Yum Cha at Sky Phoenix is always consistently good. They have a great selection of dumplings, buns, spring rolls, noodles etc and you can order off the menu if you don’t see what you want from the trolleys. Quick and efficient service every time you go! #skyphoenix
better than the one in parramatta
I do love yum cha at all the Phoenix restaurants. I do believe they do the best dim sims and chicken feet. Their bbq pork is a hit and miss. I do feel their pricing point is on the higher side compared to other yum cha. But on weekend in town, usually there isn’t a wait time to get a table. Service and staff friendliness could be improved. Lucky the food is good and there is variety to cater for all dietary requirements.
Wife felt like yum cha, and just searched on Google and this was the closest one. We were already in the Westfield sky centre and it was located on level 6.
Upon entering, it seemed very busy and had to wait a little while. Once inside there were plenty of tables, and they put us in the corner. Didn't mind.
Very nice restaurant, and feel to it. Ordered the usual tea, and service is very quick today. Plenty of carts, were had the ones we get in Brisbane.
Pork and prawn, chicken feet, Chinese greens and of course girls saw jelly cups and had 2 of those. Flat rice noodles with prawns.
Everything tasted good today, maybe it was we were hungry from all the city walking. But we enjoyed ourselves, just a little better than Brisbane yum cha.
It’s the most famous chain Cantonese yum cha restaurant in Sydney. Located in the city center, this one was full of localised people, not like other yum chat places.
The food was quite good. However, I am not the expert for Cantonese haha.
Visited here on a short holiday from Brisbane. Had very high expectations for this restaurant as I’ve heard lots from my aunties!
Came here on a weekday lunch and it was extremely busy. Food was yummy but not exceptional, I guess it’s slightly better than Brisbane’s? Carts also moved around very slowly and was a very long wait. Received the bill and WOAH! it was a little out of my expectations, didn’t expect a few plates to come down to almost twice of how much we usually pay in Brisbane 😱! Couldn’t find the prices of the individual dishes on their menu but the aunties did warn us it’d be quite pricey. My partner and I will just stick to Brisbane yum cha then!
Ate dimsum for late lunch here, really hongkong style, they bring the food around table and choose by ourself, ordered a lot, and the taste is good.
A reliable yum cha in the city. Good for a quick feed. If anything’s not hot we always just ask them to heat it up or get us a fresh serve and they’re happy to help
Sky Phoenix Westfield Sydney has nice variety of yum cha dishes. My must haves include prawn dumplings and chicken feet. It’s a shame they don’t have beef tendon, although thats a not a deal breaker for me. They tend to get really busy during lunch but the queue moves fairly quickly. Overall I’ll be back for more delicious food.
Sky phoenix is a really popular yum cha choice in Sydney's CBD, and I can certainly see why. Now the 4 stars is really for the food and the delicious tastes and flavours that I was presented with, but I did think the food that we ordered took far too long to reach us - this is regards to some vegetarian food! I really liked the variety of dumplings, and dim sum items and liked how quickly our tables were cleared as well. Food is reasonably priced as well! On the weekends I recommend coming in around midday or after to get the max you can out of the food here :)
It’s a surprise when we had the lunch here. The food is super delicious , it’s such a fine dine but with the reasonable fair price . Highly recommend the chicken soup as well. If you like steam fish , here is the best
Love this place. Delicious fresh food, served promptly and efficiently. Don’t forget dessert - the mango pancakes and egg tarts are the bomb! Convenient location in the city. Get there early to get a table.
Had yum cha for dinner on a Saturday night 5.30 PM. It was fairly quiet and the checking in process was easy peasy!
The food was also delicious, my favourite was the prawn and chives dumplings and the salted egg prawns!
Friendly service, highly recommended! I had yum Cha awhile ago, that was also a great experience 😀
my favourite yum cha (this one or the waterloo restaurant). service is friendly (remember dishes i ordered that might not be ready yet). only been here for yum cha but.
My previous experience some years ago was disappointing but decided to give it another go since a friend hasn't been there before. This time we enjoyed the yumcha especially the chicken feet, prawn dumplings, BBQ pork pastry and pork spare ribs. Prices were a bit higher than I remember but then the cost of living has increased. Average cost about $43pp.
