Whilst visiting from interstate we dined here with a friend who recommended this place. Booked a table online in advance for a Friday night. Food is delicious, so many flavours I could not fault any of the dishes. We shared the pork, carrot, mushroom shu mai & wontons with bug meat, prawn, chilli, sichuan pepper & san choi bau, prawns, snow pea, corn for entrees. Followed by bang bang chicken, ginger, sesame, chilli, peanuts & master stock pork belly, chilli caramel with steamed rice for main. The pork belly was my favourite, so well cooked and it melted in your mouth, one of the best pork belly dishes I’ve had in a while. We made sure we saved room for dessert and shared the coconut sago, mango, lychee, mint & almond – this was a wonderful way to finish a great meal. Would like to return again if ever in Sydney again.

For some seriously great tasting pub grub with one of the best ever desserts - their Banoffee Pie - The London Hotel is the place to be for this delicious experience. We started with refreshing drinks, Mlady had a lemon lime and bitters of which she getting quite partial to and Sir had a beer - "one fifty lashes" that he enjoyed.
Even when I was living in Paddington, I never got to visit this place but finally I got to try their food and enjoy the ambience of their courtyard when I caught up with my friend and her son.
When we got there at 12, it was empty but the places filled up later. I tried their garden salad with squid which was more calamari rings and my son had their Margherita pizza from the kids menu which was generous in size. I also ordered their sweet potato fries which wasn't too bad but I have had better.
Glad to see it being kid and dog friendly with lots of seating inside and out in their courtyard.
Best beef burger and steak I've ever had. Asian is amazing. All the food is of such high quality was left amazed. Pizza was really good too.
Went to the London for a drink and spotted this asian restaurant. Menu looked great so we decided to grab a bite to eat. We ordered a delicious san choi now, a dumpling sampler and duck pancakes. The food was extremely good and service was fast. Our waitress was also very friendly! Great food, a tad expensive, but very nice.
A great looking venue upstairs...warehouse/industrial feel. Downstairs in 'the pub' was a bit different due to the 'sports crowd' that had turned up later. In saying that, upstairs was a different atmosphere altogether.
Food (Asian influence) was fantastic particularly the pork belly and the pickled mushroom. We also enjoyed dumplings and some beautiful chilli Ocra which was delicious. They catered really well for food allergies too (GF). Better than the food was the service. For such a busy place they were on to it & didn't miss a beat.
A pricey venue but worth a night out of your week

Great staff and mouthwatering food
Popular Paddington pub spot that has a great atmosphere and a good range of beer, wine and spirits. The weekly food specials are good esp. the Thursday $12 steak meal. We were there tonight farewelling friends and it was packed from 5:30 till late. Don’t be surprised if you run into pooches as it is a dog friendly place. Alcohol is reasonably priced for the area esp. when coupled with the value for money dinner specials. Limited menu on special nights may not suit everyone, however, if you are up for a pub feed in a chilled atmosphere this is a stop for you.
I think the garlic prawns are perhaps the best prawns I've ever eaten. Missed the mapo tofu that I've had last time but everything was amazing - service is always solid. I would def recommend. Delicious and lively, a quintessential Sydney dining experience.
The London has a decent vibe in a great location. It's a good place to watch AFL!
Food was definitely "pub food" but was decent. Service was ok.
Food was good and very tasty - dishes we enjoyed were the wontons, bang bang chicken, two chilli fish, sprouts, fried rice.
The white cut chicken was a little disappointing as was the lamb.

Came here for $12 steak night and it was incredible!! A lot of cheap food nights skimp on portions, but the London's food was plentiful and of good quality. Would come back and pay the normal price. The atmosphere is great!
Yum! I went to The London on their $12 steak night and everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, the portions were bigger than expected and the quality of produce was great. The place was heaving and the staff had it all under control! I was very impressed and I plan to return on many Thursday's in the future. One of my new favourite pubs in Sydney!
Never thought I would wait for a pub to open it's door but I did outside The London on the day of AFL grand final to support the Swans a couple of years ago. I had been to that pub once or twice before but on that particular day the atmosphere was electrifying as you can imagine. Its small and intimate venue provided the perfect vibe to experience on a grand final day.
Just hit up the chicken burger and chilli chicken pizza combo with sweet potato fries after the cricket- couldnt'v nailed it more appropriately. Service, food and location on point. Big fan

There’s nothing particularly English about The London hotel. For starters, it’s full of light, the bartenders are young and cute, and the food is modern Australian. You could say it’s a little Parisian, as they allow patrons to bring their pooches to the table. Speaking of collars, the male diners had theirs upturned, and full of colour – where else but in Paddington? Clearly the men are also kept on a short leash. About the only nod to English pub fare is the pot pie, but it was a hot day, so it didn’t seem right. A Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16) suited the sunny afternoon; busting at the seams with coleslaw and tufts of pork, like an ostentatious wedding dress. The Peking Duck Pizza ($25) is so long, it needs its own table; but it wasn’t hard to make it through the football field of luscious duck, hoi sin sauce and mushrooms. A quiet pub hidden in the back streets of Paddington. It seems that whenever I travel around the back streets of the cities in Australia I seem to find a pub with the name London (though the London Tavern in Adelaide is hardly on a back street). I quite liked this pub. It had a quiet ambience about it, which is not surprising considering its location. Mind you I have also discovered that back street pubs are not necessarily less crowded than their cousins on major roads, however they still have an atmosphere that isn't replicated elsewhere. There was even a nice courtyard out the back, which is always a good thing. The only draw back was that I ended up talking to my friend over the phone, meaning that I wasn't able to fully take in the ambience of the place.
Great pizza, bargain price. I ended up here on a cold Tuesday night in May when the Paddo Inn up the road was as dead as a dodo. Lucky for my friend and me it was gourmet pizza and beer (or wine) for just $14. You can have any pizza from the menu (except the duck), which is great value, as the usual menu price is up to $21 for the pizza only. (The duck is only $22 so don't know why they don't just throw that one in too!)
And it was GREAT pizza! Really flavoursome, Nice thin base, a world away from the mass-produced Domino's cr@p. And a schooner of beer too, all for $14.
The back restaurant area was full so we sat in the main bar. It's not flash but it's OK. Why, oh why, do pubs put cinema-sized TVs everywhere? If I wanted to watch TV I'd stay at home. And the worst thing about the London is the lighting. Turn them down, create some atmosphere. It's a pub, not a bloody fish and chip shop! But the pizza was great, I'll go back. On a Tuesday!

As close as we will get to a proper british pub! We love this place! Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Good pub with multiple bars and areas for birthday lunches, big group drinks and watching the big match. Does get very busy on match days at SFS and SCG. So get in early or get ready for a squeeze.
A fun place for a group gathering like ours, good value good specials too. We had to move downstairs at 10PM on a Thursday, but many pubs seem to do this.
While this is not in London this pub is quite the place to wine and dine. We actually only come for trivia. Its a great vibe!
I like the London Hotel which is one of the glorious Paddington venues which jumps out and tasted the best food that I've had in the area. I can't recommend this place enough as a place to power up before having a shop down that way
Solid pub. Restaurant at back can get loud as it echoes a bit. Don't need a booking. Can also dine in the front bar. Typical pub food. Great location just near Oxford St.
