amount of omelette. If you are also expecting a lot of kale, be prepared to be disappointed - as you can see, there was barely any kale. I don't care about kale either way so this didn't phase me but for the health-conscious, the lack of significant kale could be a let-down.
Overall, I was very surprised that such a cafe could be found within a shopping centre. I always assume shopping centre cafes are low-brow fast food places but Inlakesh proved otherwise. If I am ever in the area again, I wouldn't mind trying their pumpkin pancakes, because pumpkin and pancakes...
There’s a whole new trend sweeping across Sydney and that’s whole living, raw, organic food. Inlakesh living foods is located in the newly opened section of Macquarie Centre, and it’s both a mini supermarket and a cafe. The menu is completely raw and organic. After having tried the amazing raw, vegan cheesecakes at Earth to Table in Bondi, I was on the hunt for something closer to home.
This is a great little cafe located inside of Macquarie shopping centre. After spending what felt like hours antagonising over which dish I wanted, I decided to share the 'Alkalizing green vegi salad with grilled free range chicken breast' with my sister, and it did not disappoint! The serving size was generous and filled me and my sister up nicely (so much that I didn't have any room to try any of this Cafes gorgeous treats on display!) My only complaint was how long we waited for the meal, but when you have a health food store right next door and my dear old grandmother willing to wait at the table for my food, time went past pretty quickly.
So far I've only been here for their drinks and other groceries. I agree with the other comment- Katie, that this place truly is a hidden gem!
I might be a little bias here considering that I'm health conscious and am all about fresh and organic. But hey trust me, you don't have to be like me to truly enjoy what they have to offer here.
Chai Latte- ARGUABLY THE BEST CHAI LATTE I'VE EVER TASTED ! It's 9 Spice fresh organic chai w/ Honey. You really can't beat the taste of a freshly made chai (MOST cafes uses powder. ick.)
Inlakesh also uses Organic Certified Coffee w/ Country Valley Milk. Fancy pansy but their coffee is really good as well. Try their Mocha if you're up for some sweet alert treat.
Lucky me that I live close by and i'll try to visit here more often for their mains.
This place is absolutely under-rated and a hidden gem. This is our favorite place for brunch in upper north shore and we're regulars visiting almost every week. Never had food poisoning in there. The food is fresh and organic, the potion is generous and always good vale for money. Never had a dish there I don't like. Recommended for the health conscious, or people that looking for deli imported from Europe. I'd absolutely recommend farmer's lunch board, pumpkin pancake and crispy spinach. The Omelette is pretty good too. I'd recommend it to all of my friends and this place is dong great despite the low rating anyway.
